"Im am so dissapointed! *almost crying*i bought the box set and am exactly half way. the anime series has been sooo good so far. ive been scrawling the net looking for everything about this series and i decided to visit this forum. I noticed the first 10 posts (correction: first 20) were like "good anime for the first half, severely lacking in the second".
How could they have ran out on their budget - the anime was on a role! Ah well, at least i wont have my hopes up on the rest of the series.
The manga seems really old (i also don't like the illustrations....the whole strands of hair bit)"

"Tenjou Tenge could have been brilliant! i watched the anime then read the manga (jap version) and i can say the manga caned it from all sides. though the anime sticks pretty close to the manga (in terms of plot) it was just too slow and disjointed. The first season basically only introduced the plot line, the ova only added 2 episodes and brought the series to the tournament and 'the past chapters' was just a recap. How many seasons did they plan on completing? i will be annoyed if they dont do another season, it just wont do the manga (and the series) justice.plenty of fan-service if ure into that. ( i think im numb to it now after watching this, ikkitousen, mahoromatic, love hina, gantz etc. etc. etc. etc.)
animation-wise: was good except severely lacking in the fight scenes! All they did were a heap of stills!
sound: besides the opening and ending, it was pretty standard."
