After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Subs or Dubs?

"I tried watching a dub once for the benefit of a girlfriend cause I'm so damn nice; about two minutes in I knew I wouldn't be able to stand it much longer but I tried to suffer through but after another two minutes or so It was just too much to handle, so I told her to read the subs or don't watch. I've never attempted to watch a dub again, my god the voices are horrible, and the jokes really lose their punch.

Oh BTW that was Azumanga Daioh I tried to watch. I really don't even notice that I'm reading subs when I watch."

man Azumanga is damn funny but what about Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu that is one of the funniest animes that I have seen. every epsiode makes you die form laughing. also some good ones on my list

"It's been quite a while now since I watched Elfen Lied but once you get past the gore of the first episode I seem to remember the show sort of settling into a groove and really getting good. Maybe I was just desensitized by the first episode or something but overall the show doesn't seem that brutal to me.

I watched Elfen Lied and Gunslinger Girl both at the same time. It was one of my most enjoyable anime watching periods bar none. If you haven't seen it yet you should get it right away. "

Hmmm...not sure exactly what you mean, but the pace and type of humor does seem to be a bit different. And the very last episode is probably one of the most wrong things I have ever watched (the episode that parodies hentai) LMAO. That one episode is in a world all by itself compared to the rest of the series.




I'm basically saying the same thing you just said, the show is fairly consistant and funny but a couple of the eps. went off the deepend as far as out of place oddity is concerned. "

Hate to say it but I've never seen Ranma :S Where would you suggest I start? There seems to be a ton of stuff for that show.

While Azumanga definately on the top of my list for downright hillarious...I think I love Jungle Wa Itsumo Hare Nochi Guu (the Jungle was nice, then came Guu) just a tad bit better. Not only was it crazy...but the subtle parodies of other anime they through in there cracked me up for days. The sequels to the original series aren't nearly as good as the first tv series though.

Oh, and you can't forget an old school favorite like GOLDEN BOY!

Excel Saga was good too...but Azumanga beats it in consistency (some eps weren't all that funny).


I agree with your picks but damn is Golden Boy waaaaaay too short. Another one that I think is pretty damn funny although I doubt others will agree is Girls Bravo. Love Hina always made me laugh too.

I just wish there where more shows like Azumanga Daioh, sadly I haven't found any.

Edit* The scene where Osaka is talking about the difference between Escalators and Elevators with Chiyu Chan is one of the funniest things I've ever seen anime or otherwise. :)"

Personally Azumanga Daioh was the funniest anime I've ever seen from beginning to end Osaka killed me everytime she was in a shot, this show was perfect.

"Well VIZ has licensed Bleach and soon enough it will be airing all over the world, I honestly believe it will own everything that's currently on. So I'd say Bleach is the #1; if not now then definitely a year from now."

I first joined here back in September or October to learn a bit about what Anime others were into, and hopefully to get people interested in a custom cover community. Well the covers weren't terribly well recieved so I have decided to keep them within the confines of my normal DVD cover community.
