"Hi there!

Saw your Shout.

1st thing, once you get started on this project you will realize how many more hours you will put into your backdrop with the bridge and the castle then it took on any other part of the wall. But, if you stick with it, and make it look good. I will def +Fav it for effort on the backdrop.

Now, your scan...

Did you use the eraser? I haven't seen that technique in sometime now. Have you tried using the magnetic lasso in our friendly program Photoshop? That seems to cut around blurry/hi rez images to the pixel!

But all in all still a good extraction.

Back to the background. What I would try and do is on the castle picture. Get rid of the brown brick wall. Once that is done, I would cut out the bridge from the other picture. and then put the castle under the bridge as another layer. So layer 1 would be castle with no brick wall. Layer 2 would be the bridge. and layer 3 would be your scan. From there on its your creativity and effort to make all of these pictures seem like they "BELONG TOGETHER!" ( Keep thinking of those 2 words in the quotes and you will do just fine on this wall )

Anyways, its your wall. I just want to help make your mind open some more with ideas.

"Tachibana Ukyo--Based on Sasaki Kojiro Genryu (?--1612), Musashi's
skilled rival. Genryu wielded a VERY long sword called the "Drying
Pole". He was reputed to be the most skilled swordsman around, and
could slice swallows in mid-air, according to Yoshikawa. The preface
to the Book of Five Rings says that he developed a sword technique
inspired by the movement of a swallow's tail in flight. This is the
basis of Ukyo's "swoop swallow slice". Genryu even named the school
of swordsmanship he founded Tsumabe Gaeshi.
Nevertheless, during their duel Musashi killed him in one blow (two,
according to some accounts). Just like Ukyo and Haohmaru, Musashi and
Genryu fought on an isle off of the coast of Japan, and Musashi showed
up late for the duel as a psychological tactic (this could explain
why Ukyo and Haohmaru are at the same place, but totally different
times). After he defeated Genryu, the island was renamed Genryu Isle
("Gairyu Isle"), although it's actually by Shimonoseki. Note that this
was Musashi's most famous duel, and is pretty much a cultural reference
in Japan.
Incidentally, in the book Musashi, Genryu comes off as a totally
selfish and arrogant bastard. Unlike Ukyo, he's not a womanizer
either. And he doesn't face away from his opponents, with his
sword in his scabbard. AND he doesn't have blue hair :-)
SS2--As for Ukyo having tuberculosis, Genryu never came down with it.
He didn't live long enough.

Anyone that knows anything of the book of five rings knows this man...
I would believe he goes back the farthest I know of...

"I dont know, its a close tie between Xenogears and FFVII for me, I just love the music and the story of Fei! Especially towards the end when the plot is finally revealed! On the other hand cloud is the same way, so I would say they are so close because the main character goes through the same situations.

woah.. I never thought about it like that. That's pretty cool.

Wow you didnt know that? did you also know that the entire ending to eva is based off the bible? The ancient scrolls? and also that shinji's eva was crucified by "ANGELS" :) yea its pretty sweet, and yes, shinji is the NEW WORLD adam, and asuka is the NEW WORLD eve. Also if you notice in the movies when asuka is bleeding from her head...she is also bleeding from the palms of her hands! Which is also another bible reference.

Although I cant say to much about all of this stuff, because I havent read to much of religious background stuff. But I read enough to really really understand the ending of eva."
