"That's a good question. I think the longest i've been away from anime is about 1 week. And that was only because i decided to watch a TV series called 24 (which happened to be excellent). I watched season 1 - 6 in a little over a week. now that i'm caught up, it's business as usual. i've got plans to finish off Kemeko DX tonight, get back on hitman reborn, catch up on bleach, and finish To Aru Majutsu no Index by sunday. LOL"

Do u like Naruto Shippuden story

"I love the Naruto Shippuden story. I just wish they would speed it up a little. I remember when it first came out, I was psyched! I would faithfully wait to watch it every week. But now, I wait until a bunch (at least 20) of them come out. Because it just doesn't seem like the story progresses very much in one episode. I love the intricate details and how the characters develop, I just wish the story would progress a little bit faster."

"I got hooked on this anime after the first two or three episodes. But they really sold me after we ran into our first real kisshin. From that point on, i've had to keep a real eye out for this anime. I have to watch it the second that it's released. I don't care who the subbers are (even though Rumbel are superb), i just need to see that anime!"

"I was instantly hooked on this anime in the first couple of seconds that it started. When he jumped in the air, they shot the arrows at him, and he bounced off the arrows and down into the woods, classic stuff. The other part that got me was when the woman said that they could stay at her place as long as they didn't go in the back room. I will say that i was a bit baffled a few episodes into the anime, but it's all starting to come together now. All in all, this looks like it's going to be one of the better anime releases this season. "

"I haven't read the manga, I've only been watching the anime. But, I got instantly hooked after watching the first episode. For some reason, it reminds me of NaNa. You know, a very goofy main character who idolizes her boyfriend, and then for whatever reason they end up breaking up and then the true story unfolds. So, even though it's reminiscent, they're not so much alike that it makes me want to stop watching. The artwork and story are great. And I definitely like Kyouko's devilish side. Looks like she's got a lot of latent acting potential too."

"Question: why did Lelouch lie to Suzaku? I mean, he came to him and asked him for help. To me, it seems like he should have come clean about how his geass went out of control and ended up making Euphie slaughter everyone. He should have also explained that he had nothing to do with Sophie's death. Instead he perpetuated the lie. In his grand scheme, you would think it would be better to have Suzaku on his side, than against him. Then again, Suzaku was too adamant about doing things the "right" way. So anyway, why do you suppose he lied?"

"Man, that last episode (17) was crazy. For a second, I was about to be slightly disappointed. I mean, Suzaku damn near loathed Lelouch for what happened to Euphie and Sophie, but then it looked like he was on the verge of forgiving him (after damn near smashing his face in the ground). That would have been a less than stellar ending to what had the makings of a lifelong rivalry. However, after the way things turned out, it looks like Lelouch is going to be the ultimate, cold-hearted, nontrusting fiend of them all. If he doesn't die, and if he manages to overthrow his father, Lelouch will be the new ruler of the world. Of course, in order for this to happen, he has to suffer one more loss: the death of Nunally. If that happens...man, watch out father, big brother, old friend, everyone. If Nunally were to die, Lelouch would turn into the ultimate villain."

"I seem to agree with the original post: the old anime had a lot more potency than this new stuff. I think most of the anime out today is watered down. It just seems they don't take the time like they used to. Some of my favorites were Tenchi, El Hazard, Love Hina, Evangelion, Blue Seed, etc. Most of the new stuff doesn't compare. Occasionally we'll strike gold with a few series like: Code Geass, Death Note, Gundamn SEED, etc. But, to me, a lot of the anime out right now is hit or miss. Thank God we actually have some "old faithful" types of anime like Naruto, Bleach and One Piece that deliver a semi regular fix while we're starving for other good anime titles to appear on the net. "

"I actually start watching this anime after I read some of the hype in this forum. It turned out to be a pretty good anime. This thing has tons of latent potential to get better. I can definitely see this thing going for quite some time (as long as it doesn't fall victim to budget cuts). That animation is priceless, the characters are lovable and the humor is just plain hilarious. When Black Star first introduced himself as "the human being that will surpass God" I was on the floor DYIN from laughter. Yep, I think I was hooked right at the moment. And, if not then, then definitely the part when Death the kid grabbed those boobies and noted how asymmetrical they were (who would have seen that coming). Bottom line, I have high hopes for this anime. It peaked my interest so much I had to scour the internet for the manga series just so I could read a up and compare the two.

