After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

"Much much better - the new version has much better colour balance and the sharpness contrast of everyone is pretty good.I'm not that keen on the background though to be honest, a little too disruptive. You prolly could do better with plain black or slightly textured dark background. Keep the background simple since you've already got busy foreground.
I personally would drop Brandon on the bottom left and put Bob there next to his buddy Lee. Just makes more sense and shouldn't disrupt the composition balance too much. Plus you already have the Beyond the Grave Brandon on top and in the center anyways ..
And if you could, clean up those jap texts on Bob ..
Character extraction of the center Brandon needs cleaning - I can still see white spots and bluey outlines where they should be black. I would also smooth out his black clothing to match the clean vector look of the others - only he has textured clothing. Also, try dark outer glow on him rather than whiteish - that way hopefully blends him in better. Not so keen on the purple glow on the center Brandon's back though ..
Try harder brush for blending Harry and Bear - keep his glasses nice and clean.
If possible, try find a way that you can maintain the hardedged blending between Harry and whitehaired Brandon.
There's a slight scratch near Harry's eyes that could do with some cleaning.
There's some faint scanlines on Bunji's face, the shadowed part, also needs cleaning.
Same goes for Harry's face.
Watch out not to clip the tips of Lee's mouth ..
The purple hair highlights on the girl is too strong. Her character is also too bright - not good when you start losing details.
There's some brown patches on Brandon's white hair near the eyes - looks slightly odd.
The text is good, except the role font could match the name font - just shrunk in height. I dunno, have a look at your typical movie posters for reference - lolz!
All of these are positive feedback btw, all said in a good way and I'd say you're pretty close to getting a real decent wall. Good luck, drop me a message if you need more help! ^^"

"I love Gungrave, it's one of my fav anime and I hope you will finish this wall and submit it.In the meantime, some feedback:
- As other people pointed out, the scan needs major cleaning - no lines across faces
- There is a mix of coloured and monochrome characters - you can either make it all monochrome or make it all coloured.
- I think you should remove - is that Brandon on the bottom left corner upside down? Too crowded and looks strange it being the only one upside down. Maybe put Bob there instead near his buddy Lee.
- Watch out for difference in sharpness as well e.g. compare the sharpness between bear walken's sunnies and harry's face lines.
- Watch out for unclean extraction e.g. big daddy's hair
Another thing to do is decide where you want your audience to look first. The way I see it, the first thing I see is Harry, and then to the left: Bear, Maria, Lee - then to the right: Brandon, Big daddy, Bunji and Bob last. I don't get to notice the 'Grave' Brandon and that chick until the very last.
It might work differently from person to person, but given you've got so many people there, it might be good to make the main focus stands out more (brighter, sharper, more colourful) and then secondary attention getters more shy - that way helps to direct people's attention to your centre piece before everything else.
Good stuff, and as I said, I would love to see this one make it in the gallery.

"Hi maxetal, welcome back!Okay, nice concept and great start but still a bit more work to do:
- The overall feel of the wall is nice, the soft colours work pretty well.
- Font type and colour doesn't suit. Try softer pastel colours or white on darkened background.
- I recommend trying a stock photo for the tree texture.
- I agree with LadySaotome regarding the character, it does make it look like a poor extraction rather than
an intentional watercolour fx ..
Generally, I would recommend avoid using any basic filter fx that comes with a lot of
graphic packages because they often look tacky in its 'pure' form. You can experiment using
layers and layers of filter i.e. duplicate the layer and apply different filters to see if you
can get better result -or- composite multiple filters on the same layer.
I actually steer away from using filters altogether now because I find it hard to get good
results from using filters alone. But the one time I was really really happy with filters work
was with my Stray Cat wall - which was a massive mixture of various filters layered on top of
each other, not to mention the ones merged together.
Another thing about filters is they make things look very uniform if you apply it on the whole
area. Try selecting some areas, apply a filter fx there, blend, pick another area, apply the
filter again, blend again, and so on. That way may get you a more interesting result because
it is less 'perfect' or less uniform.
For watercolour fx you could always try google for tutorials. I personally would manually
draw on top of the scan to achieve that, but drawing might be hard to achieve if without a
drawing tablet.

Because I don't want to end up with hundreds of favs over time. Sure it's a personal preference thing you can disagree with me, but to me I would like to keep my Fav list short and see it as "My fav walls for this week/month/year" kinda thing, instead of just simply endless pit of walls that I liked at one stage in my life. And because of that, I am reluctant to fav anything unless they are 'all time classics' and I won't regret fav-ing them later.
You're misunderstanding my point - I meant editing or deleting your own posts on someone else's userpages. I can make mistakes or forgot to say something and it can be annoying to the other person to find 2-3 consecutive posts from you just because you forgot to say something.

As long as you know which series it's from, that's enough.Lovely scan, I just don't know if it's all that workable especially if part of it is chopped off which is going to be difficult to draw. But you could start by taking one of them off and come up with some simple background design to begin with."

"Hmm .. a few things bug me:- the twirly thingies around him suggest upward movement while the character looks like he's standing still, seems rather inconsistent or clash of idea
- his left arm looks detached from the body somehow - I think there's a tiny bit of layering that is not 'tucked in' properly
- the glows didn't do it for me - inconsistent with the pure vector look
Background colours could be lighter to lift up the foreground character.
