"Err vector naruto form a scan I found on AP. The lines look messy becuz I want it look like a sketch O.o
And yup I know naruto looks scary and the colour is odd-looking. I changed the colour due to the original colour is sad-looking. Then I ended up with another colourful mess T_T
Any ideas?

"If you have trouble on how to keep the proportion of the scan, try to press "shift" button when resizing it. The trees can be done by brushes.

I think u're mistaking everyone here. What people tell you is the ideas, its not what they want to see it done. But u're thinking that they are telling you what to do and fighting against them. At least, people will be glad to see the revision of your wall, even though you haven't accepted their ideas. They don't want to see you posting excuses saying" I don't like your ideas"
Anyway, a high rating wallpaper is a wallpaper that meets common sense. So in some ways, doing what people says is not bad O.o

Clean, clear and crisp character elements are basic. hatesyou is telling you what is a must to get your wall accepted. Every wall here has that standard. your wall must reach that standard first, then you can let your creative flowing in making the bg, creating aura, etc. No-one would ever tell you "your bg must do like this and that" "

not trying to start anything but the level of complextion here is on a completely different level and i need help getting a feel for how complex that really is other then the wall is to simple... ive seen walls more simple then this get in so i thought this wouldnt be so bad...

The simple walls you said may look simple, but the effort is not simple like you think. Some walls don't have a background at all, its for artistic purposes and the walls get accepted becuz the creators put their effort on the other elements as much as the others.
Background is not the only element that create a great wallpaper but sometimes it is a must. In your case, you don't have a background, the staffs would evaluate your effort on the remaining. I mean the scan, but it has inadequate quality.

Uhm for suggestions, if you want to make a simple background, then you should vector the characters. That way you can create a clean & clear version. Or wait for the other's suggestions on how to make a complex background.

"I think you should download some rose brushes to use in the background instead using the default leaf brush ^_^. And even with the brushes, the bg still looks a little bit empty, maybe you can think of some cool designs, add textures or use a stock photo or something similar

it's nice wall. The bg is cool. But I think you should work more on the extraction. The scan quality is good though. Try to clean it or vector it completely. The text is fine but I almost can not see it ( maybe becuz the bg is too bright, it almost eat the text ^^")

"I think you should get rid of of the borders around the characters ^^". Becuz like iroveashe has mentioned, the borders make the scans look like they are going to pop out of the background. And the scans, the text don't blend well with the background. They looks like different entities. You can see Ichigo scan has a dark colour in overall, Rukia scan has a bright colour in general. And I see snow on Rukia shoulder T_T even though the background is a sunset scene. Try to make the scans blend with your background. For example, make some orange light come from the back of the characters ><.
