This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

" thanks everyone for your support! I'm so sorry, i havent worked on the wall at all... my computer had a virus, and for the past 2 days I've been trying to get rid of it before it completely killed my files. and luckily, its gone now...but I havent really had time to start re-vectoring. Although, i did get photoshop, so now I will start to use it. (thanks again, Tida, for the tutorial) so I'll work on it all I can and upload it once its finished! thank you all for waiting!EDIT: even with the tutorial, I cannot for the life of me vector this in photoshop. I've worked really hard to make this wall, and its be really sad to just throw it all away now. IF anyone could please, please help me, Im would be very, very grateful. "

" Thanks angel voice. and you arent being to harsh. My real problem is my lack of program. The program I use for vectoring, inkscape, is in its version .45, and its a very good program, but there arent any tutorials for anime vectoring for it, and it's complicated, because everything is done in commands. I color in photshop elements, when has no vector control at all...
The bright side is, though, my older sister has photoshop, which she may let me borrow. untill then, I can use a free trail :D I was pretty dumb to not use it thus far, i guess i thought I could pull it off with inkscape but I'm not that good with it yet...
Well, sorry about all this delay, with the pointers from everyone, I shall once again give this vector another shot. I'll post it when I'm done -(^-^)- thanks!"

" Ok, I took everyones advice and tried to smoothen out the vector. I know its been two days and I really haven't got much done! sorry about that. I've been really busy the past couple of days, shopping for last minute Christmas gifts and all. well, anyway, here is the 2nd uncolored vector of this topic...(direct link: http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5715/yugivectorimproved2ij1.png )
so I know its worth coloring, a little more critique would be nice -(~-~)- Thank you all for your help and support so far, without it I'd probably be quite lost."

"Thanks!I really dont know how to make the lines smooth..I've really tried, I just cant figure it out!
I'm sorry, but could I have an example or two, please? thank you!
Yes, I did. thanks for the suggestion!
Do you all think I should redo the vector once more? start over with making sure I use the right type of lines and one that aren't jagged, and/or, simply download a trial of photoshop and use it, for it is probably a much better tool than what I am using.
Thanks again for all your help."

" Thanks, Nizsu. yeah, its really hard going from program to program, but I do it alot XD I do regular art, too, so a lot of the time I'm jumping back and forth between programs, for some can do some effects and other can do other things... XD I'm just glad I have enough RAM...(oh, and of course right when I say that, windows starts saying my memory is too low...)Anyway, I found the pen tool in inkscape, and although its more time consuming than the freehand tool, its really working very well. you cant really get weighted lines with it like I've seen with photoshop, but the lines are smooth and look so nice
thank you all so much for your help

" thank you, angel voice! the problem is, I'm using elements, and it doesnt have a pen tool. (sorry I forgot to mention that!) but, I think that inkscape has a very similar pen tool, so that might work. I used the freehand tool for the lines on this wall...because the pen toll was confusing XDanyway, I cleaned up the vector, and made the text a bit more visible. Heres the improved version!

problem is the lines are still not very sharp and are quite jagged^^;"

" My first attempt at making a wallpaper...I'm not sure if it will get rejected or not, and I thought I read in the rules that if your wall is rejected they take away 1,000 papers! So, I'm hoping I came the right thread for suggestions. The anime is, dont laph, yugioh. although, it is season zero, also known as the shadow games, not the series that 4-kids ruined and that everyone hates so badly. D: so please, dont comment on how yu-gi-oh's for kids. thanks :D
Oh, and the referance was a screen of the show, but it was such low quality i couldnt fix it up and I dicided to vector.
I did two different versions, one with Yami in the background and one without him.
With Yami:

Without Yami:
http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/3766/yugiohshadowgameswallpakd6.png
I worked very hard, I hope theres nothing really wrong with it! thank you!
EDIT: new and improved version! I cleaned it up a bit, so its much less messy now!

is it legal to download anime?
1 year 1 month ago
" Yes. Verry illigal. Downloading it means you are downloading something that is copywrighted. just because its a simple as a click doesnt mean that it is nessicairy legal. The people who make the animes do deserve to be paid. They work hard on their work, and buying that DVD at the store means most of the procedes go to them. Other money goes to the Aulstrailan licance holder for the anime, the DVD store, ect. Even if you have to save up to buy it, its allways a wonderfull feeling knowing you own it, and that little concince isnt yelling at you as you watch your anime.
If you dont like disks, ho-hum, then theyre are some places, i beleave, you can legaly download anime. Of course, I've only heard of them being in japan and having limited anime (like the really popular stuff. Gundam, Naruto, ect.). and I dunno if you can download them without a japanese computer and credit card XD
you can allways go bargin hunting on ebay or Amazon if your okay with buying used items, because those 'r a heck 'ovva lot cheaper.
My, that was a long rant o.o'"

Anime Characters That are Similar But are From Different Series
1 year 1 month ago
"I hope no one has said this yet..but...Edward Elric: Full Metal Alchemist
Vash the Stampede: Trigun.
personality wise they are probably opposites, but..:
1.They both have long, long red coats
2.They both have metal arms
3.They are both blonds.
4.They both have very weird hairdos for guys o//.//o
so they're appearances are both really, really similar. and they both have brothers! but Ed's is a sweet heart and Vashe's brother Knives wants to kill us all o.o but then again, with a name like "Knives" he just sounds like a lethal guy o.o"

If you could live in an anime would you?
1 year 1 month ago
" XD come now, in a lot of animes its more or less like torture for the main character so the story has tension. quite sad. Of course, how I'd love to be Kino in Kino's Adventures, I dont really want to leave everything behind just yet! I like drawing and wrighting the stuff much better than living it XDAnd I really dont want to be in a Shonen, I'd probaly die by gaint Mecha's in a matter of minutes."
