"I tell people if it comes up what I am into. Even if it is old people that dont quite understand what it is. If someone is like--of that is like porn, right? I explain to them what it is and the premise of some of the shows I watch and they usually say it sounds interesting. I have some anime stickers on my car so it would be hard to hide. The only one that doesnt understand is my mom, but she has always been closed minded to everything I do so I really dont care."View

"Notice the part where it said authorities arent sure about his juvenile record? This is because the record no matter how bad is esponged when they turn 18 as long as they are never tried asw a youthful offender which actually doesnt happen as often as it should. I have known 15 year old boys that molested 6 year old little girls by luring them into dark basements and nothing was done to this boy at all. I fought to get him put into an inpatient facility for child molesters but JSU would never do anything. I quit working with juvenile offenders after that. Our nation seems to be more concerned with the rights of offenders than the rights of truly innocent people. They always put the victim on trial and if they ever had sex before they are likely to be found at fault. So in this case who are they going to blame instead of the fucked up man who should have just been shot rather than taken into custody? This probably sounds extreme but I have done my time trying to reform and have learned that people like this have no redeeming quality and should just be shot rather than cost the prison systems the time to put him through trials and take care of him. What is worse, they have to give him a private cell because as odd as it sounds--other inmates do not put up with animal abusers, wife abusers and especailly kid abusers and he would probably be raped by instrumentation and shanked within a couple of days if the jail didnt protect him. Personally I think that would be true justice compared to what that baby went through and will probably go through for her entire life. I almost admire the countries that lop off a hand when people steal-oddly enough I bet if the part that was lopped off fit the crime, it may curb the crime rate a bit. You know you steal or assault someone you lose a hand, you rape you lose - well another appendage. As far as like selling drugs-I dont know maybe lose your tongue so you dont have as easy a time negotiating. Harsh huh??"View

"You are right about the ultimate sacrifice--I am sure if Mr. Ngobobo has any family, he is in fear for thier lives if not his own. Thus, the hero would have to be someone with no friends and no family and willing to sacrifice themselves-hence the superhero angst of the comic books--but they are very correct in that respect. I have always said that if I had been abandoned or lost my family, I would become an assassin for the good guys, but I have a family and would not want to lose them."View

"You are probably right and unfortunately they probably would have to be billionaire's with all thier family dead to want to truly take up the responsibility because even if you stand against corruption, your family could end up being the one's that get hurt. We see this all the time here with one gang member shooting another and then they drive by the house and shoot at it and kill babies or the elderly that are the relatives of the gang member. When I have talked to them they have always said-if someone hurts my family or friends then I hurt their family and friends-so the innocent suffer. Honestly lately the corruption and the crime has been a lot worse to were I carry my tazer on me when I go outside-I am beginning to look forward to moving, but I will miss my house and my mother and sister still have to live here. Which people are right about, the corruption will eventually spread-I think we will move to New Zealand :)"

"Actually I didnt get into anime until after high school and the people that I hang with and talk to about it didnt either. We all started watching one that peaked our interest and discovered the thirst for more. Now we are all nerds-ha ha. It is good to talk to other people because they can suggest anime that I havent seen and sometimes I get hooked. My walls are covered now in anime and I got my husband into it as well. We even have shinigami outfits from Bleach that we dressed up in for a costumed event. I have anime stickers all over my car and sometimes suggest sone of them to the kids that I counsel. I think too often once you graduate high school people expect you to grow up and be an adult and not into "cartoons" and "playing" but I think this is the fountain of youth and I never want to grow out of it."View
Lucid dreams

"I lucid dream a lot and usually make it to be an adventure or end up having sex--both fun. I usually dont wake up any more tired than normal, but sometimes when it is an epic dream, it takes a couple of hours to get away from the feeling and story. I have epic dreams that I have turned into short stories and one that is the start of a novel but when I have these it feels like it happened and I know the people for a little while after and then it all fades. This is why when I have them, i write it down when I get up so I dont forget it. Lucid dreaming is fun, especailly flying and when I fly I always think in my dream, "this is so easy, I understand how this is possible, so why cant I do it when awake." "View

"Change is vital to growth and exploration I think. If nothing ever changed then we would not gain the strength that comes with overcoming things. For example-the American economy sucks because our doofus president spent more money then we could ever pay back-he's rich and made him and his friends a lot of money in the process so he is cool with this. Becuase of a poor economy, people are loosing thier jobs and the price of food and gas is going up and up. I was laid off in April. Sounds bad huh? Actually it forced me to do what I was afraid to do before and contract instead of working full time in an office. Now I am helping people who truly need it, setting my own hours and feel better. I dont make as much money since I only get paid when I am with the client, unlike before when I got a pay check every two weeks regardless. This put some problems in my way because I had planned to get some bills paid off this year but oh well. On the last few days I was at my job everyone kept saying I should be angry at the company for promising I had a job and then letting me go, but I wasnt. I have handled being laid off before when I was just out of high school and I survived so I knew I could do it this time and was able to leave that company with a light heart knowing that I am stronger because of it. People get very bored if it is the same thing all the time and they become ambivilent about things. When change happens especailly forced change, they you have a chance to do something new that can renew your energy for life. Because of overcoming change, I know that people are stronger for it and can handle anything that life throws thier way-they may even grow to like it and try new things."View

