Real life vs Animated

"To me it all depends on the kind of movie. like ya animated ones dont have boundaries but now they have new technology that allows the manipulation of the film to erase the boundaries of life. hmm having action-packed movies all animated would make everything so dull because everyone can like do anything. ya it was said earlier about kungfu shows. you cant just animate that cause then it would lose it's atmosphere that makes it uniquely kungfu. and sometimes there are certain things that cannot be portrayed in animations but can only be felt through humans. mostly i think that the feelings in romance serials are better shown in dramas than animations but that's just my opinion. ok i think a balance between the two is the best."

Which is better: truth or happiness? Why?

"Hmm ok after reading bits here & there, i really want to ask: what makes the truth so hurtful that saddness is inevitable? why does everyone only focus on the unhappiness of the truth? take the cheating example. in the first place why even use that as an example? arent there other examples out there that depict happiness in knowing the truth? ok here's one that i hope for: one day i arrive at school to find out that i aced all my exams. ok that's the truth but is it sad? no! i'd like run 6 rounds around the track if that happened. so my point is that the truth doesnt always hurt. it all depends on the situation.

next point: what if the toal opposite happens? i like totally flunk everything! ok i'll definitely be upset but does that bring total unhappiness? ok from here it all depends on the way you look at it. you could choose to sink into depression etc but i think that's also a form of illusion because you are forcing yourself to only see the worst possible situation. then again you could jump for joy & be totally blind to all the f9s & know without a doubt that your future is certainly ok. both are extreme forms of reactions but both are also illusions. so illusions need not necessarily be happy ones.

ok so let me summarise my view. i believe in ignorance. i also believe in the truth. but what makes the difference is that no matter which side i choose to take, i always try to make the best of everything, be it in truth or in dreams. i believe in happiness. no matter what happens.

"Hmm it seems lots of people hate backstabbers. well they made me mad too. but what i really cant stand is my brother barging into my room & snatching away the tv when im watching it! it's just so irritating! im trying to watch something & he is blind to that. the worst is that he doesnt even want to watch it but just comes because he is "bored"! huh?! huh? what does that mean? ok i dont think i'd call myself an otaku or be acknowledged as one. although i like certain animes & imitate their language, most of the times i just switch back to local slang or chinese because using japanese just doesnt have the same impact. anyway my chinese pronunciations are enough trouble for me & after i say anything in chinese others just burst out laughing so i guess i've got to control it first before i can progress to jap. plus collecting stuff costs way too much money & time =P"

ok after looking through the comments given by tris, i editted it as best as i could. but being the lazy person i am, i sort of left some things unchecked.

changes i made:
1. vectored the main pic
2. removed the bg & used part of the main pic as the bg
3. enlarged the twins a little ( ok i think there maybe some problem here )
4. changed "caught" to all small letters
5. removed the tear ( caused i was too lazy to vector it =P )

ok so how is it now? tris suggested making a flash thing but i dont know how to. any suggestions?"

"I dont mind the violet but that scan is a little too blurry & there are some extraction problems around her right leg. her rollerblade wheels also have lost their outline & are very blur. it's a little noisy in the background ( esp the font area ) & the outline is quite jagged. oh & the other word on her sunglasses isnt clear ( not the "orange" ) hmm if you want, i think it's better if you vector her to make her more focussed but if she was blurred, then maybe just cutting down on the blurring would be enough. the layout of the wall is nice though. sorry if i sounded too harsh or anything. but i was wondering since your sig is for minitokyo, was it accepted there?"

"I suggest you remove the filter on syaoran & his multiple images in the background. ok the focus is syaoran right? ok then i think that the manga conversations etc should be removed as it is quite distracting. ok if you want the text to be unreadable then make it less visible if not remove it cause i dont see any purpose in leaving it there. ya syaoran needs to be extracted better & burned a bit as to me he is too bright & i cant see most of his face & body. and dont make him too transparent as then the background overpowers him. i suggest removing the yellow stain in the bottom right as currently the wall has a majority of blue then some red to highlight his eyes & hair & clothes so the yellow is not that important. sorry to be so harsh on your wall! your idea is very nice. i hope you'll continue to improve it."

My grandparents were also part of this conflict due to the japanese. But I personally have kept an open mind about Japan. To hate and hold grudges is to repeat history, and the point of learning and remembering history is to prevent its repetition. It's not to learn how bad a certain people are, or to point fingers at who is at fault, but to see why it happened, and how it came about so we can see it comming early on. The reason why we learn about these atrocities is to know the consequences of war and conflicts.

i agree with monwren. the point is that all this is in the past. im not saying that we should forget everything & pretend that nothing happened. my opinion the grudges that we hold would only make us full of anger & blind to our faults. besides, everyone hopes to be forgiven & even more so those who are innocent but have to carry the burden of their ancestors' mistaken. i feel that we should give them another chance. just like criminals who have served their sentence. they need another chance to prove that they have changed their ways."

haha im nope i dont really watch korean series. my friend just recommended watching princess hours so i watched & it turned out to be very funny & ya now i like it alot just that i think that the ending was rubbish.

