"I've cleared my cache. Multiple times.
I've rebooted my browser and rebooted my system.
I've even viewed the page on a work computer and at a public library.
I'm still seeing the old thumbnail. Am I going crazy?! 'Cause I sure feel like it."

Hmm. I uploaded a revised and much better scan (*checks*) 17 hours ago. The thumbnail still hasn't updated. I've tried clearing my cache, viewing from different computers, logging in and logging out, etc. So I don't think the problem is on my end...

How long does this process normally take? The message that I got after uploading the new scan said that it would take up to ten minutes, but it's been much longer than that."

"Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't aware that a piece could be officially commissioned and still considered "fanart" just because it's not by the usual artist. But yeah, like trismugistus said, that rule means that more than half of the F/SN category is fanart. Including a couple of the Fate Collection Posters (a few were drawn by guest artists) and the whole series of character album covers. Not to mention scans from the many F/SN doujinshi anthologies, a two of which are actually legally published by Kadokawa Shoten.

When my scan was rejected, I submitted a request for a Kosuke Fujishima category, if that's where you say the scan belongs. I still haven't heard or seen anything back about that.

Well, thanks for answering my questions. But personally, I think it would be a crying shame for that lovely scan to be deleted from the F/SN category and stuck in some (as of yet still non-existent) Kosuke Fujishima gallery, where F/SN fans will likely never find it. So I'm personally not going to report the scan. If anybody reading this feels that it should be reported though, I can't stop you."

"I wasn't aware that community scanners could skip the moderation Q. Well, that would explain it.

I PM'd the mod who originally rejected my scan, and sent her a link to the homepage of the magazine that I scanned the image from: http://www.ichijinsha.co.jp/special/charmel/

Obviously, it's been a week, and I haven't gotten any response.

I don't want to report suemura's scan because it doesn't break any rules - that's kind of my point. ^^;;"

"Report the scan for what? It's not a violation. It's not fanart. It IS from an official source (Chara-Mel Magazine, volume 1). It just happens to be an official illustration commissioned to an artist that doesn't normally illustrate Fate/Stay Night. I felt like I made that pretty clear in my title and description when I submitted my scan. (And the new scan doesn't even have a title or description. Argh, pet peeve.)

I don't think that the scan should have been rejected in the first place. It DOES belong in the F/SN category. I can't report the scan because it doesn't violate any rules. I'm just kind of pissed that my scan was rejected for a weird reason and I got docked papers, and then a week later someone else gets to submit a scan of the same image without problems.

I submitted my own scan of that image a week ago. It was rejected and cost me 100 papers. The reason that I was given for the rejection was: "Sorry fanarts should belong to the artist\'s gallery."

"I hate to thread-hijack but I'm having the same problem as the OP. For the past two weeks I've been trying to submit scans, but they never show up. I've checked and double-checked the pixel size and file size, and they're all fine (in fact, the file size is significantly smaller than the last couple of scans that I sucessfully submitted). My submitted scans never make it into the approval queue, I don't think. What used to happen would be, I would submit a scan, and then the number of "scan entries" on my profile would immediately increase, even while I was waiting for the approval process. This was how I could tell that my scans got into the queue. But now, no matter what I try, it seems like my submissions aren't going through at all. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong.

Yes, I've read the guide. I've double-checked the file size and pixel size guidelines. I've submitted scans before so I know what I'm doing.

Maybe there's some sort of problem on my end, with my internet connection or something? I don't know. I'm just really baffled, and a more than a bit frustrated. It's frustrating because a couple of things that I tried to submit have, in the interim, shown up in the gallery as submitted by other users. (*sigh*) "

Seriously, I loved this show. At first I was hesitant to get into it, because I've been reading the manga since it began running in LaLa, but I was always kind of "m'eh" about it. THEN I finally starting watching the anime and it was like, WHOA. The anime was a HUGE improvement over the manga in my opinion.

And as others have commented, all of the episodes were hilarious and there was never a single draggy/boring part, in my opinion. I really could have kept watching it forever... But alas, all good things must come to an end."

Two really dumb newbie questions

"Thanks. I found the BBcode part of the FAQ, but at the time it didn't help me because I was being stupid with the IMG tag (trying to include the URL insisde the tag instead of between tags), and it didn't actually show how to use the image tag, it just showed an example of what an image looks like. But eventually I figured out what I was doing wrong, so it's all good.

Um, about the search function... This is just a suggestion, but wouldn't it be a good idea for the search function to appear when you click the "Forums" button on the top navigation bar? To me using the "Forums" button seems like the most intuitive, obvious gateway to the forums. If I'm right that the search function *only* appears when you use the "Thread Index" option, then that seems a bit counter-intuitive. Wouldn't it be more helpful if the search function was always on top (or on the bottom) of the forum page, or at least appeared on the main forum index that shows up when you click "Forums"? "

"1. Aha, thank you. I was usually just clicking the "Forums" button on the navigation bar on top, and a search function doesn't show up when you do that. But now that I know about "Thread Index" I will use that instead.

"Hello. I'm new here, which you'll probably be able to find out in a second. I read all of the Site and Forum FAQs and did a quick browse-through of some forums, and I still have two questions:

1. Is there a search function for this forum? Specifically, I'd like to be able to search to see if questions/topics that I'd like to post about have already been addressed.

2. Is there a guide to using BBcode anywhere on this site? I'm trying to customize the "custom area" on my user profile, but I am feeling teh dumb today because BBcode keeps thwarting me. Usually there's a "help" button somewhere that will pop up a guide to using BBcode, but I can't seem to find one on this site. I'm sure it's somewhere really obvious, but I'm having one of those can't-find-my-nose-on-my-own-face days. (*sigh*)
