Trick or Treat by °chanelqueen17 1 month 1 week ago

^nat
After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Planetrender stuff should be insta-rejected on here ;)

Yea, they even render screenshots, of course quality is -censored due strong language-

~NosVII 6 minutes ago

Your efforts will pay out = planetrenders.net WILL DIE

With the sketch effect, you still have to trace an original path for it to be applied.

~NosVII 11 minutes ago
Ye, I noticed a "Sketch" function in the release notes too that might do something similar too, haven't tried

*moutonzare 13 minutes ago
It's already in it but the results can be worse than hand made vector X)

Have you ever tried potrace?

~NosVII 18 minutes ago
I am still waiting on the auto-vector button ;)

Careers: Do it for Money or Passion?

3 months 2 weeks ago

"You may first go for the money over passion, but I think eventually, you might just end up hating it. I think if your planning to do something for the rest of your life, you might as well go for your passion, who knows if you passionate about something, you might just end up making money out of it any way "

Books or Internet

10 months 2 weeks ago

"Both, internet is great with just starting - to see what information is out there in regards to the topic, it is also more likely to be up to date, but books are also good - for the basic information or when your sick of looking at a computer screen ^_____^

Still prefer looking at a book though"

Why did you like Code Geass

1 year 2 months ago

"I don't know why T_T. I was so close to turning it off in the first episode with the chess match, but I gave it a go and I really love the whole military tactics of it..then I just have to keep watching to see what happens in the end, I was dissapointed that they really didn't end it in the first season, because it meant that I had to keep watching LOL. But yeah, I like but def not a favourite of mine."

Console or PC?

1 year 2 months ago

"I agree with tadbattery. Plus what raiden55 its really about what type of games you like to play and if they are on Console or PC. Personally I'm a console gamer, I've been laying consoles since I was 5 (go sega lol), I haven't really found a game that I really love on the PC other than AOE and maybe empire earth, Sims (plenty of arcade style games though).

Exam Results Failed: Your Reactions?

1 year 2 months ago

"Being at Uni for 3 years made me realise that it isn't worth your health. Really. I'm yet to fail a course but I have failed an assignment once. It was really lack of attention to the class and me not wanted to know it ( I disliked that class/ was struggling with the content), I felt terrible and stressed over it, but you know - it was a great learning experience. You got to realise that your not good at everything or not always with it and your bound to fail at something in life. School/Uni is the same. So yeah, can understand the dissapointment, but it's not worth stressing over. I suggest just get after seeing such a result - just get away from it all, take a break and come back refreshed and better for the next one"

Do you laugh alone in the street?

1 year 2 months ago

"Lol like all the time. I'm just one of those people who can't hold back when I see something funny. I've had it soo many times when I'm the only one who finds something funny and I'm the only one laughing out loud. And with memories, usually smile and chuckle to myself, I'm not going to hold back if I find something funny (of course except if it may hurts some ones feelings)"

Fortune Teller, horoscope, and so on...

1 year 5 months ago

"LOL I'll only believe in it when it's good xD

nah, I do read horoscopes every now and then, can't say I believe in it 100% but I have had some pretty freaky coincidences when it comes to them though.

Never been read by a fortune teller or anything like that, had few of my mates do it though and yeah..freaky 'coincidences'

I do find it interesting though"

Your desired living environment

1 year 5 months ago

"How about not quite in the city but not quite in the country either? That's my ideal place, A hinterland area near the coast? It's 20 min away from the biggest city (beaches, shopping etc), but yet it's still out some where, where you don't have to breathe in the fumes of cars. All you hear is the birds and the wind going through the trees ^^

That's if development doesn't come in a destroy it, but hey it happens."

What Makes You Buy and Play a Video Game?

1 year 6 months ago

"If I'm already a fan of the series then I usually don't hesitate to buy the game (unless of course I don't have the money XD) However if it's a new game that I haven't heard of but looks like I might like it, I'll read some reviews then decide. If it's at the local video store then I'll hire it out first before buying it. Otherwise like others have said, it all comes down to personal preference"

Does watching anime ever depress you?

1 year 6 months ago

"The only time I feel depressed after watching an anime is if the story line was pretty sad or I didn't like the ending LOL. I have to agree with tishdon finding a new anime to watch is always an adventure or for me (because I have a huge list of 'to see' anime) it's a accomplishment because it means that I'm one step closer to crossing off all on the list (which will never happen because I keep adding more on to it XD"

Which Career Path would you Follow?

1 year 6 months ago

"Do what your heart sets out it wants to do and you'll always live happy ^_^.

I'm going for what I think I'd like to to, but since I've haven't really 'done' it yet, i'm still not 100% sure. Having said that if it turns out I do like it - it's not a bad paying job from the start so lucky I got the best of both worlds XD But if I didn't like it, I wouldn't hesitate to quit for something that I liked. I don't want to be stuck in a career that I hate- just not me"

Moving Out

1 year 6 months ago

"With the cost of living the way it is, I won't be moving out for a while. First I have to finish Uni, then I have to get the job, then I have to save up, then I have to battle others to actually find a decent place to rent lol.