Do you celebrate Christmas?

"Yup we celebrate it by going to church & having a family gathering & eating lots of food! yea then we play games like taidi & mahjong ( even though those games are more for like chinese new year but who cares ) ya we also put up decorations but not a christmas tree this year. we used to put up one but it's become so old now. we also get presents but that's only for the younger kids. the older ones get hongbaos ( red packets )instead cause we dont really play with toys anymore.

now that you mentioned the typhoon, it kinda reminds me of that tsunami a few years back. yea it's really sad & it's all happening around the same area at around the same time. the world's changing alot nowadays & the weather's gone all weird..."

"No anime or manga? well there are always other cartoons & movies on tv. besides that would also mean more time to do other stuff & more money to shop ( not that i bother shopping for anything ) but it would also reduce the chances of me finding this place...wait it would mean that this place wouldnt even exist! wow no anime or manga would create a whole lot of difference in the world."

When do you usually watch your anime?

"Well most of the animes i watch are shown on tv so i dont really have a choice of the time at which i watch them. but prefably i like to watch them during the day so i dont have to stay up late. the animes on tv are shown quite late at night on weekdays & in the mornings & late afternoons on weekends so guess i'll just settle for those timings since im too lazy to go buy animes. but when i do borrow animes from friends, i will watch them during the day & usually other friends come over to watch together as well. ya it's great fun but it also means that we take longer to finish the series."

What's your most favorite anime series?

"Ouran high school host club! very funny & entertaining! ya nothing comes close when it comes to pure dumb humour. mainly it's the characters that make it so enjoyable as they are all such contrasting people who come together to form a club with a true baka as their "king". oh man it is so funny to see them come up with all sorts of weird plans for the happiness of girls ( or so they say ) ya and also very funny to see them like fight secretly for haruhi's attention & tamaki always ending up in the corner.

well if you go for the serious type, gundam seed & gundam seed destiny is great as it deals with alot of issues that also plague our world. ya it uses alot of serious themes like that of freedom & justice which they also use to name the gundams. i find it quite meaningful to watch this anime & it is also very thought provoking especially about the decisions that the characters make. the battle scenes are good too but sometimes they reuse scenes from other episodes which is quite irritating to me.

for action, i'd say saiyuki or getbackers. they both contain a good amout of fight scenes but also manage to include humour ( ok i like humour ) their humour mostly comes in the form of the character's actions or expressions or reactions. ok actually for most animes, humour comes in that form...

ok actually i havent watched alot of animes yet but these are the ones that i like out of the few that i've watch."

"For me its gundam seed. all along i have been watching cartoons on tv so at first i couldnt differentiate between animes & regular cartoons. it was until a friend told me that i began to realise it starting with gundam seed. haha so i guess i've been hooked all along but just didnt know it...ya weird isnt it? credit is also given to ouran high school host club as that also helped me to realise how entertaining animes can be & that there is much much more animes out there than what was shown on tv. ok so i dont really know the first anime that triggered off everything..."

"Dubbed? well i think that gundam seed & gundam seed destiny dubs better than their subs as the dubs are actually more detailed than the subs! unfortunately not all the songs are dubbed & the bad part is that if the song isnt dubbed, only the tune is played & you dont get to hear the jap lyrics but can only read the subs. other than that, the dubs are quite good."

"Inuyasha! haha in my country they are still showing it on tv & i think it's at the third series ( opps not sure though ) well it's quite nice with all the humour & action & a little romance between kagome & inuyasha. but the best couple to me is sango & miroku! those two are so funny! they both like each other but that miroku just cant control himself in front of girls! inuyasha is funny too! but between him & his brother, i like sesshoumaru more because he is so powerful & intelligent & calm. inuyasha is just too rash & hot tempered in my opinion. that's why he needs kagome to control his temper by saying, "sit!" =D"

"Ok the lines in the scan ( near wallpaper - i think that's what you call it ) are too rough & uneven & jagged. you need to vector the scan as right now it is quite bad. if you need a tutorial for vectoring, i suggest going to the resource pool group ( ok im not a member so im not sure if i cant suggest going there... ) erm, im not good at vectoring so ya... ok as mentioned above, it needs a better background. perhaps you could find a more anime-ish cherry blossom bg to suit the wall or just change the whole bg & use cherry blossom flower shapes instead of the whole scenery. the current white font has to be changed as it is blending in too much with the white flowers. good luck with your wall!"
