manga versus anime

"Personally I enjoy the manga first then i will look into the anime later when it comes out to see how well it's doing. However, it's only very recently that i have become like this. I used to enjoy the anime and then would look into the manga at a later date.

The thing that i found i enjoyed more was that i knew the manga was the more accurate version of the story. I like how in the manga you get the story as it is really unedited. Whereas it's in the anime that the creators tend to change wee things to their liking. Also with manga you don't get the stupid fillers and finally the manga gives you more information on the characters in general."

Do you laugh alone in the street?

"Yeh I laugh to myself at times. I don't really care if there is something i don't care what others think and i work along those lines as well.

There was one occassion however that does stick in my mind. I was walking home after getting out from the train station when a track comes up on my music and you know, it brings back some memories of some funny times with my friends. I start laughing to myself, quietly, and have a grin on my face. Next thing i know this lady steps in my way and it turns out she had been trying to get my attention to ask me some question (i don't know something like maybe asking for directions or something) when i had been laughing to myself and she actually had thought i had been laughing at her. I was a bit surprised cause i hadn't even noticed this person. It does make you think how it must have looked when you see a person laughing on their own and you want to ask this person something.

Ach well it's a good thing it doesn't bother me. "

"I've just watched the first episode of this anime and i must say that it looks like it holds a lot of promise in it. I like the idea behind the concept and can't wait to see how this storyline progresses. Also the artwork for this is something different from anything else that involves Shinigami and such.

Definately will be watching some more of this anime."

"Hey don't worry about it. When i started with anime and manga it was my friend who provided me with stuff to watch initially. I even got stuff that was a couple of years old and still enjoyed it.

"To be honest it's really hard to get me angry. I don't know it's something in my nature that just shrugs most things off easily.

That is most things. There have been a few times when a friend of mine has put me into a black mood. At that point i have just ceased all contact with them. You may think that may be harsh of me, but i see it as fair.

If you think that that person has done something tomake you angry or upset beyond reason just stoptalking to them, it'll save you bother later on when they may do the same thing again."

"I'm going to be one of those people that likes naruto cause of his 'do or die' attitude. I think Naruto is one of those characters that deserves at least a little respect for the fact that he gets beat up quite badly most of the time and yet still has the guts and strength of character to get up again and try harder. To prove my point think of the chuunin exam when he was facing neji. I will agree that some of the other characters, such as neji, have better techniques but naruto after getting his chakra cut of still gets up in an effort to put up a fight."

what anime means to you?

"Anime is great for allowing you to see how other people's imagination works and at the same time allows you to expand your own imagination too. I love anime because of the creativity and dedication that has went into creating it.

All in all anime is one of those things that allows you to see all aspects of the characters life (the main character at least) and as such you tend to build up an empathy with the characters. I love the way you can end up guessing how they will feel and how they will act or react to the different situations that come up against them. That might be just me who does that but i have a feeling that it's not."

"I understand much better why you were feeling the way you were. This guy won't stand much of a chance up against the system, I would say, especially with what he's bn doing.

If the legal system has been put into play then i doubt that it would allow this guy near his daughter without a responsible adult nearby. If it makes you (and your sister) feel better then you should keep your family nearby your neice (when you can) and i doubt this guy will have any chance to grab her and run."

"In my view it would really depend on what the 'horrible' thing was. I can understand why you might have trouble to come to a decision. There will always be situations that make you think of stepping over the lines.

The only advice i can offer is for you to think about what your family member would want you to do about the situation. Also what would be the pro's and con's of crossing our lines. Think about it and see what answers you come up with.

One last thing, sometimes we react to meeting the person before we have a chance to think about it. So be carefull about that sort of situation. Sorry for not being much help."

Driving

"I don't know what drivers Ed's like. In the UK one usually goes out with the driving instructor and he takes you out onto the REALLY QUIET roads until you eventually progress. As you progress the busier the roads become.

Tips: Keep watching the road and checking your mirrors (again I'm not sure what drivers ed's like). Also this is another important tip when steering feed it through. In other words don't start driving like Formula 1 drivers. It gets you nowhere other than with your arms crossed over and then you know you have messed up.

Those will probably be the most important tips for you. By the way i do have a full license and can drive so i know what it's like out on the road and i have seen many a maniac."

"There are 3 places in this world that i really want to see. They are Japan, New Zealand and Canada. Don't ask me why even i am not sure anymore, all i know is that i have been interested in seeing these places for years now and am slowly making progress as to getting there (money is a major factor)."

