After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Study overseas

"I'd thought about going quite often, through my university's exchange program, but it's not cheap and the last thing I want to do there is scrimp and save every last penny just to barely fill my stomach (they sponsor some of your tuition but not your living allowances -_-)

But it's not a real biggie, I guess I could always wait until I start working and look for overseas opportunities =)"

"Used to love it, then went through a phase in high school where I absolutely hated it - must have had something to do with it being all formulas, at least that was the way my teacher taught me... then in pre-U I had a tutor who loved the subject, and it reignited my interest, I guess. Now I'm starting to see some of the beauty in the logic it uses; you're better off liking it than hating it anyway, since it's so hard to escape it ^_^"

"I used to hang out with people so much that I actually got sick of them (or maybe it was the other way round, LOL); nothing to do with them - I'm quite an introvert, but sometimes the social pressure to hang out is so great that I stay too long and end up just wanting to get away for some alone time.

That was years ago though; now I think I've learned a little better to respect people's schedules, and more importantly respect my own schedule =) If they don't want to/can't meet up, they must have reasons - do you trust them enough to believe that the reason has nothing to do with him/her being sick of your group? I think friends would allow each other at least that much."

Vista Vs. XP

"I'm going to need more compelling reasons than Aero, RAMBoost and new features to make me shell out dough for Vista. I don't like the new start menu, and some of the new features. I hardly if ever use indexing - no desktop search for me, thank you very much. And there's still much to be desired from Vista's stability. Perhaps once it reaches SP1, possibly with a price drop...

At the moment XP is still keeping me a happy tablet user, though I do have side affairs with Ubuntu, hehe... Lots of people aren't even close to unlocking half the stuff they can do with XP, and yet are already knocking it off as an old, outdated OS.

With the right freeware/shareware, XP can do lots of stuff Vista boasts, and maybe even some stuff that Vista can't. You can do entire-window transparency, for one. The Vista theme isn't exclusive anymore either, with the Vista transformation pack. My UXTheme.dll-hacked, customised XP does things I never imagined it could, and I'm still finding new features every week. While I don't doubt I'll do the same thing with Vista, XP came with my tablet and there's not much point upgrading when it's still so useable.

XP's shortcut keys are extensive and make life much easier if you know them. Vista doesn't offer much more that XP can't already provide, and IMO is not worth the price (for Vista Business, anyway - the cheaper versions don't come with tablet enhancements), at least for the moment."
