This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

You need papers to download scans, yes. However, you don't have to BUY them necessarily. Check the faq for more details... basically, just be active on the website and you'll be fine.

Great Series, Poor Endings

2 years 8 months ago

"
I used to love watching Inuyasha. Near the end, they just kind of slacked off and eventually it ended pretty wierd and lame. It wasn't complete at all. D:

. . . that was the whole point. The final episode of the anime isn't the ending to the story, which as far as I know, is still being run in print form.

The first anime series that comes to my mind when I think of good anime with bad endings is Gilgamesh. The creators took a lot of time and effort to craft an interesting world and paint intriguing characters, and then squandered it all in the final two episodes. They certainly ended the series though, because they more or less killed off everyone while leaving countless threads hanging.

I wrote a review of the series a while back; if you're interested in reading it, you can find it here."

Does anyone know sites for ordering manga over the internet?

2 years 8 months ago

"If you're interested in getting manga in the original Japanese (I honestly prefer original editions to American ones because of the slip covers, print quality, and the like), you may want to take a look at Acclimate Solutions, an online shop that specializes in manga. I've ordered a number of times from them and have been pleased with their service."
