"I don't see why the image and the bg color need to "match." Contrast is a good thing, and although it's not an exact contrast, i think it works fairly well with it.I also don't see what's wrong with black text... Is it a rule around here?
I think the black matches the black lines and outlines of the image anyway...
I do agree w/ the artifacts problem, tho."

"=\I suggest.. Getting rid of it.. Making a new swirl line that completely goes to the top and bottom and bleeds off the edges like it should, then add sparkles in again.
Or go back to what you had (if you can) and resize it up just a bit to make it bleed off the top and bottom. It shouldn't blur as much as it did, i think you blurred it rather than resize.
Cuz now it looks all busy with the sparkles on top of the blurred sparkles... and the line still has corners/edges. It doesn't bleed off the paper the way it should.

"Compared to the start - I personally love the changes to the background, and you brightened her up really well.To repeat what a few people have said:
There's a small part of her hair you still need to extract (white space inbetween) top left.
The swirl w/ sparkles has edges at the top and bottom - the quickest fix, i think, would be to stretch or enlarge it past the edges of the paper.
Something I just realized bothered me was that the whole thing has a thick border, except for the small space inbetween the "killstick" and her hand.. the lower one.. You might want to put a thick border there to mimic the rest of the image, keep it conistant."

"My suggestions:The right side looks too empty with the text on the left. I would recommend moving the girl more to the right and centering the text in the remaining space.
Or moving the text elsewhere.. Maybe make it more like a scrapbook. Make the "picture" a little smaller and do an embelished set of text, like a caption... or something... Those scrapbooking people get crazy/fun with it sometimes and I honestly think that it already has that 'scrap' quality. ^^
Lots of potential.

"I just want to say: The font is perfect.I love it.
I honestly didn't see all the problems everyone else did when I looked at it, but I didn't even think to look that closely. =\ After reading other comments - yah i guess it does need some more cleaning...
But I love it and whatever you do to it, don't change the font used on 'phe34r..' or her location on the screen.
I think the font color could be changed, and possibly the text moved (though the location doesn't bother me) but the color blends too much with the pants as it is."

"I actually like the background, but then I tend to like simple things and that's what people seem to keep saying about it.My biggest suggestion would be to move the girl to the right.
Dead center is dead boring.
Not ALL the way to the right, but maybe halfway from where she's at now.
And maybe down a little bit too.. just a little.
Other than that, I think everyone else can, did or will cover anything with the scan."
