"Hello everyone.
i joined AP about a month ago and went straight to the wallpaper making. since i skipped doing my intro, i thought i might as well do it now.
so... a little bit about me:
i'm a Canadian, a struggling student in university, a female and a pretty "unique" individual (unique can be a very subjective word; that's why i'm using it here ^^).
i like all sorts of anime, but right now i'm really into Fullmetal Alchemist. i can't afford to rent or buy it so right now i'm watching it on tv since we finally got it on YTV here and i'm loving it! i like it so much that i may even save up to buy the series when all of the DVDs are out (no free downloading for this series).
well anyways, animepaper seems like a great site so far and i'm looking forward to meeting some new people :) "

To be blunt, when used in a non pronigraphic way its well... beautiful. In the sense of it being one the strongest of of displays of emotion. Besides you see everything else a couple might do in a movie, eat, sleep, talk & have fun, sex is just another act in that sense and shouldn't be an issue.

I think the reason their is an issue among younger people is because they are so guraded against sex and all things related and its so forbidden that when it beheld it comes as a shock, it really shouldn't.

i agree with you. sex is beautiful, when done between a man and a woman who are married (call me old fashioned if you must). but the thing is, in a lot of movies, a couple has sex literally hours after they meet. i know that hollywood time is pretty fast compared to real time, but it's still pretty ridiculous.

i suppose it's all relative, since we're all so different. but i don't see sex scenes as a shock, just as annoying and a waste of time when they could be developing those characters (and also the psychological relationships between those characters for that matter). "

i absolutely LOVE FMA. i hadn't heard much about it for a while (also having just YTV at my disposal for good anime). but since it finally came to Canada in march, i've been watching it religiously and so far, not a single episode has disappointed me. the characters have so much depth, the plot is original and captivating, the animation is great and, well, Ed is just plain cute (you were all thinking it!) ^^'
i've only seen one episode in Japanese, and usually i prefer the original Japanese audio. but in this case, i really like the English dub for this anime - the voices fit the characters so well and they're all great voice actors.

so once again, yes i'm a huge fan of Fullmetal Alchemist!"

sex scenes in movies

"I was just watching a movie the other day and it was pretty entertaining until they got to one of those graphically hollywood sex scenes. it was so unnecessary! it just seemed like a scene that was tacked in there for... whatever reason it is that they put those scenes in movies. it especially makes movie watching uncomfortable when i'm with my mom or dad O_o...
but anyways, what do you think about these scenes? are they really pivotal to the substance of a movie? "

"Well it's been a little while again.
here, i've added some rocks and gave the trees a little glow (as per deku fairy's reccomdation). i left the tree and grass colour as is, because i wanted them to be as similar to the colours in the movie as possible. i also chose a place for the text and fixed up some minor branch problems.

which one do you think is better - the one without sparkles or the one with them?

"It may have seemed obvious to some, but i was pretty surprised that brazil lost to france... i wanted to see them play portugal. but i'm not too disappointed, because i've been rooting for portugal since the beginning and their game was GREAT! i hope they keep up their awesome defenses and they really deserve to win the cup.
so, at the end of the day, all i have left to say is that PORTUGAL LIVES ON!

"Being a Canadian, I have to support some of our home grown bands. Bands such as Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, the Neverending White Lights (and all of the great Canadian artists that are featured in each song on that album), K-OS... the list goes on.
Heck, even if I wasn't Canadian, I would still buy these artists' CDs.

But that's enough outta me.

"I love music; i can't go a day without it. i've got playlists that correspond to the weather, to my mood, to... everything!
right now i'm really into bloc party. i just went to one of their concerts last weekend and it was AMAZING. if you haven't heard them, you should. i think they're coming out with a new album soon too.
