"I thought about adding Kurogane in the background at first, but I wanted the focus to be on Fai... and whenever I did add Kurogane, it was flat out weird :T Text was never on my side *laughs* I'll raise the opacity on that... The shadow was used to bring it out, but it does look somewhat awkward now that I think about it. I'll try out the grey and see how it look XP Thanks for the ideas."

"I was thinking of potentially adding a wind effect so it'll add more emphasis to the page changing. I'll have to continue this wall after exams though. The biggest problem I'm having so far is a background colour."

"It's been awhile since I've actually made a wallpaper. Anyhow, after colouring this from scratch (It was a full black and white image before) I was wondering if I could get some feedback about this before I submit it. I feel like something is missing (whether it's a texture or not) I was debating whether to keep the colouring flat or not, but after attempting to shade, I thought it would look somewhat odd because of the new style CLAMP is pulling off. Dull colours have been used rather than very vibrant ones since I wanted to try to put an old look but I still have a long way to go, here's what I have so far. I know some parts of the colouring has yet to be perfected so there's still some touch up areas needed to be done.

I'll upload both the 1600 x 1200 version here:



and the 1024 x 768 for those who want a faster loading image:



Any feedback for improvement would be nice. Thank you.

Worstest Anime I've ever seen.

"Worst animeIv'e seen... hmmm well I've mentioned elsewhere Dokuro-chan scared the living shiat out of me. But, that's not the worst. Worst thing I've seen was Patlabor. The plot was terrible;; I watched a few episdoes, actually not even X_X I barely lasted one. Another pretty bad one was come to think of it, probably Neon Genesis Evangelion. that series disappointed me way too much as I expected so much from it."

what is the most funniest anime you ever watched?

"Dokuro-chan scared the living crap out of me but it's pretty funny.

Fruits Bakset the anime is absolutely terrible in comparison to the manga, but it's pretty funny since they exaggerate a lot.

I'm surpised no one mentioned Gravitation. It's so freaking funny with Seki doing Shuichi's voice, when he usually does monotone, well not really, but never perky voices at all, from the roles I've heard. K's a crackhead, which makes me laugh even more and there's so many chibi moments. The plot is absolutely terrible and I hated the anime, but the anime is sooo funny."

"Lemme think... about 13 years now from what I can remember. I started when I was 5 I think with Sailor Moon. It got me hooked on anime, even if I didn't really call it that when I was a kid. It wasn't until Digimon that I really got into it; more specifically, Card captor Sakura was a huge influence as well. That was in about 6 years ago I think. Therefore technically, I really really got into it 6 or 7 years ago. GAH too many figures @~1@"

Favorite Shoujo Manga?

"Too many Fruits Basket lovers x_X I can see why, it was one of my favorites as it started so strong, but I'm starting ot find it weak, as I'm getting to volume 13 I think. But anyhow, my favorites are Card Captor Sakura (which I'm surprised how no one mentioned yet), DN Angel (another no one has mentioned O_o) and Imadoki, for now.

Card Captor Sakura's storyline may not be the best one, but what compensates is the realtionships that form and develop throughout the series. Yes there's the teacher/student idea, but I overlook it as it isnt' really a real prominent theme in a way, just a reoccuring one in 3 relationships.

As for DN Angel, I'm at volume 8. Once again, out of the series I've seen, it doesn't have the best of the best plot line, but the way she's developing the series is not in a bad way. I'm really thoroughly enjoying it, and even though I watched the anime first and then went with the manga, it's not making me hate the anime. The characters are really cute in many ways, but admirable in another.

