you should make a village-like place on the bottom right of this wallpaper... and the character you'll put should look like it flying towards the people that are viewing it.

"Yea. i think you should change the background. Put them on ground with some grass. make the scan look kinda bluish to fit the night theme.

this is one of the wallpapers i did long time ago. http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/wallpapers/jrpjnoyako08/item25960/ <--- you should do the same thing that i did here. I made the scan look kinda blue to fit the blue background. i used stock images for the background .. here is a site where you can download awesome images - >> http://www.sxc.hu/category/1273/5

then if you want some stars and shooting stars on the background, then just search for nebula brushes and download them. Theres a lot of cool ones that you will find.

Try putting a moon somewhere in the sky but i recommend you to put it on either the right side or left side. Center would work too but it wouldnt look that nice.



THeres a lot of better textures that you can use for your wallpaper..
texture -- http://clearlypixelated.com/da/resources.php <--webiste where you can download them.. Put it on top of all the layers. click this CTRL + ALT + U. check colorize and change the color to a color that you like. then change the blending option to overlay or soft light .. and change the opacity to 40-70% ..

"I think the number of characters that you put on this wallpaper is fine. It kind of look cool. the only thing that you did wrong with the characters is that you OVER-cleaned them. THat caused some details of the scans to become jagged.
i know you know how to clean the scan but i'm going to tell you how i clean mine.. (with different options)

- the first thing to do is to extract the scan (which you have done already)
- then duplicate it. click the duplicated layer, then go to filters(i think) >noise> median. (set it on 3 or 4)
-then change the blending option of the layer to Soft light or OVerlay
-change the opacity to whatever you want. just dont make it too bright and try to avoid jagginess on the details of the scan.
-(you can see some extra stuff that you dont want on the edges/outlines of the scan right?? )
-then, before merging the duplicated layer and the original layer (this is what you didn't do), hold the CTRL button and click on the original layer.. dont deselect it.. now. click the duplicated layer. then go to select>inverse .. and then click delete.. now you are ready to merge the two layers.

now the grass.. the grass looks weird with everything coz its the most realistic looking piece on the wallpaper. It would look better if it was vectored.. If you dont know how to vector, you'll find a tutorial on it on Deviantart.com

the sky looks fine but some of it kinda look messed up. This part could also be vectored.

"The scan and the background don't really blend well. The background is too clean compare to the scan. You will need to make some textured background for this scan and choose a texture that will fit the texture of the scan of sakura and shaoran.

the moon is too blurry. it kinda hurts my eyes. you should just put them on the ground. and add a dark blue sky with falling stars. then add textures on top of them so it wouldn't look awkward with the scan..

the fontstyle choice isnt great
the background isnt good either
the wallpaper wasnt planned well
sorry if im sounding harsh right now . lol

i would use a better scan. theres a lot of awesome scans in the gallery.. then think about the story of that anime. then try to make a background that relates to the theme of the anime.
for example, you chose a scan from XENOSAGA, it would probably be a good idea to make a universe/planets/sky kinda background.

the fontstyle choice isn't good though

my suggestions:
-remove the text. wallpapers don't really have to have text. but if you really want text on your wallpaper, just pick a better fontstyle.
-change your background. - the background looks fine but it would look better if you have a scene on the background.
-you should make a sunset background. It would really look great with the scan.
-then put tree branches on the left side.. and add some falling leaves

the background looks too simple and too plain right now but once you're done vectoring the scan, the background would blend more with the scan. the fontstyle choice isnt good. I dont know what fontstyle you could use for this wallpaper but try to avoid using fontstyles that look like the font that you are using right now..

"I saw the improvement of this wallpaper.. and you are doing a great job on this. Just need some more work on it.. i like the main concept of this wallpaper. The scene looks nice.

lemme comment on it noww. The newest version looks nice but its a bit too dark.. The forest theme would look better with lights and bright things in it. THat would make the wallpaper look peaceful and will give life to the wallpaper. Im not saying to make to TOO bright. just saying to add some light.

the scan bothers me a little. It doesnt seem to blend well with the background. The colors of the scan and the background are blended well. Its just the quality of the background and the scan that made it look kinda awkward. lets talk about the background now. the sky looks kinda dull. i would be better if it was brighter. the tree is also bothering. i would suggest to just remove it. and replace it with a flower. http://www.sxc.hu/category/1256/4 <--- thats a website where you can find flowers. put it on the side where the tree is right now.. make it bigger.. make the flower face the character. *how to do it*.. pick a flower that interests you on that site. put it on photoshop. extract it.. duplicate the layer. click the duplicated layer and go to *Layers* on the menu bar. go to noise and click media. set it to number 2.. then set it to overlay. lower the opacity jsut a bit then merge the two pictures together. then pick more flowers to put on the bottom and make them small..

the fontstyle and the color arent a good choice for this wallpaper. color white would be a great choice. and pick a simple but elegant fontstyle. try to avoid fancy ones (with curls and stuff like that )..
