About the graphics, it depends on the games, its got some games that are better than the 360 and some suck as well. All in all I say the PS3 and 360 are equal. "Im a regular Ubuntu Linux user but I need to use Windows XP/Vista since most of the software we use at work is Windows-oriented. The servers at the office are on Linux though... which I cherish much... and yes I'm such a geek. >_<

Vista isn't that bad after the SP1 update. There are minor performance boosts. I just hope that the number 2 is a charm when they do the SP2 update. If XP became stable when its SP2 rolled out, maybe SP2 of Vista will be the same? Lets wait and see..."

Vista made for laptops?!

"Vista can work perfectly well on laptops... BUT, you need at least 2 GB of memory for it to work properly. My Dad's HP laptop came with Vista Home Premium, yet it only had 512mb of memory. I was like wtf? Thats gonna be like a crawl, and I was right... My Dad eventually coughed up the money for an upgrade of RAM, so it now has 1.5 GBs of memory on it. Vista now works very well... BUT, in the end my dad opted to downgrade to XP. ^^;"

Google Chrome Impression

"I'm using it right now as I post this. So far I'm liking it. Its extremely fast and it doesn't take up too much resources. I had problems at first when some sites didn't load. I later found out thru my fidling that my anti-virus (Kaspersky) was the culprit. It appears that Chrome accesses URLs a bit differently than what FF and IE do, so Kaspersky thinks its some sort of a URL injection or whatnot.

Still its very promising. Its still in the beta stage but once it goes mainstream I hope they clean up a lot of the issues. "

"Recently I have. In the neighborhood where I live in. Its a suburban area that gets really quiet once the clock strikes around 6 pm. The streets become lonely and dark. I've cried because I was doing a lot of thinking, because of my recent break up with my girl friend. We've been steady for 2 years now but it had to end. It was because her family didn't like me. It was because she was Chinese and I wasn't (her family is extremely shall we say "racist" about this). It was also because I am just a salaryman, as opposed to what her family wants, a rich man. So many things... I didn't mind any of these. All I cared about is that I loved her, and I love her still.

I'm still torn right now, its been almost a month since that day. And I still cry on the streets at night when I walk on my way home from work, and I'll probably be like this until the day I die..."

"City living has been very hectic and problematic for me lately. I dream someday that I will be living in my own dainty house at the top of a peaceful hill. Where meadows reach out as far as the eye can see. Maybe there will be a lake where I can perhaps fish sometimes. Of course I want to be off the grid, so solar and/or wind power will be the thing for me. I'll still have satellite TV and the Internet though. Also maybe I'll grow my own vegetables and visit the local markets for my meats.

"Fewer and fewer people have few or no manners at all. I'm grateful that my mom and dad instilled stuff in me on how to respect and be respectful at all times. Of course I know that it depends on each individual's upbringing but society has to touch them at some point and say what they are doing is wrong.

Also I've noticed at the chatrooms that I am a moderator. A LOT of kids think "cybering" (cyber sex) is normal and should not be a ground for banning or kicking of the account. Sigh... where are the morals?"

"Nope it wont. There will be always hardcore Sony fans. And to clarify your statement about the PS3 loosing FF13, I don't think so. Keep in mind that Square confirmed that they will finish the PS3 version first. Once that's out then they'll do the Xbox 360 version. If you look at it this way PS3 owners still get it first. Call it a "timed exclusive" if you will...

Worldwide its loosing sales? Yes in the past but the PS3 is starting to break even and eventually they'll sell in the long run. Sony designed this thing for the long term and so far from what I'm seeing and the games and features they are churning out, the PS3 is gaining momentum.

Its also too early to say that its lost its exclusive. I'm sure Sony will not stand by idle. They'll definitely offer something juicy to Square Enix as Microsoft has done to break the exclusivity with the game.

The point is to play the games and not the consoles. I don't choose who's got more exclusives. I choose the console with the games I want to play. I've got a 360 because of Gears 2 coming out (as well as the Live community), a PS3 because of Metal Gear Solid 4 (and a ton of other new games coming up), and a Wii because I like a tad bit of casual games (and so do my friends who come over to visit as an excuse to play with the Wii).

Back at the question. Is the PS3 loosing? Is Sony loosing this war? The answer of a true hardcore gamer would be NO. Because its all about the games... not the console..."

Anime fans 18+, do you hang out with other Otaku?

"28 here. Though there are many people my age that like and love Anime, our problem besides hanging out online in chat and Online Message Boards, is that because of work we barely have time for ourselves, let alone getting together. The only time we meet is when a major Anime/Gaming/Otaku convention is in town and thats it.

I remember back in high school we used to meet up at our local library and did Anime shows. That way we were able to attract lots of other people who up to this day have become our fellow otakus.

I'd like to setup those meets again someday. Sigh..."

"My mom was ultra conservative, so when I was younger, still in high school (and even in college), my mom only approved of the more "appropriate" titles. Imagine what I went thru when I tried to explain to her that Rurouni Kenshin was based on real historical facts so that I could just watch it >_<.

My dad however doesn't care but when he sees me watching he thinks I'm too old for "cartoons".

My brother watches a ton of Anime like me but he does tend to choose more of the harem type Animes. Ah early adolescence, what I'd give to be young again. Sigh... "
