After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

"Well.. I think the KH games couldn't exist without Disney characters. It'd otherwise just be a real time FF game, and though I love the FF series, this kinda defeats its purpose as actually being a good Disney-associated original material game. Plus, the fact that the Kingdom Hearts games don't entirely revolve around FF characters make their appearances all the more surprising and worth it.

So yeah. I think the balance is fine, or if anything, at least it's unique. I enjoy seeing Disney and Square collide... the concept was weird before I played the games and it's weird again after thinking about it."

"Xenosaga. Mainly because I bought it, never got around to playing it, then loaned it to someone from school. Now I'm out of high school and looking back at my games I realized I not only forgot that I owned the game, but forgot who I gave it to xD"

"Ohh.. I forgot about Kingdom Hearts II. I've basically been at the end of the game for months lol.. then school started and I decided to save finishing the game for the right spontaneous moment. Haha.

I watched it and thought it was great. I was disappointed by the ending and there being no actual fights. I hope that the anime will move a little faster than the manga did at the beginning but I can't wait to see Sakura kick ass in full motion.

Disipointing animes

Oh come on people, FMA was an amazing anime series. Even if the manga is superior or not, I love the series.

Inuyasha is just plain overrated so I'm going to skip over that one.

Now Trinity Blood was the biggest dissapointment ever. I had heard people say good things about the series so I decided to give it a shot, oh dear god. It started off promising, my interest was held until we got into the teens when the series went downhill. Hint to anime companies, never make a series when the creator died before he could finish writing it. Worst ending ever.


FMA: You're damn right the series is amazing! It's absolutely one of my favorites... I wish I did follow the manga though, I didn't know it was still going on.

InuYasha: After years of watching random eps on TV and never knowing what was going on, I decided to download the first 30 episodes only like... last week. I liked them a lot, but I guess the show could get dull after a while, being that the anime already ended and most people say that a lot of InuYasha's probs haven't been resolved. I want to get started on the manga. Maybe one day InuYasha will pick a girl ~_~.

Fansub Morality

A few things about fansubbing.

1) Without it I would have never discoverd the wonderful world of anime.
2) Fansub quality is better.
3) DVDs are way too expensive
4) I never commit to buying any DVD especially a series of them without having seen at least some of the show before-hand.

That said I do sometimes buy DVD copies of series I really enjoy if for no other reason than to support the artist and help move the industry forward in America otherwise the we limit our entertainment options but do I feel moral responsibility to purchase every series I've seen subbed....NO.



I agree with you completely. And anime DVDs in America are DEFINITELY ridiculously priced, I guess I should have said I only wind up buying my absolute favorite shows.

Casepoint: My cousin (a non-anime watcher) is actually the one who buys me a lot of the anime I own, whether as gifts for Christmas or my birthday. FLCL DVDs run on Amazon for $25 (and that's only two eps. per DVD!!). He got one custom made to have all 6 eps. on one disc for me (I know, albeit probably still illegal for all I know, unless he ordered it from Japan). He probably saved lots of cash, and this was way back when the DVDs were still priced at around $30+. Last Christmas he bought me the actual Amazon 3-disc Bebop set... that must have set him back a lot. And he still doesn't understand why I ask for anime when its such an "expensive taste" haha.

Little does he know I watch shows first through fansubbing, then wind up buying/hoping for DVDs of shows I like."

"I feel obligated to buy anime legally after having seen it through free downloading... but it may just be because I like owning hard copies, real DVDs/merchandise. And I have no problem buying DVDs here in the US because the Japanese tracks are usually a sound option, along with english subtitles. Not to mention that all editing done for television is usually left out for the DVDs."

InuYasha Episodes

"Soo.. I only recently have gotten into InuYasha. I normally like my anime subbed, but since I've been watching random episodes on [Adult Swim] for the past couple of years, I'm pretty used to the show in English.

I was wondering if anyone knew about any websites where I can probably get the first 100 episodes or so in English (I know the last 50 might be hard to find because they've only recently aired on TV in the US or haven't aired at all). I have Bittorent and know how to use it and everything, I just want some web directories/sources.

I'd be willing to download the show in Japanese if the English sub files really don't exist...