"Thye say there is less crime in countries that cut off the hands of the offenders that steal but I am not sure this is a good thing to do because then not only can they not get a normal job that requires both hands but I dont think that more violence is necessarily the best thing. Yes the 'hero" can kill the bad guys and not even blink but then the bad guys feel like they have to be more and more violent. Personally I think I would just shoot them but then againthat is why I am not a hero because the real heroes can stop the problem without killing--or so it seems in the comic book world. In reality I dont know if this is possible any longer to use brite force rather than death. I guess my problem with killing every criminal is that it takes away their chance to do some good in this world and some actually do but the other side of that is it may prevent them from doing something worse--since we cant see the future you dont know if letting the man get by with driving drunk once will straighten him out and he will stop or if he will continue and kill someone. Unfortunately the prison systme often makes people ten times worse then they were when they went in so there is no winning really. I guess it s a new spin on an old saying "buy the man a fish and he will eat that day " but teach the man to fish and he may stab you in the back with your fish knife and take your wallet anyway :)."View

"Yeah I have gone to the media and they didnt want to get involved--I also talked to the DA and other judges as well as a friend that I have that is pretty high up in a national policing agency. They basically also did not have any answers and seemed hesitant to have an opinion. As far as guns go, our local DA has already shot down the "stand your ground law" and the person involved is going to have to keep taking it to higher courts while she wastes away in prison. I realize corruption is everywhere and the world is a bad place with things getting worse and worse every day. I guess I was wondering how apathetic people have really gotten to just be satisfied with this. I realize that this town (and probably a lot more) is apathetic and people would rather just live thier day to day lives and clean the messes up as they occur rather that expel the energy to change things like a hero would. But you are right in saying this is a world issue and I know this all too well--I just thought if one town could be cleaned up, that would start something and perhaps gives others the idea as well. Oh and--Our national guard is overseas fighting someone else's corruption now."View

"I live in a small town in Oklahoma that is been plagued with corruption over the past 10 years I guess. There are shootings every night and really bad drugs and gangs and the cops are not doing anything. When I have called or others have called them to report people breaking in to houses or other crimes, they come by and shake the hand of the criminals and drive off. They rarely stop the killings and gang activity and they dont don anything about the drugs. They harrass the good citizens by pulling them over for seat belt violations while just letting criminals seel drugs under thier noses. I have only lived here going on 4 years and the only thing I can think to do is sell my house and move. Now people have to take things into thier own hands because the cops wont do antying and they are treated even more brutally then the gansters, like the little old lady that shot a drunk son in law that was breaking into her house to kill her and her family-he didnt die but was wounded and she is going to prison and he got no jail time at all. The powerful people of the city dont care because either they are part of the drug selling population by getting rich off the gangs or they are living in secluded parts of the city that the gangs cant get into. This is a city of only 60,000-so I ask--in the cities that you live in, if you cant depend on the cops and people that take matters into thier own hands are locked away, then who do you turn to? Why are the only heroes that fight for juctice and end corruption only a work of fiction? I know it is naive but sometimes I wish I had some super power to stay under the radar so to speak so I could go out and rid cities like this of the scum-but I know that would be impossible especially if the police department is as corrupt as the criminals. It is getting to where citizens are more afraid of the police unit going down the street then the gang cars with the guns hanging out of them. We keep our doors locked at all times and are afraid to sit out on our porches at night."View

"I loved this movie and the only thing I could think that I would change is just to add more music in the background. It was not only perfect in every aspect but Heath Ledger was too good. HIs joker was so perfectly sadistic and masochistic and made the joker a real menace instead of the joke of the past movies and cartoons. You could tell that heath ledger became the part of the joker and this may have lead to his problems sleeping since it is hard to peer to intensely into the sadistic criminal mind and not come away unscathed. I only hope they do the third movie and put as much time and thought into it. I am almost afraid for them to do this since so many third movies are just crap they throw out there (see X men 3) --or better yet dont. "View

