Trick or Treat by °chanelqueen17 1 month 1 week ago

^nat
After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Does everyone else hate fillers?

1 year 2 months ago

"Well i don't really hate fillers. i mean, i think its pretty considerate of them to make SOMETHING for us to watch when the main story is on a break- at least then it can waste time till the main story is ready again. they're kinda interesting, and they are nice side stories. i just don't think its our right to complain about fillers when they're already trying their hardest to please us."

Losers, nerds, and shut-ins

"I think that if you can find a career that you truly enjoy, then you are one of the lucky ones. People who choose gaming as a career probably have to have comsci degrees or at least programming knowledge, since i don't think actual video game tournaments are that frequent and can sustain a life, but i do think its a viable career. They make money, they need skills, and they enjoy what they do- i think that would be my definition of a successful career. Those people ho don't think its a real career need to loosen up and redefine what they think life should be about."

Your desired living environment

1 year 2 months ago

"I'm a suburbs kind of girl:D i've always lived in the suburbs and i guess i'm used to it- and i've always loved it. It's the perfect mix of city and country. In the city i sometimes feel claustrophobic and lost due the huge amount of people and the tall skyscrapers everywhere. I wouldn't mind going downtown to go shopping or traveling, but i would definitely hate living there. and the country has TOO much wide open space- it sort of reminds me of horror movies, and i wouldn't be able to go out often and walk to friends' houses since they'd be too far away. I guess i'm sorta biased, but suburbs definitely feel like the perfect home to me"

Beijing 2008 Olympics

1 year 2 months ago

"I definitely rooted for china in this one since i'm chinese canadian. My mom laughed and said how come all of a sudden i classified myself as chinese and not canadian, and i told her that in the summer olympics i am 100% chinese, and in the winter olympics, i am 100% canadian:P this is probably cuz china kicks butt in the summer olympics and canada does really well in the winter olympics- its one of the perks of having dual citizenship:D but this time, i missed the closing ceremony, which really sucks- i think i might buy the dvd..."

So I keep getting called a pervert

1 year 2 months ago

"They probably just don't understand what they're seeing or what anime is. It's kinda understandable, since in most anime's female characters have a lot more skin showing than necessary, but for people who watch anime- they're used to it. For those who don't, i guess it kinda seems like hentai. Just refer them to a good anime- one that you like, and they should see that there's no pervertedness in watching good anime."

Real live Dragonball movie

1 year 2 months ago

"I don't think it would be a success outside of hardcore db fans. DB is already pretty cheezy- though awesome- as an anime. As a real life movie, i think it would be even cheezier. I mean- the scenes where Goku shouts Kamehameha for an hour or they fly around the world- i don't know if the non db fans would want to go see this, or if they did- if they would understand what was going on or appreciate it."

Would You Buy Designer Clothe?

1 year 2 months ago

"No way, at least in this stage of my life. I don't even have a job yet, and there's no way i could be able to finance this sort of exorbitant spending. Also, i'd be scared to wear any of the bags or clothing out of the house, since i'd be scared of tearing it or spilling stuff on it. and what if it RAINS? i'd be so paranoid if i bought crazy name brands. I just stick which normals clothes that won't break my bank account:P"

How does you family feel about Anime?

1 year 2 months ago

"I think i'm the most hardcore anime fan in the house. My brother also watches anime, but he's more indiscriminate- he likes anything- like tv shows, asian soaps and anything else that might be watchable- no matter what language. He does ask me now and again to refer some good anime's to him, but most of the time he searches for himself. My dad will also watch anything- but he's more of a tv surfer- he won't go out of his way to watch anime, but if it happens to be on- he'll be interested to see what it's about. My mom doesn't watch anything except chinese soaps, and i think she'd kill me if she knew how much anime i watched!:P

Looks or personality?

1 year 2 months ago

"I think personality is more important, but i usually look for both. Looks is what draws your attention, then if you get to know them to see if they have a good personality. If their personality sucks, there's no way i could start a relationship with them cuz when you spend time with a person a lot, you actually have to LISTEN to them- and a bad personality would eventually drive me nuts."

Addictions

1 year 2 months ago

"I get minor addictions to video games- if they're interesting. For example, when i start a new game, i probably won't notice as hours go by- cuz i just have to see what happens next. I'll probably play the game everyday until i either finish it or get to an acceptable level. I usually snap out of it if there's a glitch in the game- aka, it lags or it freezes- then i have to start over and i get bored so i stop playing all together. Since i don't really have that great of a laptop for games, this happens quite often, so i don't have to worry much about becoming too addicted to games:D"

Man rapes 8 day old baby

1 year 2 months ago

"I didn't even think that was physically possible... but if you think about it- the guy probably has several mental issues- cuz there's no way that seeing a baby and thinking sexual thoughts is by any chance normal. and it had to be his own baby too... i don't really think those types of people are reformable- because to go that far- i don't think they WANT to change. society does get better, but you cannot believe that all the evil in the world will disappear- because there has to be balance- without evil, how will we determine what good is?"

other peoples grammar

1 year 2 months ago

"For sure! it bugs the heck out of me! i don't really care about capitalization and punctuation marks, but bad spelling and grammar makes me want to stop reading- especially when the bad spelling is just due to laziness- like skipping half the letters for no good reason. even on msn- i always try to spell properlly unless its a word like "cuz" since thats how i say 'because' in real life too- but i refuse to believe people actually talk like how they type ALL the time!"

