After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

manga versus anime

1 year 9 months ago

"Ahh, the ageless question on which form should be experienced first. It's just like the Movie vs Book quandary all of those potter fans face. I'd say with 100% certainty that there's two right answers to the question of "which to see first". While both forms do depend heavily on visual aspects, you usually get more of the story from the manga than from the anime. So if you're in it for the completeness of the story, better hit the manga first, then throw in some visual stunningness when you get around to the anime. If you only need the gist of the story and don't need to hang on every side story and inserted pun, you'll probably watch the anime first. One other point you might want to hinge the decision on is the ending. Typically animes will try to hook into a "happier" ending than their manga counterpart... who knows why. If those little things bother you, go ahead and watch the anime ending and let the manga dissapoint you on down the line."

Taking things Apart and Putting them back together (for scans)

"I've got a couple of books that my girlfriend brought back from china. Some interesting "japanime"-esque art pages are included in both of them. I'd really like to scan them for sharing purposes here on AP, but I'm a little hesitant as far as taking the pages out and then having to put them back in. Can someone give me a little encouragement as to how hard or easy it is to do? Just need some opinions before I make the decision of starting the project."

What are they waiting...

1 year 9 months ago

"I think everyone has pretty well hit on the point here, but it's pretty much how any Japanese originating "like" storyline will go. If any characters end up "hooking up" it will happen at the end of the story, that or they'll leave you still wondering about who ends up with who. Typically anime fans actually like it this way because once two characters get together the magic is over in a way."

Hard to feel sorry for Yoshida...

1 year 9 months ago

"Is it just me, or is it getting harder and harder to feel sorry for Yoshida-san? She keeps on complaining that there is nothing she can do to help Yuji, but Margery's boys are in the same boat. Besides, just letting Yuji know that he has support should be enough help in and of itself. I never really cared for her character before, but the constant 'Woe is me" has got to stop. Hopefully the item gifted her in the recent episode will get her out of her mopey mood. "
