"I like the artwork...CLAMP's art never fails to impress me. For me, the plot is passable as a nice anime...I rarely get bored while watching this anime. Instead, what I got was a lot of laughs...when Chii's and Hideki's silly antics amused me. And the way every character have their own relationship and memories with Persocoms is mysterious and intriguing. I like how they weaved it into the plot...

I particularly loved the moment when Chii lost her memory, and the words Hideki said to her...it was so touching that I almost cried o.o And I loved it that it had a happy ending, instead of a sad one xD

However, it is not the type of anime that will induce me to watch it a second time. Once is enough >.<"

"I agree that Fushigi Yuugi is a beautiful anime, especially when you consider the year it was done...My fav character in this series would be Chichiri...he is so funny at times, and so serious, and has a dark past too~

I guess my fav couple in FY would not be Miaka x Tamahome (Miaka is sometimes too childish and idiotic for my liking) Erm...perhaps it's Nuriko x Hotohori?

There are a number of Fushigi Yuugi OVA's...they are quite a nice watch~~ Check it out if you have the time xD

But I like the new series - Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden much more better than this one. For one, the main character is much more likeable than Miaka...she is wiser and stronger too o.o"

Atheism, a religion?

So my point is, why are atheists so against religion, if they are technically a religion themselves?
Also what happens to atheists when they have wiped humanity clean of all other religions and are now worshipping the almighty Dick(Richard Dawkins, I call him Dick (_/)..).



Not all atheists are against religion. I'm an atheist myself, and my family are Buddhists. I don't try to convert their belief, nor do I try to interfere with their religious activities...heck, sometimes I even do join them when they go to the temple to pray. Most atheists are certainly not so fanatic in their beliefs, that they would want to alter someone else's beliefs...at least my friends who are atheist are like me.

I want to stress that atheism is NOT a religion...it's more like the lack of it. Atheists simply don't worship any god.

And I seriously don't get the second part >.<"

2) Fix the bugs in the groups

3) Would a chat room be possible?

4) Advanced tag search for the scans gallery, and maybe the wallpaper gallery too...

5) A search engine that can search the whole gallery or forum instead of only that particular page

Back to seriousness, 30 minutes is too short for a person to go on a date with someone else, and girls should be more cautious of dating someone they barely know. Like gilead said, the ones who are unlucky might end up on 6 o clock news or have their faces plastered on the 'missing' column the next day. It's not a wise move to date with strangers. Better start with being friends, get to know him or her better and observe them."

I will take care of my parents. But my parents, especially my father, encourage me to think of my own family first, once I have one. Well, I can't argue with him if he insist to. So taking care of my parents comes in, maybe, third or fourth. The first is of course my own children then in second is my wife.


Your father sounds quite independent, but do you realise that maybe he was just suggesting that you put your family first, while his heart wishes that you would care for him more? Some parents are like that - they say that they don't need you to take care of them so that you won't feel burdened, but they will still feel hurt if you place them at the third or fourth priority.

For me, if I already have a family, I would place my parents at the first or second place, depending on the situation, their ability to cope with it, and how much my family needs me. I would not want to abandon either of them...

And I agree with vixvix, that we need to treat our parents with patience. When people get old, they tend to get irritated pretty easily, and if we retaliate, we just hurt their feelings and the relationship, so patience is really important to sustain the relationship.

"I have a weakness for the cool, quiet guys who have a complicated background, like Uchiha Itachi from Naruto, or those who likes fooling around but can be serious at some moments, like Fai from TRC. I get attached to them pretty quickly and easily.

For girls in anime or manga, I prefer those who are strong-headed and will not hesitate to stand up against her enemies, or those who are cute and clumsy, but I have forgotten the names...(I get attached to guys more than girls, coz I'm a girl XD)...and the girls have to be kind too~"

The Feeling of False Hope

"There's so much hypocrisy and lies in our world lately that it's kinda hard to distinguish the line between false and true. In the past, the relationship between people are more sincere and trustworthy. Now, where technology has improved immensely, the cases of fraud, theft, and crimes as such increases without stopping. In the past, people are free to wander around even after the sky has darkened, but now, we are told to stay home when it's dark - for safety.

