I don't usually watch animes that I haven't heard of, but once my cousin gave me his DVD of an anime called Japan... It was about a boy who wanted to create the ultimate bread so that would represent Japan... (Yes, BREAD!).

Then he joined a competition at the largest bakery on Japan. Ah, and he had this 'special power' in his hands, that makes his hands warmer wich helps at baking stuff. Yeah, really crazy stuff. Add lots of cliche and voila!

well, the show is called "Yakitate Japan!" .

at first, i had the same reaction as you did. but i started to watch a few episodes of it and guess what? I came to this conclusion:

1. there is not plot
2. bread is not intresting
3. the characters look bad except for the main character that is a girl
and last but not least...

4. the whole point of this series is comedy. dry humor. that's all there is to it.

but to some people, these kinds of show can be interesting to them ( not me by the way) because it gives them a chance to laugh. comedy is for entertainment. if it makes you laugh, then you would like it.

im not the kind of person that likes dry humor but i dont think its the worst anime i've seen. to me, the worst anime is something magical girl nanoha's a's or something like that.....now that is just a poor imatation of sailor moon.....ugh....
