After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Buying a laptop

"Do you have a price limit?4gb ram laptops are somewhat rare right now unless you buy a huge 17"-20" laptop which is hard to lug around since it is 8+ pounds. I'm assuming you're going to be carry it around campus so it might be really tiring. Some people decide to get a separate hand carried bag for the laptop.
My laptop has 2gb ram and when i first boot it up, 27-30% of the ram is gone already. I'm assuming its Vista since I'm not really running anything. So its safe to assume that vista takes at least 500mb of your ram.
Also, try to stay away from AMD cores. My computer gets really hot even though its in standby mode and I think its the AMD core. In terms of performance, Intel and AMD are about the same but AMD seems to overheat on me quite a bit.
I don't think wireless is an issue since most laptops have wireless now. Another options for wireless and Bluetooth and Infrared(useless in my opinion). Bluetooth is also somewhat rare on laptops right now but I'm pretty sure the Macbook has one.

"That's one of the problems with tags. Although tags is a great idea and makes a certain type of wallpaper easier to find, it is also very vulnerable to be exploited. Ever since Youtube got tags, some people just wrote as many tags as they could think of to get more exposure. Is AP going to create rules against abusing tags?"

"Hmm..I think the buildings look a little bit flat. Lower the opacity of the farther buildings with the sky behind it. Closer bulildings lower a bit of opacity or not at all. I've been told by some people that blurring the farther buildings adds perspective. It doesnt work for me or I can't do it but you can try it."View

"I like the attempt at a splistic background but the character quality of the character doesnt match. As Blu3 said, its a bit grainy. If you have the patience, you can try vectoring it to match the style o f the background. If you don't know how to vector, this would not make for an easy vector. The text for the analysis is kind of hard to read too. Also, the box that include her name and info seems to be a bit too long for the length of text. The other two boxes fir the text perfectly which makes the one with the name unfitting."View

"I've watched the first three episode too and I must say that this is one of the most overlooked anime out there. Although the graphics do impress me, the storyline is what I'm hooked on. The storyline reveals more and more as it goes. For example, in episode 3,. Those who are still deciding if it's worth seeing or not, if you want a good storyline, then go watch it. I think the budget for this show is considerably high too."

"I like the concept and the colours. The thing that's bugging me is the landscape(mainly the ground). The ground looks so realistic in comparisno to the character and the grave. Also, the mist seems to be too evenly distributed. The farther the mist is, the more concentrated it sould be. So when it's at the trees, it should almost be opaque."View

"Pretty good for a first wall. i noticed the the scan was a bit dirty. If you want to fix it, here's how you do it:1-Duplicate the layer
2-Gausian blur 1.0px of the new layer
3-Change the blending mode. Just try out and see what blening mode looks best. Overlay and Screen give that 'surreal' look.
The bottom left of the tattered cape has a bit of bad extraction. Same with the top right of the tattered cape. I can still see a bit of the white on the edges of the cape.
The backgound looks a bit plain. Maybe you could add some text on the left or brush things to help your character blend in better."

"I watched the anime and stopped at around episode 12 becaues it got kind of boring. beginning of the anime showed potential but it slowly dragged away from the story. After a while, one episode had no relation to the next and it became Power Rangers. The guy who sits in the command center while the others fight knows exactly how to train each person jsut in time for the next fight which gets repetitve after a while. Also, the episode always starts out as the good guys losing and then winning after they remember what they were taught during training in that episode. "View

About your suggestions, what do you mean by the sand/khaki coloured background? Are you talking about the purple background? And I guess I could take off tha pattern on the green pattern on the umbrellas too. I put it there to try to empasize the style anyways. And what's wrong with the starfield? Again, trying to elaborate on the style more instead of filling with solid colour.
