"I am an avid fan of Love Hina, but not of the anime series. the animation isn't so great and the character designs are just plain horrible. I have not seen Advent Children nor have i ever played the game for more than an hour, but i'm gonna go with FF7."

"Ah, flcl. its great, what can i say. Most stuff by gainax is just great and flcl is no exception. I've seen the series about 7 times. dubbed, subbed, and with directors commentary. it really makes much more sense if you watch it with directors commentary... and for people who say it doesn't make any sense, it really does. there used to be this site that had "flcl explained", and well, as the title suggests, it explains why everything happened and what it is. very helpful.

"I get the subs as soon as they come out. i love this series. i love the character development. So it'll be no surprise that Takemoto is my favorite character. Though, i didn't like it when they changed the ED from Waltz. yeah. it is funny and really cute. i'm just a sucker for these types."

Why the mangas are different from the animation ?

I really HATE that because I watched some perfect anime then I read their mangas

opposite for me for Love Hina. The manga was beautiful, but the anime was craptastic. Why? its becuase the manga-ka's aren't the ones who make the anime. They barely do anything with the anime at all. When the people go to make the anime, the same character can be drawn by many different people so it would most likely not have the same feel as original (for me at least). They use the manga as a basis for what they are creating. ALMOST ALWAYS, the manga came first... someone correct me if i'm wrong.

so in short, the anime is a retelling of the manga. the anime may have extra parts or something entirely different becuase 1) the funds 2) The Manga-ka did not have a say in the matter or they didn't care about the anime. Example: Sakigake Cromartie High"
