"Thank you for your kind comments. Regarding the curtain pattern I did make that myself. So there's no extraction involved. As for making more steam I can't figure that out for the life of me. Every brush I try to use looks nothing like steam and ends up looking more stupid than when I started."

"I worked beeding hard on this. I learned how to vector trace and Roy came out beautiful. I created a shower curtain background with rings and a rod. My first submission totally deserved rejection. This one I just don't get it.

"Earlier this week I had submitted 4 scans. I do not remember receiving any errors during the submission process. During the waiting period, I am aware that scans pending approval will still have a thumbnail in my gallery. I noticed that only 1 out of 4 submitted scans had thumbnails in my gallery. The one that was visible was thankfully accepted after the usual wait time.

I was wondering what happened to the other submitted scans. Does it mean they disappeared and I need to resubmit them? Thank you for your time."

"I used the improved roy with moire removal and a bit of fade correction to make him brighter. I added a new texture to make it look more like shower door glass and some water droplets. I'm not sure about the large drops to the right, but maybe you people will like them. ^^;

"Ah yes my total noob-ness does show since I don't know what vector tracing is. hatesyou, thank you for introducing me to the term moire. I didn't know what to call those "things" that I was trying to remove from the scan using soften. Now that I've done some googling, I learned some new techniques.

"I finally got my rejection notice, but it didn't even say you are lacking a sig. I got the "not up to our standards" comment. *sigh*

Here is practically what was submitted: Steam

The one linked does have a sig on it. Roy consists of two layers. One "clean" and one with a soft focus halo effect. The halo layer is on top with 44% opacity and the clean layer at 90%, thus in my opinion producing a misty haze effect.

I used a soften effect to go from the original to the clean as well as reducing his size for the wall.

"The concept is a good start. I really like the the background. The main image is too blurry and looks very low quality. The font is nice, but it is getting cut off thus it looks bad."

"Edit 1 doesn't work for me. Edit 2 and 4 make the characters really pop out at you. While Edit 3 is pleasant to the eye, I think they blend in too well with the background. Call me crazy but I'd try a mix of the backgrounds used in 1 and 2. I love to layer and fiddle with opacity. It probably would turn out bad, but you never know. ^^;

Additionally, that text in the bottom right really needs to be redone. It is pixelated and hard to read. Also placing your sig at the bottom of the picture is the preferred location since the sig is for identification purposes not an artistic contribution to the wall."

"When the "polaroids" overlap they blend together too well, thus negating the effect of scattered pictures that are overlapping. There's not enough definition to keep each "polaroid" separate. I hope that makes sense.

The text looks a little too bland, though I do really like that font. Also there is something about the nice image and the picture collage that doesn't sit well with me. I would explain better, but I don't fully understand it myself."

"I like it so far. The pink and clouds really suit the image. The snow looks weird to me since it's not all over. Why would it be snowing just in that narrow spot over Sakura? There would be snow by kero-chan too."
