After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

"Greetings fellow wallpaper designers, it sure has been a while for me to visit animepaper and a few things seem to have changed. To be honest, I've pulled a few wallpapers out back then, but somehow lost interest in doing more and mainly focused on web design afterwards. I've recently picked up designing wallpapers again and want to present you guys a new project of mine with the recent start of Full Metal Alchemist 2."Verbotene Zeremonie" focuses on Edward Elric. I've wanted to project the burden that he has to carry be creating two sides of him, which he also sometimes shows in the Manga. I've named these sides "Despair" and "Righteous". While the wallpaper may look minimalistic on the first look, it has deep impact on the viewer in my honest opinion. Please focus on Edward's Righteous side for a while and then switch your point of view to his Despair side. Frightened? I bet you are. Due to it's minimalistic style and only focus, it also offers enough icon space for the user. It also is quite scalable for any resolution.
However, let's get down to the technical point. The wallpaper is near completion and was created in two phases. The first phase mainly was about extracting Edward and creating an appropriate render in Cinema 4D to use it on his arms in order to symbolize how much power both sides own. The second phase was about giving Edward the right "feel". By "feel", I define that you should get the fuck out of your basement if you see his Despair side. This included redrawing parts of his Righteous side. The total amount of layers used to create this minimalistic, yet effective wallpaper, is up to 70 as of now. I'm still thinking about re-arranging the text, but I'll see what to do with it.

"Heya CrashanQwazil and Hihenkihen :).I'm not a pro myself, but I'll give you two some tips ;)
Tip 1: Read many many many many PS(Photoshop) Tutorials.
Tip 2: Patience.. If your wallpaper didn't turn the way you would it like to have, then overthink the concept and make yourself notes on which parts you could improve your wallpaper! And always remember that patience is the key to victory.
Tip 3: Practice often and try to find your own technique on how to create your wallpapers.
Tip 4: As you improve in GFX, you'll also get a color feel, which means that you know what color fits together with blue, for example.
Tip 5: Don't force yourself to create wallpapers. After your wallpaper got accepted, relax and take a break till you got an awesome idea for your next wallpaper :).
Tip 6: Cleaning a scan costs you many hours and is not that easy as you think. I for myself only clean a scan if the scan was not already rendered by someone or if theres no render availabe.
Tip 7: Last but not least: start your winamp, turn in a good song and start designing. You'll wonder how fast the time passes. I usally listen to "Dragonforce - My Spirit Will Go On" (awesome song if you're designing! give it a try :) )
I'm now working with PS since 2 years and I'm still learning!
