"You need to cut back on the 'random' elements in your image such as the red lines from the top and patterns from the bottom half black bowl thing

stay away from using blend modes on the render character itself because now it looks like the girl is fading in from nowhere

basically, rather than putting too much effects, try to tell a story first and have the piece make sense, although there are exceptions to this such as 'abstract' but they also deliver a sense of story in their own way

the colors are semi-well done, it keeps a theme which is always a good start

last thing, make sure your wallpaper dimension is correct, right now it's 1024x760 (which doesn't fit), you need to make it 1024x768, but in my honest opinion, stay away in designing wallpaper with that dimension since it's fast becoming obsolete

"Edges of the scans are covered up with outerglowing to hide the jaggyness, so need to work on the extraction of the scans

concept is pretty cool but is not executed too well, personally i tend to stay away from using more than 1 scan in a wallpaper, it spread the focus too much

i also don't think you should tilt both of them diagonally, unless you make them in perspective to the background in which case, is not

"It won't make it, it's too empty, but don't get me wrong, emptiness can produce quality as well

but look at it as an overall wallpaper, does it really give any wow factors? not currently

the duplication of the rukia twice behind her being one blue and one black really does not enhance her

the background needs to be more meaningful rather than random shapes and arrows

adding some text is like icing on a cake, so try that too

try to relate the render to the background as well, the pose she has is quite calm and the background seems too heavy to suit the scene, especially with all the red grunge and vectors representing spots of blood"

not enough depth, what do i mean though? i mean the colors need to be richer, stand out more rather than...flat

the font choice at the bottom left needs to be improved, it's barely readable

the render itself is not very eye-friendly, he just looks uhh...im not sure if you can fix this but i personally would never use a picture like that where it's stuck between real and anime

you have a good theme, that's always a brilliant start, but yes add more depth to this and then let's have a look

know that in every piece of work you do, try to give it a meaning or relate the render to the background in some way, that is defined as a 'theme'

if there is no theme, then it's missing a big chunk of potential

blur is fine, but blurring backgrounds tend to be the good technique to use but keeping the render sharp, crisp and clear"

umm, yeah the vector itself is not too bad but it seems really flat as well, maybe because it blends with the background colors

try for some text as well, it's a good space-filler (of course don't make them massive), and the scan line effect is average, i personally wouldn't do it to the whole wallpaper though and especially not over the render, looks like the whole thing is bounded

anyways, not too bad, just add a little bit of effects here and there, and you'll get good soon