Finally, I'll talk about Imadoki. One of the main things that attracted me was the fact it was a short series, only 5 volumes (to a student without a real income, it's always a good thing to have a short series) This is Yuu Watase's first series that doesn't have any real magic, like in her other ones, which makes this story pretty short and sweet. She did make Tanpopo perhaps a bit more perfect than a normal person, but, in some ways, she's more realistic than any other protagonist I've read or heard from her other series. Maybe it's me being biased, but what can you do right? It's one of my favorites XP I read a lot more shoujo series than watching, or so I've noticed ^^;;"

Your favorite NARUTO's CHARACTERS

"Well, Iv'e only been keeping up with the anime, so I don't know if there's another reason in particular with the manga that woudl influence my reasons for my favorites. The weird hting about this series that makes it so attractive to many is that you can always seem to find more than 1 favorite character and the fact that relatively everyone seems to have an attribute or characteristerics that you can relate too.

I really like Kakashi because he amuses me, he's really an interesting character with amazing skills, but most of all, he's one of those characters that you need to wait to see what really makes him, him in the way that he really values some things that makes you able to relate to him.

Rock Lee is a definite favorite, because of his perserverance and how he states something that's really true; something about how hard work is better than genius and how you get more from it.

In general, I like most of the characters really, so it's pretty hard to find favorites, but here's 2 of them that I really liked since the beginning. Shikamaru is pretty much among the list too, but others you don't really appreciate until later or vice versa."

Why does Every One Seem to like Inu Yasha?

Yes, I am a huge fan of other series, and those fandoms have their own crazy people. But Inu Yasha seems like this fanatical cult (not all IY fans are scary, but a lot of the newer ones are). And no one knows why. x_x

After reading what there is so far, I just had to point my view myself. This is the first forum I see that provides many points I thought I shared alone with some of my friends. I couldn't help but quote you Hisoka because you bring up the main reason why I've come to really not liek this series. My biggest problem is most defintiely the fanbase. What really makes me tick is the fanbase it creates, the one that consist of the people who start anime with this series and seem really shallow and it's really frightening, because in many ways, I think anime is more than hot guys and kids screaming so and so is so hot. The series itself, even though I've only watched the anime and glimpsed at the manga, has a very weak plot to begin with. It's a simple adventure series that doesn't really have a good plot and it never ceases to question how these series can create such a monstrous fanbase.

I know that every fandom in any series does have the random idiot or person that sees nothing in the series but for aesthetics or has no real apparent reason to like a series but so and so looks good, but for some reason, I can't see what makes this one so special that it spawns such a large population of them. The art isn't that great, and relatively all of Rumiko Takahashi's work have really simple artwork and aren't really that pretty, or so I find. I'm not one that hates her work honest. I love reading Ranma 1/2 (even if I've never watched a single episode) and I've been reading Mermaid Saga, which I think is a better series than Inuyasha.

So anyhow, I'm not carrying my ideas based on watching a mere few episodes, in fact, even though I'm not really enjoying the series, I actually watched almost all the episodes up to date with YTV (sometimes I wonder if I just have too much time in my hands). I don't think it would really make a difference whether it was the dub or a subtitled version because I think what makes this series weak is the plot and the characters themselves. Looking at where this thread is going, I really think this thread would be suited better to go into the anime section as most people would watch this series, or would know this series more from the anime. I hope I wasn't rude or anything X_X "

Struggling to get this right

"It seems easier to see what to put or not do with the texture since its' a part I would like to keep. I tried to make some techy things, but it doesn't seem to go. I was thinking of keeping this texture, giving it a sand like or maybe like the wind blowing the sand kind of texture.

I've tried to incorporate some cacti and some other desert plants, but nothing seems to work. My product presently is this:



To the previous 2 post-ers, The sqaures on the left were really my miserable attempt to fill the space with something and it was part of the huge picture, that's about it. I did add some plants, but they're not greenly visible. more like layers to add to the background by using some actual desert plants, but screen-ed or overlayed. I don't know whether I should fade one of those layers more though. I got rid of the reflection or zoom, or whatever you call it. The left was still a bit too empty for me, so I tried adding words.. It's probably pretty bad, I'm terrible at making an attempt to belnd it in. So yeah >_<

Any old anime that stayed in your memory

"Hmm old anime memories... I have a lil list of them...