"I guess I am confused as to why this is an issue at all. Marriage is nothing more than a legal issue that allows spouses to have benefits thats non spouses would not be able to get. Regardless of if it is allowed or banned is not going to change how people feel about each other or if they have sex with each other or choose to live together as a couple devoted to each other for years. It is not going to prevent AIDS or STDA which by the way is a straight persons disease more than it is in the gay population anymore. So is this really about the moral fundamentalists versus gays or is it just simply government trying to limit who gets a persons social security based on thier sexual preference. I think people would have less stress if they would quit trying to bring everyone around to thier thinking and values. NO one is the same in thier values and trying to dictate your's on another is wrong even if you have the government or moral majority behind you. If two consenting adults want to get married and take on all of the responsibilities that includes, then the government should not have the right to stand int thier way. If the church doesnt want to recognize it then oh well-they dont have to go to a church to get married anyway and they dont have to be christian or straight to love each other and be moral people who do the right thing."View

"You are right about the media's version of beauty being fickle because through the ages and more specifically throught he decades in the last 100 years it has changed from voluptuos to ultra thin emaciated looking in the 60's and 70's and then to thin but with curves to thin with no curves and it seems to bee swinging back the other way recently with curves being back in in women at least. For men the models are expected to be either thin or muscular but actors can be flabby or muscular or even on the fat side and still be the sex symbol--even a little weird looking like Jim Carry is considered a sex symbol to many. Since the human race lately is so controlled by the images they are fed by the media, beauty is hard to define because people have gotten so far away from finding beuaty in everything. The few who find the beauty in form of any kind are truly free from the shackles of society's limitations or perhaps they are the ones who dont see form but see spirit."View

"I like heroes and considering what else is on TV, it is pretty refreshing. I know that next season will be short but it is still a growing series and I think people will be pleasantly surprised with where it will go. It may have started a little x-man'y but that is just the nature of the whole mutant thing. The way it is going is still original and some of the powers are pretty creative considering that X-men and all of it's many spin off's has been around for so long and had this time to come up with every concievable power so yah-there are going to be similarities of course."View

"We were just talking about this--I dont think the whole big giant guy thing would have worked as well on the big screen because it would have come off as goofy and since they had the fire thingy instead it may leave it open for another appearnace by it. Then again for the third movie I am sure they wont need any Galactus appearnace at all because they would have moved on but they have the ability to bring in Silver Surfer now-which is cool."

"I think anime will be accepted in america because it has so many new watchers each day and as adults are exposed to them-they will like them and search for more. Sci-fi has already started an anime monday as have so many other channels that arent for kids. The main thing is that the audlts that are into new things without regard to what is age appropriate will love it or already do. The old fuddy duddy's that think that only serious live action is ok don't really matter anyway because they would never be open to new things and they never even give it a chance. My mom was making little snide remarks about me watching a lot of anime when she was over once and I flatly said-watch it with an open mind and see if you still feel it is juvenile. She did and actually liked it when she figured out what was going on (she got in the middle of ghost in the shell). I think there is already subtle proof that anime is catching on like wild fire here in America and it will only be more obvious with time."View

"Besides the love of my life---I would have to say materialistically, anime--any really --I think I would be a bit bored if I didnt have something new to get into. If I had to think beyond the material, I would say the use of my body. I think if I lost my mind, I would be ok because do crazy people know they are crazy or even care? "I find that when I am highly pissed off to the point of wanting to hurt someone, it is best for me to take some time away and cool down and be left alone for a little while. If someone keeps pushing me and wont let me be alone, like follows me around yelling, they are more than likely to get hurt. Luckily I can tell people to leave me alone and they do for awhile, then I calm down and get over it-no big deal. The main thing is not to feel cornored so I dont have to feel like a caged cat."View
Smoking

"Ok here is an honest opinion. I smoked for several years, started when I was 17. My husband smoked since he was like 16 too and for a long time. We started getting to where we felt run down a lot and didnt have the stamina that we used to because our lung capacity had diminished a bit. We decided a couple of years ago to go cold turkey and have been off of it since and feel pretty good. The stamina has returned and we can breath. We also have freinds that have followed in our footsteps and decided to call it quits and they even say they feel better and cant believe that they had no real sense of smell while they were smoking and the taste of food is better also. Smoking is a choice most definately but you cant be truly healthy and do it and you shouldnt make the choice for others as in smoking in front of kids where they have no choice but to inhale the secone hand stuff. It is kind of up to you if you continue but the cost and the outlawing that somany cities are talking about may make it difficult. Personally I would fight for the right to smoke in your own house like some are trying to do away with, but I believe it will ultimately be illegal to smoke anywhere."View

"I try to put something in my savings account every paycheck and more on a regular basis if I can. I have my checking and savings linked so in case of emergency I can use what is in my savings rather than running up a credit card. This way I not only save a lot in interest but have a nice cushion."View

"actually I wrote the doctor in the foreign country back and told him that I called the person that suppossedly wanted my cat and they had no idea what I was talking about. I asked the doc to give me more informaiton and submit to a background check so that I could verify his authenticity. He responded back but just pretty much wrote the same thing as the first time only re-worded and again said the person who wanted to adopt was sincere. I responded back "whatever"."
