Why people says "Anime is for only children"?

"Oh, that's a very common prejudice. It's true that people aren't very interested in anime here in Romania - a lot of my friends don't know the difference between anime and cartoons. Maybe people think that everything 2-D is a cartoon, because cartoons are shown more often than anime (again, speaking from the point of view of my country, I don't know about others).
It's wrong to think so. After all, anyone who has watched the new Hellsing OVA can't say it's exactly for children! Violence, blood and the likes are present in anime too. Even some cartoons present it.
However, cartoons belong to one type of culture, anime to another. It is wrong to mix them."

"I think so. Depends on the genre of that anime.
For example, after I watched Sailor Moon and Kaleido Star, I felt so happy that my friends were wondering what was wrong with me! I was laughing all the time!
Then, when I watched Hellsing and Vampire Hunted D: Bloodlust, I started talking about how great and amazing vampires are XD So I started freaking out my friends again!
In the end, I think anime influences my mood!"

Cheating In Your Exams

"When I had to take my high school entrance exam (almost a year ago), I could very well cheat. The ones who were supposed to see to us weren't preoccupied by us at all. And since I was in the back of the classroom, there would have been no obstacle in my way to cheating.

But in the end I didn't cheat, because I didn't need to. Luckily there were some pretty easy subjects! There was, however, a person behind me who kept asking me the answers to the questions. So I turned slightly, said "go to Hell", and he left me alone :)

I cheated on a lot of tests, and one time I got caught too, but luckily the teacher didn't give me a 1/10 (that's the grade you get when you're caught cheating). Now I guess I've "perfected" my methods XD Plus at some tests you don't feel like learning at all. Although cheating isn't the best answer, it sure is a quicker way to get things done! Risky one too!"

Why do people just have to tell evryone that they hate dubs?

"I have seen a few anime series that look pretty bad dubbed in English, like Kaleido Star, Tokyo Mew Mew or Trigun (naturally, I watched the Japanese version too, for comparison).
There is a mistake that people generally make, and that is thinking that is one anime sounds bad dubbed, in their opinion, all the anime series that are dubbed in English are bad, which is not true.
For example, Hellsing and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust can point out successfully that dubbing can be good if it is done right.
I don't agree that all dubs are bad. Some are and some aren't, that's all."

"I suggest you make the foreground lighter, since it is relatively hard to distinguish the character from the background (I had to fix the brightness of my monitor to see).
Second, you might try fading the fireworks effect a bit, or adding a little noise to them, because they look too "plastic".
For the sky, you can create a simple star background, like so:
- create a new layer, filled with black (any size)
- go to Filter -> Noise -> Add Noise, and add these settings: Amount: 20, Distribution: Gaussian, Monochromatic
- duplicate the layer and set the blending mode to Overlay
- merge the layers

"I can't say I believe that dreams can foretell the future. I think of it as something that has to do with your subconscious (hope I spelled right). I believe that during the night, when you dream, you dream of things you think you isolated completely from your conscious thoughts.
For example, you might be worried about not succeeding in something, but you don't worry about it "consciously". Instead, you dream about it at night, and when you wake up, you're sure it's going to happen right as you dreamed it would. Sometimes, you're so eager to see it happen that you even contribute to it.
Don't know if this makes any sense, but that's the way I see it. Plus that when you're dreaming, you relieve the pressure of the day!"

What do you HATE the most about anime?

"What better cliche to mention than the all-known magical-girl-who-saves-the-world plot? It's mentioned in a lot of anime series, especially Sailor Moon (the whole show is based on that!), and you know the good side will win, no matter what happens.

Another one would be the way magical girls dress/are portrayed. They usually have a transformation sequence of about 2 minutes (shown entirely each time they transform into their alter ego or something), with (usually) annoying music. A part of a magical girl's costume must not overlook crucial elements for the fight against evil: cute puffy feathers, ribbons, pink stuff, pendants, staffs etc. (though how cute puffy feathers defeat evil is beyond me).

That's the thing that annoys me most."

"I don't smoke, and I don't plan to either. Aside from the effect it has on your health, it's also annoying for others who have to breathe that air. Not many people smoke around me. My father used to, but now he has lung problems due to it and had to stop smoking. So I'm not going to be in the same situation ^_^;"

"I hate it when I'm reading a book, and I get to a climatic part, and someone interrupts me just to ask me something unimportant >.< When I get back to reading, I usually have to read the last paragraphs again, because I don't remember everything.
The same goes for movies. When there's a climatic moment, they usually interrupt the movie and show commercials >.< Once I actually started cursing the television set and my mom was looking at me weirdly ^^;"

Embarassing Moments

"I got an embarassing moment which happened during 8th grade. One day, everyone in my class had agreed to attend the first class, leave for the next 3 ones, and come back for the rest. Of course, me and my best friend went to her house and we watched some movies, and then left for school. When we were almost there, we ran into the headteacher with who we were supposed to have the 4th class oO; It was pretty embarassing, considering the fact that she knew everyone had left. But she just told us to go home and didn't tell our parents about it, which was something great (she was not that kind ^^;;)

Another funny/ironic/embarassing thing happened also during 8th grade. Me, my friend and her boyfriend were sitting on the border of the sidewalk, under a tree, and talking (it was near summer, so it was pretty warm and nice outside). Suddenly, an old woman comes up to us and starts asking us some questions on religion (by the way, all 3 of us are Christians). She was from a separate Church, I think, so me and my friend didn't accept the fliers she wanted to give us. The woman then went to my friend's boyfriend and asked him "Do you want to hear about this, the two girls REJECTED Jesus!" >.< He said he was Jewish, but the woman didn't leave him alone at first, and kept telling him about hr cult. This went on for quite some time, until another one of my classmates came and phoned him, thus putting a stop to the talking ^^; I think she talked to him for over half an hou oO;"

"I'd say about 5 hours a day. After I get home from school, I relax "a bit" in front of the computer, maybe play some games or make some graphics. I also chat about 2 hours a day. I guess that's about it, I sometimes search Wikipedia for random stuff and read them too ^^;"

Have you ever been made fun of for liking anime?

"Hmm, aside from my desktop containing anime wallpapers all the time, my parents don't really know I watch anime and such. Not talking about other relatives, since I don't have such a close relationship with any of them.
My friends don't really know what anime is about, but they tolerate me when I go crazy over one series and can't stop talking about it. I even corrupted a friend into watching anime ^_^ Anyway, I don't tell too many people that I like anime, and not because I would be scared, but to avoid conflicts.

Racism is one of the greatest problems of the world, and as long as it exists there will always be a gap between people. I strongly disagree with it, and with get into an argument with anyone who says a joke like that one. I once got into an argument with my father on this subject, since I think I'm the only one who's really open-minded in my family."
