I would say it's probably because of two things here. One being the logo at the top. It gets cut off in a strange way that seems like just a craftsmanship error. The other thing that appears to be an issue is the simplicity of the wallpaper. It may not quite be considered your own work because it looks like a one-tone background with a live trace layed over it. For most people, this involves about 5 minutes worth of work and a scan. That could easily be the reasoning behind rejection, but I'm not exactly the expert here.

"Its interesting, the scan need to be extracted better, I can see white pixels around the scan.

I think the scan have too much depth compare with the background which looks absolutely flat."

1.Render/scan need to be blended.
2. Stock photo background looks too realistic, more work need to be done there.
3. Stock photo is blown up, therefore it looks blurry and tacky.
4. Text really look boring, try to improve that, also nor the red stroke or the yellow inside on the text fit the background/wallpaper AT ALL!

"REALLY simple font normally does the work, font that looks like Arial, or times new roman are usually the best font out there!

Also the sea still looks a bit fake, I think the mountain is sort of OK, it just lacks some details, the beach ball looks good."

Do you even know what vector means? Vector is not something which you make jurky lines and make the whole scan look shitty...

Also, the wallpaper looks extremely boring, the scan and the background doesnt blends into each others at all."

"Well, Ive seen many wallpapers (some good too!) which are vectored with a mono thickness, I don't see a problem there, and it shouldn't be rejected part of/just because of that, but i do prefer different thickness of lines, it looks much better."

I'm just wondering how do you draw the outline of something on adobe and not have it messy?? Can somebody tell me...Ummm... it really is harsh, but thanks I learned alot from the comments...umm.. can somebody please tell me what wallpaper size is.....um...if you can please tell me more criticism thanks!!


If you want to draw out the character your self on photoshop, you could try use the pen tool and vector the thing out (theres some tutorials out there, have a look!)"

"Its a bit harsh, but if you're a good member, you would check the guide and forum first before doing anything.

I think the background looks usually boring simular to most of the first time uploaders asking for help here :)

Also, did you paint that girl yourself or something? The outline looks quite messy (my opinion), or is it just stylish, who knows."

"Well, I've seen some description worse than that, its like 1 or 2 lines in the description box, anyway, I've been fined for more weird reason, first was not having name matching my sig, which I did put HyDr@ on my custom title (well, I guess thats just not enough :) which nat just rejected and some how didnt fine me paper @_@ ) and 2nd time was some people's monitor cant view the text (its black bg and the text is lighter grey)."

"I think the background lacks a bit of contrast, you know, that actually makes the wall boring, enrich the colour and you will find big improvement in it.

Have a mess around with Levels, Curves, Colour Balance, becareful not to overcontrast it tho!"

Sorry I designed this on a LCD screen so I think some details may be a bit to subtle for different types of monitors. The white (if you can't see it) is striped with off-white lines (scan-line effect). I'm not making excuses, just making up for a something I never thought of.



Are you talking about the text (white stripe) thats where I can see it only xD

Anyway, on the text, I don't like how you did shadow on this wallpaper, its a bit soft?

I don't know, maybe its me, I don't really like text like this, I liked text to be sharp!

"Is it a scan or vector? sasuke looks pretty high quality anyway, the background lacks a bit of colour, I don't really like it being grey, have you tried full colour, but on itachi, dont fully grey it out, make it less contrast, so the focus is on sasuke."
