This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

God Of War 2 GET !
1 year 5 months ago
"I think they did a Good job on GOW2. They took what worked from the first game, dressed it, and added in new bells and whistles for the second installment. Honestly, the first game was so successful, I can't flaw them for sticking pretty close to a formula that worked so well. That being said, this game is just gorgeous compared to its predecessor. I heard that it uses approx 99% of PS2 processing power, so its really pushing the hardware as far as it can go at what is probably the end of the road for ps2 for innovative new games.
I think the length for the game is about right. Similar games like Dirge and DMC can be blown through in less than 10 hours if you really make a bee-line for the end. But, these types of games always offer much in replay value with unlockables so I'm not so concerned about the length aspect. I believe that theres already talk of a God of War 3 (check gamespot.com for info), and wouldn't it be great to see what a GOW game would look like in 1080? "

Okami... yea its great.. BUT!
1 year 10 months ago
"While I can certainly appreciate someone choosing inane mumbling rather than offensively bad voice-acting, I wouldnt have minded no voice at all. Even better would have been an old japanese guy narrating the story to really give it that genuine feel, rather than the incoherent noise.I would even settle for an option on the settings menu for [SPEECH ON/OFF].
It is definately a fun adventure oriented RPG, but I find myself a little more satisfied with VP:Silmeria right now. I would like to come back to okami and finish it..(with the sound off of course =P) "

Okami... yea its great.. BUT!
1 year 10 months ago
"Now I know just about every editorial I've read in the mags these days about Okami shower it with praise for being revolutionary, different, and and overall aristic adventure of a game. While this is all good, there is one major problem with the game, that for me, I just can't seem to get over. The freaking mumbling!
What's up with that? Why couldn't we have at least some nice japanese voice-acting so this way we keep the overall japanese myth/culture theme going, but we don't have to endure what amounts to ... noise. This mumbling is of the Sims sort, where it essentially sounds like listening to someone speak to you from the other side of a wall, but rather its blatant rambling of sounds.
So is it just me, or are there any others who feel that this game, while brilliantly designed, really fails in that respect?"

Which series of Final Fantasy Storyline is the best? Why?
2 years 15 hours ago
"If I had to choose based soley on the story, then I'd have to say Final Fantasy 8. I just think that, as a narrative, this story was most complete and well told. Thay being said, I think FF7 is the best GAME, from a gameplay standpoint. FF-X on the other hand, I felt was probably the most aethestically pleasing one for me. The cut-scenes were well done, and Spira as a world felt so complete and well designed. "View
Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus

"I liked this game, because I just played it for what it is. I didn't try to imagine some retro-FFVII experience, or something that would rival DMC3 in gameplay. Rather, I found the game engaging, with well done cut-scenes, and while mediocre in overall design, a fun game to play. I work full time, so perhaps the experience was a little different for me, as I would play a mission at a time, and I felt that progression of the game wasn't so bogged down. "View
Arcade Classics!

"I remember I was hooked on that T2 game for a while. While I wasn't a huge fan of shooters (though I did play that stupid Lethal Enforcers game lol) it seemed like everyone just HAD to beat T2 for some reason. It was just one of those games. On the flip side, one of the last arcade games i got into was initial D. I had my game card and everything, but then the arcade closed down. "

"The PS3 will need a strong showing from FF franchise, since the first RPG release for PS3 is now canceled. Of course I'm referring to Endless Saga.. So, I'm sure Square will do everything they can to make sure the FF13 doesn't flop."View

"I think the game you are referring to here is Shinobi!. That was another great game I used to play.
If you want to get really old school, then we can take it all the way back to missle command, where you had the ball mouse to move your cursor around the screen and fire missles at incoming rockets.
Of cousre any of the neo-geo games were classics, but I had a neo-geo so I found myself playing those games at home alot.
I admit one game I did like alot was called Off-Road. you had to drive this little truck around these dirt courses and buy nitros and things. That was pretty fun.
I also remember ninja turtles, and it reminds me that the Simpsons had a similar game where you could play as a member of the family, and do these super team up moves lol. "

"I was walking through the mall and I noticed something. Not something that was actually there, but the lack of something.. arcades. It made me kinda reminisce about the old days when a quarter could get you Galaga or Gem Fighter. Some of my favorites were Mortal Combat; Street Fighter 2; Out Run; and of course.. Afterburner! "

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

"Does anyone know where Dawn of Sorrow falls into the lineage of Castlevania? Was Aria of Sorrow before or after that?On a side note:
I don't think the PS2 installments were that bad either. For starters, the games were simply beautiful, even if the gameplay was a bit dicey. By no means were they bad games though, I think that with some tweaks, the next PS2 release for Castlevania will be great.
That being said, I still don't think anything has come close to Symphony of the Night yet... "

"Is the A - ending significantly different than.. say the B - ending. I was just wondering if its worth it to go back and try to get my rating up for the better ending. I woudn't want to waste my time to get the A - ending if it was something frivilous.(I'm specifically trying to be vague so I don't spoil it for people who haven't beat the game yet...)"

MagnaCarta - A great RPG

"I pretty much agree with what others have said. Its a beautiful games, but the battle system and voice-acting leave much to be desired. Although I know that the game was unfortunately made during the time that the Voice-Actors union was on strike, the quality is completely sub-par. "View

"There was a large article in PLAY magazine devoted to the recent spinnings about Square's Final Fantasy future. Rumors abound since the release of the info during E-3 but I think its safe to say that these are a LONG way off, and by long, I mean years in development til maybe Japan first sees it. Don't forget that KH will also have another installment (presumed not confirmed) so their development cycle will have to be pretty split up. The mere fact that we are starting to hear about these titles I feel tells us more than anything else that as games become more complex, they will take longer and longer to develope. I'm definately looking forward to them though. "View

"I have to say the VP for PSP is a great game. I'm only about 1/2 way through it, but between the gameplay and the intergration of platform dungeons and rpg is great. I wonder though what Square is thinking. Won't they have games competing against eachother now. I mean you have Dirge coming out on the 15th, then Slimeria on Sept 26, and then FFXII on the 31st of October.. thats 3 major releases in 3 months... "View
