"I would have to say that having a car is a distinct advantage. You can chose where to go and when to go without having to rely on someone else. I think that it is also a symbol of independence that some look for in other people."

How do you watch Japanese anime ?

"I watch them subtitled and generally speaking in their entirety... which means OP/ED the whole shebang. I also tend to watch fansubbed over dubbed and even R1 DVDs since the ones I watch have better TS and styling compared to bland arial subtitles. =D"

How do you feel after you finish your 100th anime series

"Hahaha That's a very interesting perspective. I have not kept count, but I'm pretty sure I'm either at or beyond the 100 mark. I think that after watching anime voiced in Japanese, I can never watch anything that's dubbed. The voice acting just bothers me. There may be a few series out there where the voice acting is close to that of the original, but that seems to be a rarity these days. While I have no intention of stopping, I seemed to have slowed down considerably. I no longer watch everything out there, but rather, choose series selectively. I guess fansubbing has taken its toll a bit."

Passionate over sports?

"I would say that I like to watch basketball and soccer. I like the unpredictable way college basketball plays itself out every year during march madness. I also like to watch EPL and Champions League soccer whenever I am able to catch it on tv. While I understand that many people don't like to watch soccer because they think it is boring, as an athlete it's always fun to watch someone who is at their peak play."

What do you HATE the most about anime?

"One of the things I really don't like about a lot of the anime today is the fact that they are so predictable. Another thing that irks me when watching anime is when the feel the need to put in recap episodes. To me, that's even worse than a filler ep... though naruto fillers are on an entirely different level.

Regarding anime that isn't drawn well... naruto would also be an interesting example. There were different production teams, and between episodes, you could tell which studio did which episode. Anyhow... this was not meant to bash on naruto in any way... I just fansubbed a lot of it..."

"Yeah. i think it's happened on more than one occasion. you get that weird feeling of "hasn't this happened before?". however, i think i read a study somewhere that that kinda feeling is caused when the left and right side of your brain aren't synchronized or something? hehe kinda interesting if you ask me."

"I would have to say that i prefer to watch anime subbed. as for tv vs computer. i think it depends. if the quality of the video file isn't good enough, then watching it on tv will detract from watching anime."

"I like to watch old movies, but it seems that you have to appreciate the old styles used in movie making in order to truly appreciate them. like movies today are shot with quick cuts while older movies tend to have longer scenes. it also seems that only certain people like to watch black and whites while others find them too bland and boring."

"Haha. the thing with drinking milk though is that after a while i think your body stops absorbing that type of calcium? so maybe calcium supplements will do better. it's still a good source of other nutrition though =P."
