Ever try watching Anime around other people?

"Well it depends on what kind of anime your watching and what kind of people your around while watching it. I NEVER watch anything remotely Ecchi around other people cause they misunderstand and stuff.
Usually when I'm around people in my major, they just ask "What anime is that?" and be on their way (lots of people watch anime in my major). But when i'm around some other friends they are always like: HENTAI!? and i'm like no. Go away! But meh, i don't care really. I still watch anime wherever :P"

Why do guys prefer long hair on girls or is this an incorrect generalization?

"As a girl, I don't particularly think anything about someone having short or long hair. I just judge by how the hair cut suites the person. Usually when you have a roundish face, its best to keep your hair long, but if you have a pointy face short hair looks amazing.
It really just depends on the person. I also know guys who prefer girls with short hair. :3"

"Like said many times before. ARROGANCE is the biggest NO when trying to find a stable relationship with a girl. As a girl who has encountered this many times, i can tell you its the most annoying and hateful thing in a guy.

You know whats cute though? Bashful boys who approach with precaution and are super polite. Not "fake polite" cause we can smell that a mile away.
Also you know what helps? Having good grades. I'll guarantee it works."

"The truth has always plagued me ^^; white lies are everywhere, they are part of daily conversation. In a way I think some lies are better than the truth since really they're just to protect the people you care about from... well, yourself or themselves. Its complicated, but i guess that's just the way life goes.

I for one sure as hell don't take kindly to anyone criticizing my work XD which is a bad feature in me but yea... I can't handle the truth! :P"

"Well yes the media has a great part in ruining the countries image, but our crappy government is most at fault since most of the things that happen could have been prevented if they weren't in a constant state of power struggles.

Its also true though, that people now a days just find good news boring and bad news to be more exciting to watch... that's why the news is full of only the bad things that happen in the day. Its kinda sad but its true."

"Can't say I have personally found myself in that situation. But It could be possible, since there are a lot of anime characters who have personalities and life experiences we can relate to, and usually when people fall in love its with people they can somehow relate somehow to... so I wouldn't discard the idea that it can happen to someone. I just hope it doesn't happen to me cause that would be kinda heart breaking in more than one way XD"

"Girls like anime just as much as any guy XD There certainly are a lot more guys that watch it since most of the anime out there is aimed at guys. Like the countless ecchi harems and shounen is SUPPOSED to be for guys. (of course I think there are more girls that watch Shounen that guys...).
I don't know a single person (in real life) who likes anime as much as I do or has watched more than me. But I do know more guys who watch anime. I only know a handful of girls :P"

"Haven't read it. I won't be watching the series either, cause I'm never consistent with TV series .__. I always start and never finish... Like I stopped in the middle of Lost Season 2, Stopped in the middle of Heroes Season 2, Stopped midway while watching 24, prison break, & The Tudors... and many others XD

Anyway, the books seem interesting... might give them a read. My friend probably has them... I'll steal them for a while. "

Thankfully I have been lucky enough to have grown in an accepting and open environment. "Well for the upcoming presidential elections in the U.S. I just don't quite understand why anyone would want to vote...? I'm not from the U.S. but as far as what I know about how the elections work there I don't find them very democratic at all.
In my country presidential elections are decided by the peoples popular vote, and the most popular candidate (the one with the most votes) wins. Nothing complicated about that, but it seems that in the U.S. the populations vote doesn't rlly count at all, so why bother?
I don't like the way their president is elected :/ I would be pretty irritated if I was American.
But like I said, I'm not very knowledgeable about that system = _="

"Oh god... yes I have it was so embarrassing but it was more like nervous laughter and I couldn't contain it. ó_o Thankfully I wasn't the only one laughing...
One of my friends mother died from cancer last year, and of course we (some other friends and I) assisted the funeral to give our support. But omg when we got there (cause we arrived all together) we saw so many people crying and looking serious and it was so quiet that we kinda started giggling nervously. I couldn't stop myself I bit my toung so hard! And each time we looked at each others face we would burst out laughing.

"I'm 18 and I just graduated from Highschool, yet I only have 1 friend who is a big OTAKU like me and I met her in 9th grade. I have another friend who likes anime but he's more into video games... and I know a guy who was in my school back in junior high who wasn't an OTAKU back then but this last year he self developed xD dunno how that rlly happened because I only ever see him in parties and on MSN.

I haven't met anyone else that likes anime in these last few years, even though I'm pretty open about my hobby. Every single person I know knows I love anime, even so, no other Otaku's have made their presence known. : /
At least I have my one friend I can discuss anime with, if I didn't It would be so lonely T.T since my other friends just stare and nod when I talk about it XD

"I don't frown upon homosexuality, or Bisexual people.
But I really would not appreciate a homosexual person hitting on me if they clearly know I'm not Gay. I think they are ok people and I don't question who they like or why, everybody has the right to like and do whatever they want.
It just rlly bothers me to have somebody from the same sex hitting on me. Its uncomfortable.
And I say this cause it has happend to me before, and she would not leave me alone... but thats besides the point.
