After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! "I loved the first season of school rumble and the OAV, but it seems to me that the second season has lost a lot of the luster that the first season had. I've watched the 7 episodes that have aired thus far and I'm not impressed. Yes, there are some funny moments, but thus far the comedy level is not near as high as the first season. The story, little has it may be, doesn't seem to have progressed at all since the first season in these 7 episodes. I hope they do a better job the rest of the way through the series. I still enjoy watching it though."View

"I save all the anime that I download on DVD-R when I complete a series, unless the series is longer than 26 episodes. If that is the case, I place episodes on DVD-R once I reach the DVD size. This allows me to save hard drive space. Once I acquire the entire series on DVD, if it is licensed, then I throw away my fansub copies. The only time I will not get rid of my fansub copy is when the translations (subtitles) for the licensed DVDs are bad. So to answer the question, I do collect anime episodes; both fansubs and region 1 DVDs."View

"When I first heard that Naruto was licensed by Viz Media, I knew it wasn't going to turn out good. Plain and simple, Viz sucks. They don't subtitle songs, don't subtitle signs half the time, and their translation sucks too. And to make matters worse, they don't release DVDs in a timely manner (Inuyasha being the exception). Look how long it is taking them to release Masion Ikkoku (only 6 DVDs a year) and Flame of Recca (only 4 DVDs a year). And it looks like they are going to treat Naruto the same way with only 1 or 2 Box sets a year. What is even sadder is that they have Bleach as well. The only thing that could have been worse is if 4Kids had licensed it."View

"Yeah, I've been waiting for the second season to start since the first ended. I'm wondering why they decided to do this season in 4:3 instead of 16:9 like the first season. Then again, it could be that the on air versions are 4:3 and the DVD versions will be 16:9 just like how Elfen Lied was. Besides that, I have enjoyed the first 2 eps."View

Subs or Dubs?

"Ummmm... then tell me, what is the main difference in a high dollar movie produced by a major studio and a B Film? Its the acting. Take a well known, well renowned movie and replace the main actor with a crappy one and watch what happens. The movie that you used to love all of the sudden seems like crap. That is the same affect you get when you dub a series (anime or not). So don't tell me that a voice in an anime doesn't matter. Even if a studio uses a decent voice actor for a dub, it still cannot replace the original, intended voice actor. On a side note about GIST 2; that movie was nothing but eye candy. It was crap compared to the first movie."

Subs or Dubs?

"First, I will say that there is no such thing as a dub being better than the original. The creators of the anime choose the voice actor that they feel best represents that character. When a dub is made, you have replaced the voice that was initially intended for that character, thus changing the original work. No matter how "good" you think a dub is, it cannot even get close to matching the quality of the original. Also, as mentioned above, dubs in the US try to match the lip movements of the character. Doing this requires that a sentence in Japanese be converted in English to equal the time the lips move. Doing this process destroys the original sentence that was spoken in Japanese because that sentence in English could be shorter or longer when said. For people who say that subtitles take away from the artwork and that they can't keep up with subtitles because they go away to fast, you need to seriously learn how to read. I have no problem reading a sentence while thoroughly watching the show. If the subs have a good translation, then you understand the show far more than watching it dubbed. So yes, I am a dub hater. I'd rather watch the show in Japanese without subs, than watch the dub of it."View

"Anime is just like live action movies in the sense that everyone has a preference in watch they want to watch. I, on the other hand, watch anything and everything that is anime. If I start watching a series, I will finish watching it all the way through even though I may not really like it (which is extremely rare since I enjoy just about everything). If you like something, who cares what others think. Watch what you enjoy.BTW: Azumanga is one of my favorite anime series and I also enjoyed Onegai Twins (although I liked Onegai Teacher far greater).

"When I was watching the first episode I thought that there was something wrong with the source or the encode (16:9 but only 4:3 shown). After the ep was over I thought that it was a very original idea to do a whole episode like that. Yes the series is funny, but no where near Azumanga funny. I've laughed more watching Honey and Clover. All in all it seems like it will be an interesting series."View

"The episodes that are airing now are fillers. There are a couple of weeks left of them until it resumes the path of the manga. They did this to allow the manga to get futher ahead. So you just have to bare these eps for a few more weeks and then the story will get back on track."View

"Like most people, I've pulled all nighters watching a series. When I first got broadband in the late 90s, I'd stay up for hours at a time downloading anime episodes (this was back in the RM days, before AVIs were the thing). I remember downloading and watching all of DB and DBZ in crappy RM format, or downloading and watching all 96 episodes of Maison Ikkoku in one run. Today, I'm still downloading new series as they come out but I also buy just about every anime DVD that comes out each mouth (which is at least $500 a month). If its an anime that has come out within the past 10 years, I've probably seen it and probable own the DVDs or fansubs of it."View

Are you into anime so much that you are denying your body proper sleep, food, and exercise?
