You certainly will find quite a few wallpapers from those anime, they are extremely popular here too!

To find good walls from or to find a particular submitter you like and would like to follow, I would suggest looking through the gallery of the anime, and see what style you like, everyone is probably a little different!

My First Wall

"Well, this is my first wallpaper that I am trying here. There are lots of problems with it, I am posting it now to see if the concept is good, and hopefully get some additional feedback. I have worked on it before, but took a somewhat long break to learn how to vector (not that that has been employed here at all :) Please give me your thoughts and comments.

Here is the wall.

This is what I am thinking:

To grainy at the light source above the symbol for Ikki's Air Trek group

Ikki (the main guy there) is a bit -too- much in shadow, should stand out more

Also, the symbol isn't meshing very well with the brick wall, perhaps I should completly redo that? maybe with a spray paint brush?

Whats y'alls thoughts?

edit: I have been paying attention! I am going to try to get a brick pic with graffiti, see what I can do with that, I have just been so busy with work/school I haven't had time to paper >_< Soon!

edit #2: I think I am a bit to much of a perfectionist, I forced myself to put this one up, because I was stuck, and now I just can't seem to get happy with it. I will post a new version soon!"

"Well, its a good wall, certainly. Way better already than some that I have seen :) Here are my thoughts, for whatever they are worth.

1. Differentiate between him and his shadow

2. Blending could be done throughout the wall, so that each part doesn't feel like an alien separate element. Consider leafs? dots? as tying it together

3. My pet peeve is typography, my suggestion to you would be to find some other fonts, perhaps on deviant art . com and bring those word closer together, it will make them more menacing if you do.

4. Walls for submission should be signed

These are a few of my thoughts, take them for what they are worth!

The image size is not the best, it is always better to submit with multiple sizes, and the trick to that is to work on the largest size and then create the other sizes.

The clouds and umbrella have some rough edges, working to smooth those out would go a long way.

The legs of your character don't really fit, the coloration seems a bit off, very at odds with the bright parts of the rest her features, which I love the way that they pop out of the otherwise dark theme.

The grass needs some work, I would perhaps consider redoing either the back or front of the grass, it obviously repeats and thus breaks the flow of the image.

Great try, keep going, you have some good instincts!

Quick thoughts though:

The image in the middle looks a little grainy. Try cleaning that up a little bit.

It is very busy. That isn't a deal-breaker, but its hard to focus on any part of the wall.

Kinda small, bigger and more size options are best for submission

You need to sign before you submit :)

My first wallpaper

"I really like the wall over all. This is what I think:

The colors blend well together with the background and the main character, maybe to well, but probably not.

I sort of feel that the cartoony background image is a good contrast to the detail in the foreground image.

If you are considering posting, I would strongly recommend not only a larger size (1024 is really small these days), but a widescreen version or two. Maybe you already have that covered, but a submission in multiple sizes is always appreciated.

Maybe for the sake of balance in the image I would say that I might consider moving the title text up and to the left a little, but that is simply my opinion.

I sure am glad you decided to show up! I would read the FAQ, it explains the paper system pretty well, basically, you can download wallpaper at a limited rate just because you joined, but to access the scans (and a few other things) you have to earn paper by being active in the forums, commenting on others walls, or submitting walls yourself. My opinion is that it is a good system that rewards folks for contributing to the community!

My only thought, and of course you can totally disregard this, is that there is not much red and lots and lots of yellow. Maybe work some more red in in place of some of the yellow in the back? Anyway, I tried something totally different for the space next to Ikki, the logo for his Air Trek team on brick. I think that the image is more compelling this way, what are thoughts out there?

It is obviously grainy, I think I may be able to correct this before the final version, but for now, I am looking for any input!!

"What a fantastic site this is! The more time that I spend here, the better I like it! I have always been a HUGE anime fan, and read the occasional manga, but I have always been a little leery of joining any particular communities, for all the same reasons that I am sure you have. I love the system here though, which rewards those who contribute, and makes really cool stuff available to them. The process works, never on any other site have I seen so many -quality- wallpapers! "1. Absolutely get rid of the obvious filter.

2. I would question if any text is really needed at all, I prefer to let the image speak for itself.

3. If you go for higher resolution (please do) then consider a widescreen res, it can make your image more dynamic if cropped correctly (and your image needs something a little more dynamic)

4. This is my personal opinion, but I think that those rose colored buttons clash horribly with the color theme you seem to be going for. If possible, reconsider.

Well, those are just my thoughts, take them at face value, and don't worry. I can see some of the mistakes that I used to make when I first started walling (not that I am great now)
