"I hang around with anime watchers being the president of an Anime Society. Some of them would call themselves Otaku others would find that slightly insulting.Some of my otaku friends frustrate me however, they criticise me because of the fact I only watch about 1 hour of anime a day, instead of the four hours they watch. Also some of them have views that real girls are not as pretty as anime girls. This view is ok but seriously limits girl friend options.
Not everyone is like this, in a society of 153 people only about 12 people are like this. Anime has started to become a mainstream interest to people so we now start getting people on varying levels of otaku interests. "

"Personally I do not smoke. Living in England I can not wait for July because the smoking ban comes into force. When I go to clubs, it annoys me the amount of smoke that fills the club. When I go home my clothes stink of smoke and require a wash before they can be worn again - as a uni student this is frustrating - and also my hair stinks of smoke.Plus also it does no body any good. I sit in the exam hall and I look at the exam paper and then it occurs to me that exams are printed on really good paper. Now I am not one for looking at paper and admire the quality of it. "I can sum up that episode in a three words .... I simply cried. I still cried even though one of my friends spoiled it for me. I loved the episode very much even though my two favorite characters have died. L and Watari were my favorite and because of my love for them I have come to hate Light. After this episode I hate Light more.As for the scene was has debate over whether it is yaoi or a biblical reference I personally believe that I can not answer this question until i have finished the series. I personally do not mind whether it yaoi scene or a biblical reference. "

"I download episodes when they air in Japan - yes in English subs of course - and then when ever - or if ever - they hit England I purchase them. I prefer to buy the volumes instead of the collections because they look better on my DVD shelf. Plus of time i have noticed you can sometimes get more special features in the volumes than in collections. "View
Which do you like, watching old classic or new anime?

"It is new anime for me. The old anime i am sorry is just too ugly looking. The sound effects hurt my ears. At my uni anime society there is a guy that likes old school anime lots. He attempts to force us to watch it loads and because of this there have been many suicides among the society.But seriously, the old anime does not look as artistic to me as the new anime. The world changes and the old school anime is exactly that, old anime. It is old and out dated.
I understand that people can enjoy watching old anime to see because it was the start of genre. To see what influence the future in the begin. Personally i can't watch old anime but i have nothing against people that do.

Why do people just have to tell evryone that they hate dubs?

"Some dubs are ok but, over all i prefer subs. That is my personal opinion and i respect people that like the dubs over the subs. In my experience there have been some dubs that have been awful and there have been dubs that have been great. Cowboy bebop has a excellent dub, again this is my own opinion.I like it in subs when you get pieces of text translated. An annoying memory is of Rahxephon. The main character was given a note and the dvd never translated it unless you selected the Japaneses subs. This left a gap in the story line until i discovered the translated version.
Ghost in the Shell: SAC has ok dub but i do not like the voice of the major. It sounds to weak to me where as the major to me is going to have a more powerful voice. Also the Think Tanks sounded more weaker as well instead of just plain annoying in the Japaneses version - i still loved them though.
At the end of the day it is what people's opinions are. Some people prefer dubs and others prefer subs. Both groups should not attack the other group on there believes. "

"Agreed the spike Vs vicious battle at the end of cowboy bebop was amazing. I also think the noir ending fight was quite good. Even though it is not a final fight I think the Sasuke Vs Naruto battle is worth a mention. "View