The Dark Knight

"I watched it already- it was pretty awesome, but i'm not much of a gore kinda girl, so my friend told me when to close my eyes so that i wouldn't see disgusting stuff. Even so, i was unable to miss two-face- that was pretty disgusting! seeing the bones and stuff was totally gross, but even i had to appreciate the beauty of the special effects there. and the joker was amazing- he did his job very well, and his character really came across as crazy and unbalanced as it was supposed to. Would i watch again? maybe not so soon..."

MATH or SCIENCE? what do you most prefer?

1 year 2 months ago

"Um well i for sure prefer maths- i have a more logical mind, and for me the sciences are a little confusing. I don't really understand chemistry, and biology loses me completely, especially since its mostly memorizing facts- but i'm ok at physics, probably because its mostly like math, using formulas and stuff. Math is good cuz it just follows a train of thought an you just keep seeing it through and you're fine..."

Have you noticed ..

1 year 7 months ago

"Definitely, criminals are coming in younger and younger packages these days. The best example i can think of is that recent incident in a certain city concerning several 3rd graders. A teacher had scolded one of the children for standing on a chair, so he and the children had plotted revenge. The next day, one child brought a steak knife, one brought duct tape, and one handcuffs and one brought a paperweight. The rest of the children were either in charge of covering the windows with artwork, or clean up duty. The plan was to knock out the teacher with the paperweight, handcuff her, tape her to a chair, then stab her multiple times. Luckily, someone saw the child who brought in the knife, and the plan was stopped early. Think about this- they were children just 9 or 10 years old, and they were already plotting murder. I can't even imagine what the future will be like."

Has technology making us lazy?

1 year 7 months ago

"Definitely, technology is making us lazy. If you look back, neanderthals were built so much larger than we were, just because they required the muscle to survive. When i think of technology, i think of any machines that were invented to make man's life easier- like the wheel. The wheel made carrying things so much faster and easier that we don't really need to work as hard as we did before. Sooner or later, humans will become extinct, because we won't be able to fend for ourselves and live off the fruits of our own labour, instead of the push of the button."

Which Career Path would you Follow?

1 year 7 months ago

"Following your parents' dreams will only begin a sick and twisted cycle. Whether you want it to happen or not, one day your parents will pass on- it's a fact of life. When your parents are gone, and all you're stuck with is a job you hate for the rest of your life, it'll only cause you pain. Also, when you have kids, you'll then push your own unfulfilled dreams onto your children, and they will then have to endure the same pain you yourself felt.

A job you love is always the best choice. If you work at it hard enough, eventually you should receive enough money to live off frugally. As long as you're happy- that is all that matters- if your parents love you, they should see how happy you are and accept your choices in life."

should freinds quarel a little

1 year 7 months ago

"For sure friends should argue. Just because you're friends doesn't mean you have to agree on everything. Arguing is good for any kind of relationship, because you're true feelings really only come out when you're really, really angry. As long as you respect your friend's opinions, and don't get too serious in debating, there's no problem at all with friends arguing"

"Yeah, actually it's one of my pet peeves. I hate it when people type out conversations in msn speech- you know, when they shorten every word to the smallest possible length. It annoys my friends when i take too long to type, but i just cnt stand it wen people tlk like this. To me it just shows laziness- it only takes a minute more to spell properly. (>_<)9 emoticon"

Ever been inspired by Anime?

During the episode about his rice cooker bread- the show was interrupted by this real guy who showed the actual recipe for making bread in a rice cooker, and i suddenly had a huge craving for bread- so i made it.
It was SO GOOD!P(T_T) emoticon"

Time travelling

1 year 7 months ago

"Erm...well, through the study of physics, Einstein's space-time theory is that if we were to move at the speed of light, then the objects around us would slow down...i think...and so if you consider yourself as moving very quickly and everything else as moving very slowly, i think you can sorta call that travelling to the future...sort of...9(>_>) emoticon"

math=hard or easy??

1 year 7 months ago

"Math for me actually isn't hard at all, it's one of my favourite subjects- i know, i'm a freak. Erm...my favourite topic would be differentiation and calculation, though i can't do it backwards for integration very well. I get usually mid-90's in tests, and the only advice i can give to those who struggle is that- in math, practice really does make perfect. In other subjects you have to "understand" the concepts, but in math, if you do enough questions, you'll eventually run into all the basic "types" of the questions, and those hard questions in tests will just seem like variations of those easy homework questions. And about my mom...well if i brought home a mark under 80...i think she'd kill me..."

Do you believe that BISEXUALITY exists?

1 year 7 months ago

"I definitely think so- especially in the growing stages, when life is still unsure, and you're still deciding. However, for these people, i don't think they are very serious, since to come out in the first place takes a lot of courage, and if you decide to be homosexual, it should be a pretty strong decision. If you're kinda wishy-washy about your decision, then you aren't really serious about actually being "attracted" to either one, just not caring which gender you have relationships with. I think bisexuality is easier in guys because they don't get as attached to their partner as girls do. As for hermaphrodites, there are several precedents to that theory that prove the existence of hermaphrodites, so that really isn't in question."

If you're gender were to be changed. . .

1 year 7 months ago

"Erm- i've always been kinda a tomboy, and most of my friends are guys anyways...so if were to become a guy, i don't think i'd have that much trouble. That is not to say that i would WANT to be a guy, cuz being a girl definitely has its perks. For example, if i were a guy, i'd not be able to enjoy clothes so much, at least not in the open. I play competitive badminton, and i know it would definitely be WAY harder to win if i were a guy. Also, generally, in the emotion department, guys aren't known for that being their strong suit, and whether they know it or not, a good cry is very therapeutic, and i know i wouldn't be able to do that anymore. In general, i think i would just be way more shy and introverted if i were to become a guy...but my general lifestyle wouldn't change all that much"
