Looking at my music collection on my computer I have about an equal amount of J-pop/rock, rock/classic rock, and hip hop. I just listen to whatever fits the mood, but nowadays I find myself rapping along more and more. I'm pretty sure the people who are next to me on the road look over from their car and find me pretty funny."

Hip Hop

"Hip Hop, in my definition includes rap, r&b, and beat music. Be it mainstream radio or underground unknowns. After looking through the first few pages and doing a quick search for hip hop it seems that no one here has discussed or listens to it.

Now, I'm not looking to start a mainstream/popular vs. underground/indie discussion. Just wanted to see if anyone else loves the genre as much as I do. Let's try to keep it open minded and have none of the "rap is crap" syndrome. I listen to all types of music as well from metal to j-pop and respect all music.

To start off, the reason I like hip hop is mainly because of the beats, I'm an instrumental type of person and I get more out of a song from the instruments/beat than I do from the lyrics. Typically I get drawn in by the beat then after a few spins I'll start to take note of the lyrics be they whack or not. In general I don't like mainstream hip hop with their talk about rims and whatnot, I like artists like Mos Def and Talib Kweli who have something worthwhile to say."

Do you get jealous when people are talking about anime or about your favorite character?

"I wouldn't mind if they talked about anime or a favorite character, but the imitation would probably bug me.

I actually support more people to talk about anime because I could use more friends who like it. I normally don't talk about say like in class or something cause when your almost 20 a lot of people think its "weird" to like anime. Most of my closer friends don't mind the hobby, I just wish they partook in it sometimes, so I'd have some to talk about the anime with."

"It pretty much sucks...ive given up on naruto till the fillers end...i still enjoy watching the ones with lee in them tho since hes one of my favorite characters. The filler is bad simply cause it feels like the anime is goin no where and theres no storyline whatsoever. Because it makes the viewer feel like the filler is useless itll be the downfall of naruto if they ever launch those episodes in the US for weekly viewing. Naruto up until the filler was amazing...i couldnt stop watching but now...i dread the thursday and at the same time hope for a non filler episode to be released."

How long did you watch anime, when and how you start

"My first anime ever was Sailor Moon and Revolutionary girl Utena cause my cousin rented the videos and we watched them. That was back when i was around 6 years old. then i watched pokemon on tv for a long time with yu gi oh and the digimon stuff during my 10-13 years. I stopped watchin anime up untill junior year of high school when i started again from browsing our network to find that somebody was shareing anime so i watched Samruai Deeper, Chobits and Love Hina. From then on i pretty much started downloading and reading about anime on my own. I've never really had a hobby growing up but im pretty sure anime is my thing now. Im 18 now so that makes 12 years with anime on and off.

"Of course the majority of replies would be FF7. I for one hold the same opinion. As for why, i dunno, when i play FF7 i actually just get a feeling about it whether its the story, the characters, or both. I feel strangely compelled to play and i enjoy every moment of it, i certainly cant say that for any other game I've played up to now. I guess in short, i experience actual emotions when i play the game, instead of being indifferent to the characters and story and playing for entertainment. I feel sad when im supposed to feel sad and im happy when im supposed to be happy and most importantly i feel like i need to kick ass when im supposed to kick ass."

"I handle stress by taking a walk alone or with a friend, I listen to music, or watch a lot of anime haha. It just seems that I can forget about my problems (or solve them) after talking to a friend. I can lose myself in a song or in laughing at some funny scene in an anime."

"Recently I've been hooked to comedy type animes. It started when i began school rumble last year and now I've watched: He is my Master, FMP: FUMOFFU, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