Sailormoon because it was one of the first anime series that I actually kept watching until the end (minus star, but I saw bits and pieces).

Dragonball Z, to think I saw GT before Z ^^;; But anyhow, my colelction of DBZ video tapes I'd spent everytime recording and trying to make commercial-less OMG, so many tapes, so many hours I am never getting back in my life, but the explosions and the punches and kicks were enough to keep me going for a good bit until I was like, I am finishign this because I spent way too much time tyring to. It's not as if it's the greatest series either, but at least it gave me something to talk to guy friends too, like Kalico XP

Digimon, I remember when I was absolutely in disbelief that it was another pokemon rendition. I really fell in love with that series... And this was the series that really got me into J-pop and Anime music in general... Ahhhh butterfly

Escaflowne: Was one of the first series I've really come to appreciate all aspects of the anime. It was a short, but extremely great anime. This was also the beginnign of my Maaya Sakamoto worshipping days *laughs*

First anime movie that always sticks in my head is definitely My neighbour Totoro, it's still my favorite Hayao Miyazaki film... Sure I watched it when I was like 7 or 8 but stil ^^;;"

I've been watching Bleach, Air, Tsubasa and Naruto, but I delete all but Bleach ^^;;; I have a few Air eps left to rewatch but I only kept all the belach for my sister to catch up and also since it's now in AVI format, it doesn't kill it as much. I haven't really burnt any anime in particular."

"This is my first time using Session Zero, so umm as the title states, I'm in need of some assistance. I don't know exactly if this could be considered a landscape wallpaper, but even if it isn't I'd still like to finish this wallpaper.

"Anime has been a childhood thing I've had and as the years go on, it's been waning on me. Slowly, my interest in anime is decimating. I still love a lot of the older ones over the new ones (1996 was a golden year indeed *laughs*) I dont' hate it right now, but a lot of the latest series seems so brainless and plot-less. I've grown up wiht anime, since I always loved cartoons and anime especially because I was a) a sucker for beauty and art and b) I loved the elaborate storylines and how characters and their relationships develop and c) I love the music whehter it's inserts, openigns/endings or bgm. So anime, by the end is a hobby"

One piece or Naruto

"This is a little hard to compare since they're both really in many ways apples and oranges, but if youv'e gotta debate, currently as it stands, I'd go towards Naruto.

Naruto has characters people can relate a lot more than One Piece in my opnion despite the fact we are talking about 12 year olds, they do seem to show things an older person would show. One piece has thing we all desire as well, but I find that Naruto develops it a lot better.

Also, right now, naruto does have it's boring parts and is indeed dragging it out unfortunately, which can be something decimating the fans in many ways. My opnion can be pretty biased though since I've seen more Naruto than One piece. I really do like both series but too bad they're so long ._."

"It depends on the series, from what I've seen this publisher gives a decent translation to most series. All my mangas so far are from Tokyopop then again, I've only collected Pitaten, Dn Angel and King of Bandits ^^;; I think they do a heck better job than Viz or Darkhorse. I think only Del rey beats Tokyopop so it seems."

What anime that's make you want to see it again, and again, and again?

"Card Captor Sakura is a series I'd watch over and over again. This is one of the few anime adaptations I've really enjoyed and there's something about it that makes you go awww and laugh no matter how many times you watch it.

There's also Vision of Escaflowne. This is one of the only series I've come to like the anime way over the manga. The short-ness and the way they dont' really drag the series out was done beautifully.

Finally, some episodes of naruto are defintiely rewatchable over and over again. Such as episode 101 with Kakashi's mask and Haku saga and from about 110-120 ish or the episodes where Chouji, Neji, Kiba, and Shikamaru have they're own fight. The episodes where they search for Sasuke but not the fight between Naruto and Sasuke since Sasuke's an ass >_>"
