This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

well, i played with the opacity, and anything less than 99% shows carrie through georges shoulder >.>;; so i just kinda made him darker. i hope it works. . . .

heres a new idea. let me know.

should i put george behind carrie? that would look weird, but. . . it would make him really blend in.
and is the logo in the wrong spot? i just felt like that was the right area. . . ."

Another thing. Down where her feet are supposed to be...what happened there...? Are those her feet? well i dont know how you could fix that but you could try i guess...


yeah, those are her feet. . . supposedly. . . . someone told me a while back that she didnt have shadows on her feet, and i should add them. . . so i did. . . .and. . . . it turned out stupid. should i just take the shadows off her feet? >.> it does look pretty strange, i must admit that. . .

I agree with MythDrannor, drawing a few shadows on Georges scarf will make it more realistic =P So it doesn't look like Georges head is floating in the middle of no where XP
I actually like your first version (the one where Georges face is darker) But what I would suggest is using a lower Opacity for George, so that he 'blends' into the background more. I think it'll look pretty effect =3
And also I think that you could add some text beneath George =P The Paradise Kiss font (extract it from a scan) and place it onto your wallpaper. I really think that'll look GREAT!! ^___________^

T.T not the parakiss logo. . . .i should have gotten it while i still had the books T.T
i had to borrow them from the library to draw caroline in the first place. . . .ah well. i should be visiting soon with luck, and with more luck they will have a parakiss book. altho the series is so popular that i may not find it for a couple of weeks. thats gonna stink, but oh well. . . .
i'll get to work on highlighting george's feathers. . . . it may take a while tho XP

oh, and addressing the opacity thing. . . i really didnt want caroline to shine through him, but do you really think it would look good?
the back ground is really just blackness. . . because i really dont know what to put back there. >.>;; yeah, i have no imagination. my original idea was just those two, no extras or anything, so. . . . . yeah. "

oh, and i really didnt want to tone down the blue. . . i liked it and i felt like i was portraying her vibrant color. . . . but i suck at looking deeper, so meh.

i was trying to convey the yearning for li that sakura showed in her song 'you are my love' and the idea that he is nolonger there, hes out of reach. thats why he's kinda transparent. its not some kind of sick version of fan art, i swear! (yeah, thats what one friend said about it)
anyways, i highly suggest listening to the song while looking at the wp. . . its a good song too, so why not?

here in Germany its up to the fifth Manga I think but it's sooo expencive >< 6.50 â?¬ each Manga >< I think it's likeeeeee... ummm... 7.61 $ or something like this... its really exprensive i think cause the normal Mangas costs 5 â?¬ ( I think almost 6$) and thats allready to much ._.


you think thats expensive? in the US, its ten bucks a book easy. sometimes for the older books or the bigger ones its fifteen. . . . altho, there are some newer ones that are like. . . umm eight bucks. im unsure about that tho. . .

anyways, +anima is a great series. . . ive only read the first two books tho T.T well, i guess i'll get them when they come out. manga is expensive, but thats what libraries are for."

"A friend of mine and i were having a weird conversation last night. . . she was complaining about how her eyes were popping out of her head, so, me being the dumb person i am, i just had to tell her that she was having a brain swelling session and she needed to put her head in the freezer immediately to make the swelling in her brain go down.

As for the movie I didn't like it as much as the last one. It may be because I felt it was more rushed, but I do understand that there was nothing they could do on that matter without cutting it up into multiple movies, which was apparently their original plan.

no kidding. it felt like they were depending on you to have read the book in order to know all the cool stuff that went on that they never mentioned. i really liked some of the parts they left out too. . .*sigh* i was hoping for a better movie. the fourth book was by far the best, and i was hoping that the movie would be too."