It will be exciting when I can finally move out though ^^"

Can apes hold the future?

1 year 6 months ago

"It's obvious the Earth- our planet- will go on with or without us, I guess, talking about the theory of evolution - regardless of what we do to the planet, we will adapt around it eventually evolve maybe.

We may be a cancer to the planet, but there is no way that cancer can win. Not the way humans are and not the way the planet is. Life in the future may be very different to what it is now - but the planet will still be there"

The Ending

1 year 8 months ago

"Like what everyone else has been saying the ending can make or break an anime. I can love an anime all the way through but will semi-like or even hate it due to the way it ends. In particular endings that leave it open or half finish the story. I can take anime that leaves you thinking, but when there are obvious holes in the story, it's annoying."

Having never watched or read aynthing to do with RxJ before, this was completely new. Loved the story. The ended..I didn't really enjoy.

SPOILER (click to view)

But even so, I'd give it hmm..7.5 out of 10?"

From game to movie or Movie to game.....

1 year 8 months ago

"

I agree with Sylvok a metal gear movie would be interesting (if they don't destroy it)

anywho, Movie to games, for me generally don't work. The only one that has worked for me and as others have already mentioned was 007 Golden Eye infact it still works for me, I have so much fun on that fame multiplayer.

So usually I tend to like games to movie (though most of them aren't done that well >_>) Silent Hill was ok, Resident Evil was destroyed (wth did they do with claire?!? Advent children was done pretty good, but if you have no idea about the games it's wouldn't have appealed to you (obviously a movie made for the fans), FF: Spirits within was an ok stand alone movie, but would have loved to have seen more of a 'Final Fantasy' Feel to it.

I guess i'm alright with games to movies, for the games I love it still holds some entertainment value (like screaming while the movies on how much they destroyed it) but it would be nice if they'd get it right.

and now I hear that capcom is making a CG Resident Evil move - I like, I like very much!"

Return to the past

"As tempting as it is, I dont' think I would change anything of my life. I'm quite happy with the way things have turned out. The mistakes I've made in the past make me who I am now, so I would I turn out if I changed those mistakes and would I want to be that person?"

Computer Glasses

"Yeah I remember them! There kind of old school now though aren't they? I had them on the screens when I was in Primary school almost 10 years ago now (..i'm getting old..T_T) But as most people already stated here, I don't think on the newer screens you really need them.

Just don't spend ridiculus amount of time on the computer, or do eye exercises (I think they work?)"

Have you noticed ..

1 year 8 months ago

"Well, I didn't really pay attention to that sort of stuff when I was younger - So I don't really know if it is worse. Talking to my parents, I do know that there were kids when I was little talking back to their parents and being rude generally, whether it's worse now I don't know.

I guess it stems from the fact that kids can get away with anything these days - talking more teenagers. I mean, adults can't touch them and if any one does they get sued. Knowing that no one can do anything do them, to punish them has kinda lead to the feeling that they are invinvible.

I don't think kids these days are any more materialistic. At any age a kid wants all the new toys and that stuff and at any age their parents are going to want to spoil them and give them everything."

Global Warming

1 year 8 months ago

"I won't question the carbon dating thing ( as I've said, I have no idea how accurate it is)

The earth just might be going through that cycle that you stated ( I won't claim to disagree with you there), but it still doesn't answer the question on whether or not carbon is having an effect on the atmosphere. Say we are going through that cycle - couldn't carbon still be effecting the global climate - it would just be like a double whammy.

Galileo proved that the earth goes through its natural cycles ( which should be common knowledge) but unfortunately it doesn't disprove that carbon and humans are having an effect on the climate.

global warming isn't a myth - without it we would all be frozen the question is whether or not humans are pushing it outside it's boundry and hence creating enhanced global warming effect.

Global Warming

1 year 8 months ago

"The only people who have the right to say that humans aren't having an effect on global warming are those who have been back in time/ gone into the future and have seen the effects of it...

anyone?

didn't think so..

1) humans have never been on this planet with such a population before

2) As far as recorded history goes, there has only been one industrial age when we started pumping up the carbon at a significant rate.

3) How accurate and how far back can carbon dating go (the ice core things - though I don't claim to be an expert in it ^^;)

So we really don't have a clue what's going to happen well not until it's too late any way. So I don't know about you guys but I'd rather do something now then find out the consequences later on. Either way we have to - oil and coal isn't going to last forever and humans can't survive with out clean water, clean air and biodiversity around us.

Now I know I said different in my first post but I've done a bit of thinking since then -Al Gore scaremongering? the media over reacting? maybe. But when you think about it people (as a whole) will only change if they are scared into it or if they are feeling it in their bank accounts."