When I was young, I used to think that everyone around me is kind and can be trusted, but this illusion was long since deprived since I'm in my teenage years. More often than not, there is a reason why people help me, or do something nice to me. I have even learnt not to give my complete trust to anybody, whether it is my relatives or friends. It's almost the truth now - people normally will only do things when it has some benefit for them.

But I still can't say that I have given up hope for a better world, although it might not be possible. Now, I'm perfectly content just to live with what I have, and survive. It's better to be pessimistic and cynical, than to lose hope o.o"

When you're watching anime...

"I have never thought of this before, but I don't think that I watch anime just for fun...after watching some anime series with a deeper plot, i will need some time to digest everything that I have seen, and try to take lessons from them...for example, Rurouni Kenshin, X /1999...i dislike those with simple plots that can be easily guessed...like Pokemon, Sailormoon and such...coz it's like you fight, you lose at first then you win o.o"

It's disturbing for us right now because the technology we're using are so new that we're not used to it. We have to ask ourselves, why should we mix animals and human genes together? Are there any benefits? Are the pros and cons of such genetic mixing worth it? If scientists are using this technology for a good use, and keep such technology rare (that is, to only have a handful of these human/animal breeds) I think it should be okay, but there're definately going to be people complaining about it.



Yes, it's a general trait of human beings to be apprehensive and complain about things that are new to them, but if it's really beneficial to mankind, why should the scientists care? Unless they are doing something immoral, i.e. harming the animals in cruel ways...etc etc, they should progress with the research as they would. If scientists stop everything they do just because there are people who complain about it, there would not be all the fabulous inventions in this world. In technology, there has to be give and take, in order to increase improve the knowledge we have right now.

The hormone insulin is mass produced by inserting bacteria into cows, and the benefit of it is that more diabetes patients can be cured at less costly fees. If the technology can eventually save human lives, why should we go against it?

Genetic mixing has existed for a long time...scientists use genetic engineering to maintain the crops harvest and quality...and until now it's still under debate whether GM foods will pose harm to humans' health. But an undeniable fact is that GM foods has helped overcome famine in some parts of the world, and prevent starvation too.

Back to the topic, I feel that restrictions should exist to control the researchers, and prevent them from coming up with mutants that might be dangerous and hard to control. But there are still fanatic researchers who will ignore the rules and produce so called chimeras just because they feel like it. Personally I feel that interfering with Nature will eventually bring back hazardous results (look at our environment now, compared to a few hundred years before, as a result of development in technology) but we have managed to survive. Development always has its consequences, it's just a matter of whether it's big or small. It's good to save human lives though, even if we have to resort to using animal organs..."

I have never tipped although i would like to....i kinda feel a bit awkward leaving money on the table especially when in some occasions the tables remain unclean for some time. I mean what happens if someone steals it? oO... I do think however that tipping is an action that shows politeness and courtesy... wow ...i just remembered that hilarious scene in "reservoir dogs" about tipping...ahahaha


Er...you might try giving your tip to the waiter directly if you feel that the table is too dirty >.<

I have never watched 'reservoir dogs' before, so would you care to elaborate?

"I know that there are some parents in the West who are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves, and they might not need the children to take care of them. I think some countries give monthly allowances to the elderly too, so that they won't need to depend on their children. I think that's a good measure, provided that the parents are emotionally strong, and will not feel lonely when their children are not with them~

of course, there are some exceptions...those parents that abuse their children, or abandon their children does not deserve to be taken care of by their children, for obvious reasons. If the parents cannot shoulder the responsibility, it's unfair to ask the children to do the same...

But I hope I will be able and capable to take care of my own parents in the future...it might be easy to say that I can do that now, (I'm still young and it's them who are taking care of me), but I really hope that I won't become a cold-blooded animal when I grow up o.o But my parents are quite independent though...I will try not to interfere too much with their lives..just be there for them"
