After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Suggestions on a few games
2 years 8 months ago
"Hey folks. Maybe ya'll can help me with something, I can't decide between Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Xbox 360) or Justice League: Heroes (PS2/XBOX). Of all the reviews I've read, it seems it's unanimous that Ultimate Alliance is better ranked than Heroes. What is everyone else's opinions on this?On a slightly related note, what are everyone's opinions on a new Xbox 360 game called Bullet Witch? Apparently, I've read it's a very quick game, but I am very intrigued by it.
Thanks for everyone's input."

Anime, Macs, and H264

Anime, Macs, and H264

"haha... nice... don't worry about it... I get that a lot! :D
When I go to animesuki.com, there are files that are listed at h264 version. (Also, the new season of School Rumble by Wannabefansubs are only in h264. :D ) In any case, thanks for the help. I think my VLC is up to date. But the thing is, my friend who uses Windows VLC can play some files that I can't. It's very weird. Oh well, for now, it's not so big of a deal. I just want to prepare myself to be able to play h264 files in case that's where the future of anime and video is going towards.
By the way, I found an interesting forum topic where it explains the whole h264 thing here."

Anime, Macs, and H264

"So, question for anyone who might know the answer. I have a Mac running OS X 10.4 and I use Quicktime with the DivX for Mac codec to watch most of my anime (usually .avi). Things that don't work however, I use the fantastic VLC program. VLC tends to play everything that Quicktime can't. But there have been a few problem files that won't play, such as certain .mkv files. Now, I'm noticing that a lot of anime is being released as .mp4 with this new fangled H264 codec. I might be wrong, but I vaguely remember Quicktime supporting H264, yet I cannot play these mp4/H264 files. Now, I've read a several articles about playing H264 files and such, but most of them are with regards to setting it up for a Windows (ie, using Media Player Classic and other video players that work only for Windows). Is there any hope for Mac users to play H264 now that it seems like avi/DivX days are coming to an end? With mp4/H264 taking over most animes, is this the end of watching anime on a Mac? Any help or comments is greatly appreciated!"View

Drunken boxing
3 years 11 months ago
"Drunken Boxing is a legitimate style! It's very hard style to learn because it requires you to have mastered other styles. That way, when you become inebriated (and thus, more flexible and able to take pain), you can combine all your mastered moves and then mix them up and be unpredictable (which is the key aspect of drunken boxing). I've seen real drunken boxing before (non-movies) and it looks nice. But I have yet to see them actually spar with another style. btw, in actual drunken boxing, you don't actually drink... you just act drunk and be really unpredictable/random. It's cool."View
The Metal Gear Series

"I would have to say MGS1 is the best. While I played MGS1 first, followed by MGS2, and then MGS3, I still found that the first one was the most satisfying (albeit, Twin Snakes took it a bit far by making some parts rather implausible... come on, jumping on rockets??). The graphics were awesome (at the time) and most importantly, the concept of the game was fantastic. There weren't many other "sneaking" games out back then, and I think MGS was a very innovative step to practically starting a new genre of games. After all, look at all the new sneaking games there are now. Can't wait, though, for MGS4 to see what happens!"View

Hentai Anime

"I don't think there's anything "wrong" with hentai. I think of it more of like a genre of anime, just like shonen, mecha, etc. There's nothing wrong with mecha right? So, in my opinion, there's nothing wrong with hentai. Some may like it, some may not. But anyway, I would have to agree with everyone else that Bible Black is a worthy series. Have any of you seen Shin Bible Black, the new episodes that take place several years after the first ones? Apparently, there's also this other Bible Black episode that contains just short vignettes featuring the BB girls (from the anime AND the game). What are everyone's opinions on that? Also, have any of you heard of a series called Angelium? Are there any more than two episodes?"View

School Rumble... done!

"OVA?? yay! that is good news! Indeed, the ending did seem a bit unfinished. Does anyone have a running list of all the parodies they did of other anime/shows? I think they might have done a fighting/DBZ-like one with Harima and Hanai (they "powered up" and all the electricity flying... haha). Any other recognizable ones?"View

"So I've been looking into cosplaying (either for cons or for Halloween, whichever comes first). And I'm really interested in cosplaying as an Akatsuki member (from Naruto). However, I'm new to this whole cosplaying thing so I have no idea where to start. Anyone have any suggestions, links, etc? My main concern is determining what kind of material and how to make it (sewing? drawing?). Thanks!"View
Where do you get your anime?
4 years 3 months ago
"I used to buy tons of DVDs from Suncoast, Fry's, etc. But lately, I've found that downloading off BitTorrent and then burning to DVD is generally more cost-effective. I do, however, go and purchase the DVDs of shows I find exceptionally good (when they become licensed). Of course, I end up never watching those DVDs again, and they just sit there gathering dust... how sad."View
