How does you family feel about Anime?

"Well, my brother watches some Animes too, but he's not really a fan of Manga or Anime, so I'm pretty much alone with my hobby...my mother doesn't like them at all, thinks it childish and silly, but well...I wouldn't ever try to convince her that Animes aren't just cartoons, 'cause she's not listening anyway ang she doesn't even want to know more about it, even if it's my greatest hobby.
I can't think of any other family member who would watch Anime, except of maybe my cousin, but he just watches Animes and Cartoons, he's too young to even distinguish these two."

"I wouldn't say that it was much different back when I was a kid (which isn't really that long), but I would definitely say that society has changed in the last, say, 25-30 years. but well, that's kinda normal; I'd say that society has drastically changed since the industrial revolution. without inventions like the train, steam engine, telephone, where would we be? there'd be no mobilty, no globalization, etc.
but the thing is, I believe that the technical progress has drastically grown in the last 20-30 years, and that the things invented in that time had really great influence on our society, and will have great influence further on.
but well, we're only talking about industrialized countries with capitalism as economic system.
so well yes, society has changed, will always change (hopefully). but I think that this transformation was a slow process.
I believe that when my mother was about my age (~1970), there existed groups as well, like the rock'n'rollers, the hippies or whatever you like, don't think that these things have much changed; I just think that people really started offending each other lately just because of a different style, music, etc, which is kinda sad.
and well, there are always people who believe they are god. that's wretched, but well. Ignore them, let them think whatever they like

Exam Results Failed: Your Reactions?

"I think that failing is something quite normal. If you have bad results in school, that doesn's mean that you're stupid or something; it just shows you're either not interested or not working enough, or, in the worst (my) case, both of it.
but killing yourself just because some stupid old people think that this is absolutley necessary for your education? killing yourself just because they think that?
hell, no! I got lots of bad marks and results along my way in school, and I never even thought about such thing.
you gotta learn how to deal with it, you can't always win, neither can you be good at everything; there'll always be things that you can't do as well as you wish, and you'll always fail in some way or another.
but failing is also part of our lifes; noone says that you shouldn't even try, but if you realize it's all no good...well, just leave it, there are people who can do it.
so my reaction is: take it easy. but take it. and try harder next time.

"Hmm, I wanna start Kendo in march~
but I don't really have that much time to care about sports because I'm still going to school, so the first thing I have to worry about are my grades (but I don't usually care anyways XD) and the other thing is that school takes sooo much time in my country >_>
I'm lucky I havn't go to school on saturdays~
but anyway, sports do almost ever cost very much, and I don't wanna spend money on that really :/ besides, doing sports in winter is ugly >_<
but in summer, I often go inline skating or dunno, anything that's possible ^^
but well, sometimes you just don't have a motivation to do anything, I know that all too well ^^'"

I myself want to move out quickly, after I graduated from Highschool, which is 1 1/2 years from now; it's not that I don't like my mum or anything, I just want to live on my own, stand on my own two feet.
I'm not quite sure what to do after my graduation, but I think I'm going to go somewhere for a year before studying, and I want to get out of Austria sometime; I want to move faaar far away from here and work in an other country ^^;

dreamed that I was in Japan or something, woke up, and suddenly Kenshin appeared near my...after a huge shock, I saw Naruto (?!) coming over, greeting both Kenshin and me, nad I was like: 'WTF's going on here?!'

"For some people it's like embarrassing to say that they watch Anime, but not for me. but there are people who don't understand all that stuff and who don't understand why I like Anime and Manga; they think it's stupid and childish (my mum thinks that too).
they just don't know anything about it, yet they jump to conclusions; and are shocked when other people tell them they like Anime as well.

" Traumatic Experience "

"When my father died...I was shocked, that was what you call a sudden death...he was just 47 years old, that was just..wow. still don't know what to think about that.

2nd: when my grandmother got hospitalized 4 times within a year, and died 2 years later while she got sicker and sicker every day; she was living with us and seeing her die so slowly was so painful, I never wanna do this again, really;

3rd: when a friend of mine said she'd never want our friendship to disband, but never did anything for it...this was going on for two years, and I always told her to talk to me, to call me, or write me e-mails, but she never did. so I just told her I wouldn't want to be friends with her anymore because it simply hurts when she always promises me things but she never keeps them;
so now I can either have a friendship or not, there's nothing in between. and I know that this is not good for me, too ^^'"

college and high school

"I'm in my second last year, and holy crap, I'll be SO HAPPY when I get out of this...institution!
people just suck, they're so damn noisy and talking abut things which are not worth even thinking about; and the pupils in my class are just chatting all the time, I can't even hear the teacher sometimes;
don't get me wrong, I hate school, but if I have to go there, I want to at least learn something, I'm not there to warm my chair!
school's no fun, you have to learn a lot of things you don't even want to, and I have to say that the educational system in Austria is not that good too.

teachers are mostly ok, they try to teach you something, but some things are just so unimportant and boring, I forget them a second after I've heard them.

so the thing really bothering me are the people. that's why I feel uncomfortable in my school, and that's why I wanna get out of there.
I'm really looking forward to studying, because at University I can learn things I really WANT to, not because someone forces me to do them.

why?
becuase there are always people wanting more than others, there will always be people wanting more than others without doing anything for it.
secondly, there is envy; this is one of the oldest things in history of mankind, and will always be there.
do i think a communistic system is the best way to solve all this?
no, I don't think so;
ask rich people if they would like to hav equitably world, they'll say "yes, of course!"
but who of these rich people would be willing to share their money, now, really?
I think that these are the two main reasons.

about france: well, there are sort of a lot unemployed teenagers there, but this is a real complex subject, plus, most of these teenagers come from ancient colonies. so there is not only the unemployment but also the cultural aspect; "

Low grades?what to say to your parents?

ask if I myself am happy with my low grades or do I want to change something.
if I don't care, then why should my mother?
see, nobody ever asks for school certificates in our country, so the only person I have do pay attention for in school is me, and the only person I have to proof something is also just me.
I don't care what anybody else thinks about my grades, as long as I can live with it.
of course, sometimes my mother tells me to try harder, but that's just not possible sometimes. but I try to do my best, so I can live with low grades, too. "

Relationships within the family??

"Hm, I have a brother, and I don't think I'd ever be able to feel more about him than ...yeah well, the way I love him as a sister does...that would be just too weird!
apart from the fact that the law doesn't allow it, there are as you said always the inbreeding and genetic defect factors. once there was something about siblings who had three children together on the tv, and all of their children had a mental disability. I just thought that their children are really poor, because they are the ones who suffer from the relationship of their parents.
I just can't imagine how it is possible to be in love with you brother/sister. plus, this is not accepted among society

and about the thing withe the animes/ video games: I havn't really noticed that yet, but well, they have to make them become not blood related in the end, because of the reasons I've just mentioned. also, if they really were blood related, would make the player feel really weird I guess ^^'"

"Ahm...I'm a girl, I always cover my mouth when coughing, and all of my female friends do as well...so, I'd say it just depends on one's manners.
but oh well, it's always sort of disgusting and makes me feel uncomfortable when someone doesn't cover his mouth when he's coughing. I've seen both, males and females not covering their mouths, so don't really think that this is a thing of gender..."
