I've never been a Malfoy fangirl but it seemed like from Book 6 and even a bit in book 7 that Rowling had plans for Malfoy but never ended up doing anything for him. I think what was also a bit of a letdown was that the Slytherin house wasn't really redeemed at all.

Agree with this. Would have been wonderful if at least some Slytherins were left behind in the battle, to show that no one is truly evil, and some could be redeemed. One thing that was okay for me was when

Now I'm wondering, does Draco incur a life-debt from that?

And I like it that Narcissa's motherly love overcame her 'beliefs', for her to hide Harry status.

Overall, JKR did more for the Malfoy's then I was hoping for, I actually thought they would all be killed off in the beginning of DH.

I was so happy that Harry and Ginny got together. I was a little shocked that Ron and Hermione got together.

The big surprise for me that Harry and Ginny did end up together. After all, HP went through 5 books not giving attention to Ginny, then suddenly in Book 6 he becomes jealous. It's really surprising for me. The least JKR could do to make this couple more believable for me was development starting in Book 3! Now I'm thinking that their love is still hero-worship on Ginny's end. Not surprised with Ron and Hermione ending up together. After all, their 'cat-dog' relationship is a sign of great love, and Ron did get jealous in Book 4 ROFL.

And the epilogue, don't even get me started on the epilogue. I'm actually erasing it from my head, and hoping to forget about it (-_-)

Overall the book did tie up some loose ends, but it did create new ones. And some 'mistakes' for me anyway like:

"Well.. some would think that telling them that you hate them or don't like one particular attitude of theirs is acting like a good friend. And it may be, but it's hard to do. You would take a lot of things into account. Their feelings and yours, especially after telling them that you hate them, you would have to be prepared that your friendship might never be the same again. There would be insecurities and mistrust."

"I'm frightfully reminded of Philosophy classes, I'm already sitting on the front row, but the voice of the professor still makes me sleepy.

So what I do is pretend that I'm thinking about the lecture, when what I'm really doing is holding my eyelids to keep it open, if it still doesn't work, and the lure of the Sandman is still strong then I'd bow my head, pretend to be writing and close my eyes, though not entirely effective, since one time I actually did doze off and ended up banging my head on the table, that woke me up!

Though in the most improbable probability that I would someday end up with a guy like that, then I'll try to understand his side.

Maybe he was traumatized as a child when he watched Dragonball, or maybe he's scared of meeting a strong female figure that could knock him out in a second, whatever the case I'll be open minded as long that he won't badmouth too much in front of me regarding anime to the point that I know that he is disregarding MY feelings, then I'd probably break it off with him including some bones (or not).