Naruto

"BAsically, these crappy storylines and pointless missions have been created by the anime makers. That's why it's of poor quality. Effectively there were three months between the time naruto and sasuke had their fight and the time when naruto leaves konoha to take up training with Jiraya. The manga never showed anything of what happened during these three months and that is where the anime decided to place in some filler episodes.

I share your oppinion that the filler episodes have been of very poor quality and lack anything spectacular to them. All I can say is that when naruto gets back to following the manga plotline the quality of the story should improve. I, myself, am waiting patiently for this to happen. So hold on in there, we should be back in manga storyline soon enough (maybe another month or so)."

nose bleeds...how do you handle them?

"I don't get nosebleeds very often. They are actually quite rare for me. The way that i was always taught how to deal with them was to hold the bridge of your nose tightly so that you can't breathe in or out of your nose. Then tilt your head back and breathe through your mouth. It sounds rather simplistic but it works for me. It usually stops the nosebleed in a couple of mins."

Will anime ever be extinct?

"The way that i look at it is... as we reach new heights of what we are able to do and what we are able to build there will always be a person with an incredible fantasy that will be shared by people. There is usually always something that will seem impossible to people and to this extent there is fiction for people to create stories to go with anime and mangas. So i don't think (hope) there won't be an end to anime.

BUT IF there should be an end to anime or manga I hope they make it a time in which I am not around to see it."

What do you do when you got nothing to do?

"If there isn't anything to do I usually have a browse on animepaper and look for any interesting material that may INSPIRE me to design a great wall. If that fails, then i go to my fall back option. I listen to some music, do some drawing/sketching or read a book. This usually entertains me for wuite a while and it's nice and relaxing as well."

Laptops or desktops?

"Desktops are my preference. I prefer the fact that they have more power and are quicker. Also i find them simpler to update. There is more space to work inside them when you open up. Desktops in my oppinion offer more to you. The real advantage of a laptop is in it's portability, while they are definately portable they most certainly aren't light and also the battery life doesn't last as long as you would really like it to."

Face fuzz

"I can occasionally be lazy about shaving. I personally don't suit a Moustache or a beard. So to that extent i try to shave about once a week. Sometimes i can't be bothered cause i am lazy. While i don't suit a Moustache or beard i do suit having some stuble.
I used to have sideburns and i let them grow quite far too but i got bored with them and let the barber cut them down.
I think facial hair really depends on the person wether or not it suits them. For me it doesn't really suit (other than stuble) and as such i don't keep it."

Wanna go to japan?

"I woluld love to vist Japan. It is one oif my three places in the world that i am desperate to visit. So much so that i may do so soon, as in the next couple of years. I would go to take in the sights, the manga, the anime and the culture. I have been interested in Japan for so many years, even longer than i have been into anime. I have no idea how it came to be that i wanted to see the place, but it doesn't really matter as it is still something in my heart. Over the recent years and due to recent friends I have become more obsessed with Japanese things (music, drama etc) and this has increased my perpetual desire to see Japan.
I would have to say i would love to visit the place, be able to speak the dialect and such but I don't think i would really want to live there. Sure it would be great but at the moment i am quite content with where i live and as such I don't really want to move away."

What makes it so hard for adults to accept the world of anime?

"I'm going to go with the flow here. Some parents view Anime as cartoons. To this extent they seem to think anime should be for children, which it shouldn't. Look back on episodes from anime you have watched, there has been all sorts displays of either violence or perversion. These are things that kids definately don't need to see. In Eureka seveN there was an episode where you see bodies getting blasted away and parts of bodies about the place. I think this would frighten kids.
All i can say is that adults sometimes gain a misconception about things and they cling to that misconception quite well."

"Yep, a couple of sites have stated that the fillers end on 182. Which I am very grateful for. I enjoy Naruto but these filler episodes have been nothing more than tedious. The storylines haven't really got me excited but i am bearing with them. I am desperate to see the kakashi storyline which should be up next. If your wondering how i know that then one of two things: Narutofan.com told me so. Also I read the manga so I have seen a bit further into Naruto. P.s. It was the Fillers that made me do it :p"

chibicrystal, Thanks for the advice so far. I was wondering if you have any suggestions as how to tone down the brightness of the characters. I worked on this for most of today and have forgotten how i brightened them up this much. I will look into more Blood brushes to see if there are any that give me a better effect for the wall.
