After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

"Oh...yeah...I just resized the image for visibilitie's sake...figured it doesn't need to be full-size for review ^.^ the actual paper's size is totally 1024x768...and the Illustrator file is bigger than that @~-J@. thanks for the suggestion (and so quickly too) I shall play with the track colors for sure ^__^"View

"Alright...I'm a total n00b, so please don't flog me if I screw something up. Here is the link to my paper(I hope):I'm still trying to figure out the elements of a good wallpaper...seems like it should be fairly straight forward; just go for good design, right? I don't really know though. I don't know if the text is working, if the vector accents are working...I like the little circlces in the upper left corner, but do they fit with the rest of the paper? Does it all seem too random? I'm really not sure. Please off any advice/critique/criticism you have to offer. I'm open ^__^.
P.S.
The paper size is weird just cause I resized it in consideration of loading time and ease of viewing. The actual paper's dimensions are 1024X768. Should I not resize for future postings?"

"Well the thing is that they are a combination of shinigami and hollow; not so much half and half, but both/and. So it’s the combined power of a shinigami and a hollow in one being…pretty dang scary to think about.What I think is awesome is how on the one hand we have the Arancars(the Shinigami-Hollows that Aizen made) and on the other hand we have the Vizards(the masked guys that Ichigo is working with). Both are a combination of Hollow and something else, but the Arancars seem closer to the side of Hollow while the Vizards are more like humans. In the end, you know that the Vizards are going to be the trump card that tips the balance for everything. If Ichigo can manage to keep his mask for longer than a few seconds, he’ll be insanely awesome!

"I’m not sure what look your going for in this image. Is this supposed to be a poster taped to a wall? A page out of a scrapbook? A random photograph? The image could be any of those things, but makes not indication for if it’s actually any one of them.Cool concept, but I’m not a fan of the paper. I think you should pick a theme. If you want it to look like a snapshot, or a scrapbook or whatever, work a bit more on capturing what that should look like. Maybe do a google search for pictures of scrapbooks to give you some more ideas. If the image or Ororon is supposed to be a photo, isolate it and make it look like it was glued or taped onto the page.
Personally, I think you could drop the whole photo concept completely. This image would lend itself very well to a simplified color pallet; classic black, white, and red. If you drop all the color from the image so that everything is in black and white except maybe some gray tones in his hair and definite gray tones for the eyes, you could overlay a stronger red on the petals, have nice sharp script font for your text, and find a nice splatter brush to splatter some blood across the image.
If the image of Ororon filled the whole right side of the paper, cropped down to just in front of his ear it would make for a better page layout as well. Good luck with this project…hope my comments were useful.

"I think it would be interesting to experiment with moving the main image over more so that only half of his face is showing. It would really be an experiment, cause with half his face gone, it would probably look less like Hatori, but it would also a) call attention to his damaged eye, and b) give the wallpaper a bit more space…it feels just a little crowded as is. If nothing else, I’d say move the image over enough to cut of that peaking corner of blue above his shoulder on the left side of the paper. I think it's a little distracting.As far as image quality…I think it looks ok. The artist’s work is all in a similar slightly washed- out looking style, so it doesn’t bother me. Perhaps a little push on the color balance will help it look a little less fuzzy for others though. Your call.
I think the text is ok, but avoid the “text box” look. I’m guessing that the text is supposed to represent memories and something a lot more ethereal. The way that the quotes are handled though is very static. Break the lines, vary their sizes, let them overlap a little. It’ll give the words an airier feel…like they’re floating in that space. I think it would be better to handle the text as an additional texture rather than actual content.
I agree with the others, either up the opacity on that back image or take it out completely. I don’t mind the font choice in the top right corner; I think it fits the idea that the words are trying to get across. I really like the font choice for the name (wouldn’t mind if you told me where you got it ^__~) and I really like the background too. Hope these comments were useful! Very nice job so far.
