myangelnoli, Hmmm... sex is rather interesting... You see, reproduction IS necessary, therefore, our whole existence seems to be geared toward reproducing, other than surviving, of course. So, why is sex good? Well, to a certain extent, it's because reproduction is necessary, and to reproduce, you need to have sex. And to lure people to have sex, nature makes it feel good, so that you would want to do it more. In turn, this will kick up the chance that someone will get knocked up and reproduce. So, is sex necessary? Well, to the species in general, yes, because reproduction is good for the species' survival. To your own survival? No, not really, but so is clothing, not really necessary for survival... (I know I know, stretch comparison...)

And, now, on to the women being sex-object, etc in porn. You know, this topic is always interesting. Now, before you all roast me, I am a feminist, I work, I am working on an advance degree, I am a project manager/programmer, so, yeah, I got my share of male world. Let's observe. How much of porn that we watch are real rape scene? Hmmm... that's right, virtually nil. Now, it follows that the women in said porn all understand what they are doing, and subsequently, are willing to appear in said video. Heck, they even get orgasms ;) So, question is, can you say someone is being an object when they are willing to do so? Hmmm... I think in researches, if you have a willing patient, they're called subject. They made the conscious choice to appear, and therefore, they are now subjects.

Is porn degrading toward women? I don't think so either. Now, I am not a porn star, nor do I have the confidence that I look good enough to be one. But think about it, you make one movie, and it got around the internet. And that movie got downloaded billions of time a day. Now, you KNOW that a lot of teenage boys will be devoting their undivided attention to the screen, seeing YOU do what you did, and derive pleasure from it. Well, I do wonder, if you appear in a movie, would you think it's degrading? Think about it. When teenage boys watch movies, they don't get as devoted as if they watch porn. So, I think, it's not degrading, really. It's just what it is. I think it's wonderful that these people have the confidence to appear nude and be immortalised in 35mm film.

I heard it's a sickness. I mean when these kinds of people walk during broad daylight, they'd get a terrible rash. But they won't die from it right away, as exaggerated in those vamp movies.
