This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Saiyuki Wall Advice

"Thanks for the help... I think that I might do a lot more work on this. I think that I might fully vector him to improve the quality a bit, and I'm finally starting to compile some ideas that might work for the background. If I can get it to work, look for this piece because it should be pretty good."View

"I finally got the stock to a pretty good point, at least for now, but I've spent hours trying to come up with a background for this thing without much success. I've tried numerous ideas, and nothing seems to fit. I'll show you the base that I'm working from, and one background idea that I came up with that I liked better than any of the others... However, I still don't really like this background either... Anyway, any help and or advice that any of you might have to offer on what directions might work well, or on just critiquing what I have is greatly appreciated.http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39/jaraiya2884/gojyowall2.jpg

Rather Late...

"Yeah, I joined a while ago, but just recently started posting on the forums... As you can probably tell, since I'm here, I like designing graphics. I usually make signatures for people on forums, but I'd like to start making some walls which is why I'm here. I'm a paid English tutor for a college in So Cal and a full time college student studying Astrophysics, so I don't get too much time to design things anymore.I like simple walls for the most part, but I've been known to like the occasional grungy, gritty, or techy wall... Maybe even a natury wall... (I know... no such word as natury, but I wanted to keep the theme going...)
Anyway, check out my stuff, I've gotten a few walls accepted, and I'd love to see your comments and opinions. ^_^"

"It's pretty simple, perhaps a bit too simple. Also a general rule of thumb, is that those lighting options don't really work very well in designing stuff, unless they are just a step in a process... Also, you need to work on your extraction of the image, it's pretty gritty..."View
First wallpaper here on AP.... thoughts please?
2 years 2 weeks ago
"Definately work on the extraction. I also think that it's too monotone and could use a little more depth. One last thing is that the girl in the upper left just appears to be floating there and doesn't really fit well with the rest of the wall..."View
Wall rejected, I need your advices
2 years 2 weeks ago
"Those just look like abberations in the drawing of the image, not in the extraction. They may look a little weird, but sometimes artists don't have perfectly smooth lines. If you really don't like em, just erase the little bumps and smooth it out yourself. Either way it doesn't really matter, it looks fine."View

"I joined a little while ago, and submitted my first wall yesterday... I haven't really checked out the forums, but I think that I may start too. Anyway, it's nice to meet all of ya, and I guess I'll be seeing you around."View