Rating after watching 16 episodes: two thumbs up, can't wait for more! "

"Code Geass is definitely great anime. These last few episodes have had some devastating twists. I can't believe Rolo killed Shirley. I could have cried when that happened. I mean she really got the short end of the stick. First, Lelouch kills her father, and then he erases her memory. Then she finally gets it back and forgives Lelouch, wants to support Lelouch, and then ends up catching a bullet because she wants to reunite him and Nunally (Rolo is a bastard). And, if that wasn't bad enough, now Suzaku blames Lelouch for her death. That's crazy. I can't wait to see what's in store for them throughout the remainder of the series... By the way, anyone know if there's going to be a season 3? "

"I don't know. When it's all said and done, I think the two of them will have gone through way too much in order to ever go back to being friends. Who knows, maybe one of them will have to be on their death-bed before they can bury the hatchet. Otherwise, i don't see them ever reconciling. The scary thing is Suzaku seems to be turning into Lelouch little by little."

"I just started watching Hitman Reborn on 2 days ago, and I'm already on episode 65. for some reason, i don't think it's all that great. The characters seem nice, but easily forgettable, and at times the anime can progress rather slow. the one thing i can say about it is it keeps you wanting to know how it ends. again, not because it's the best anime in the world, you just end up wanting some freakin closure. it's definitely unique, but i don't know if it's going to make my collection... i just need to know how it ends. "

"Well another short anime has come and gone. I didn't see any threads about this one so I was wondering what the rest of you anime loving social butterflies thought about this. I watched the series from start to finish yesterday...and it was hard. If you haven't guessed by now, I thought the anime could have been a lot better. There was barely a plot. And it was centered around this beautiful fox spirit basically wanting to rape this little effeminate high school boy. And, of course, he spent the majority of the anime trying to keep her off of him. To sum it up, this anime was just dumb. There was no point. Has anyone read the manga? Is it better than its waste of space anime counterpart?

"This anime was insanely refreshing and innovative. I enjoyed every last minute of watching this series. However, I would have to agree with some of you guys. The ending of this anime was a little lackluster, and left me wanting more. Also, I was a little sad about how Light ended up. Sure he became a merciless bastard at the end of the anime, but I still liked him. I don't think he deserved what he got. it's not enough that they killed him, they took away his afterlife; no heaven or hell in his future. . . That had to suck. I hope Lelouch V Britannia doesn't end up the same way."

"I'm with you guys. This anime started off like such a powerhouse. It's been a while since i've seen it, but i definitely remember the ending to be lackluster and very disappointing. up until the last 5 or 6 episodes, this anime was something to wreckon with... then it just went downhill FAST. I had high hopes for it, like Berserk. but, in the end, it just didn't add up."

"I don't know if i agree with that. Season two is great, but i don't know if it's better than season one. Season one laid the foundation. It's because season one was so phenomenal that season two is even worth watching. I can't wait to see how this thing plays out. This is one of my favorite animes, up there with Evangelion, Death Note, and Gundam Seed."

But this movie was fantastic. Definitely something worth watching, it had all the makings of a great anime. "Alright, so i finally caught up. I just got done watching episode 77 last night and I've got to tell you, this anime has made a tremendous leap into excellence. The first two seasons (eps 1-51) of this anime were alright. I mean, they were something halfway decent to watch if you didn't have anything else to do. But at the start of the third season, things changed. All of a sudden, everything got way more interesting. I guess it happened when they introduced the plot of the "Fallen" (with Shuman). Is anyone else even watching this anime? This thread has been kind of neglected for a while. "

"So I just got done watching the first episode of season 2 and it's excellent, as expected. I was wondering how they were going to pick up where season 1 left off. I think they did a wonderful job. I'm just sad that the episode didn't last longer. There were 2 things that I really loved about the first episode: 1) seeing Karin in that outfit and 2) seeing that smug look on Lelouch's face when he got him memory back. I tell you, season two is going to be great! Here's to another wonderful season!
