Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Which do you prefer? animes that leave you satisfied? or animes that leave you wanting more?
10 months 5 days ago
"Anime that leave me wanting more has always been my favourite, even though I feel annoyed for a bit after XD. I suppose its because if I don't like the ending, I wouldn't feel too weird thinking of or reading about a different path the story could have chosen. Besides, open-ended ones usually leave me a lasting impression."View
If you could live in an anime would you?
1 year 3 months ago
"Nah. Anime is fun to watch and all but I wouldn't want to spend my entire life in one. I find that an anime is either too dramatic (omg, the angst) or too dangerous. I'd probably die within 5 minutes of stepping into the world of Bleach or something."View
What will u do if your girlfriend/ boyfriend hate anime??
1 year 3 months ago
"I wouln't talk about anime/manga around him.So far, this tactic has worked with my friends. We came to a compromise, I don't talk about anime/manga, they don't talk about something they obsess about but I hate. Everyone has their taste, and I respect that. ALL of my friends hate anime/manga so I think dealing with one guy will be easy.
Honestly though, I wouldn't date an otaku. Anime and manga will be the only thing we'd talk about and that would be boring."

D.Gray Man

"D.Gray-man is a great series... in general. The anime started out great but later succumbed to fillers. While its great that some of these fillers expand on the history of characters (and a few actually used the novel material), it would be best if it actually got back to the storyline; the recent chapters are really top-notch."View

"This series really needs more love. If not for the fact its a sports anime, then watch it for its strange sense of humour. Subs are kinda taking awhile but atleast someone's subbing it. There's always RAWs if you really want to see what happens next."View
What anime do you think needs another season?
1 year 3 months ago
"I actually have quite a few horrible experiences with sequels. Lately though, some aren't all that bad. Still, I say some series that left off before their manga counterparts' ending deserve another go.Hikaru no Go needs some more love. It's true that both anime and manga ended rather abruptly and an OVA or two covered some of the storyline past the anime series, but I believe we need to see more. I loved the manga ending since we ended where the series started and I'm sad that it wasn't shown.
Ouran High School Host Club speaks for itself.
Spiral anime isn't exactly well-known. I say it should continue based on the manga material. Completely mind boggling and scandalous (in a good way). The mystery of the Blade Children was far deeper and sinister than it seemed."

What kind of ending do you hate the most?
1 year 3 months ago
"I hate the typical-happy endings. I'd like some more plot twists, cliffhangers, and sad stuff just to take my mind off the fact a series actually ended. The next day you might realize the series ended and be sad for a few hours but in a few months you'll think back and say "Ahhh, what a great ending that was.""View
?Ergo Proxy?
1 year 8 months ago
"Ergo Proxy is one of those animes that actually went and finished till the end (most of the time I drift away halfway through the series if it doesn't grab me). Nice artwork and storyline. The plot could be confusing at some parts and there are times when story and character development is so slooowwww. But its still a series worth the watch if you're into sci-fi and that stuff. It actually reminds me of Kino no Tabi during the whole travelling part. The characters are lovable, especially Pino and plot twists and mysteries just make you want to know the answer. All in all, a good, solid series."View
Are your family member or people around you dislike it when you watch anime?
1 year 10 months ago
"My parents don't mind (since I counter back with teasing them about their obsessions) but half of my friends like it while the other half hates it with passion XD. I once got into a fight with a friend because of it actually. Apparently I had talked about it too much with another friend of ours and she felt left out. We got into a compromise that as long as she doesn't talk about filipino dramas like the obsessed fanatic that she is, we won't talk about anime around her. There's another friend who absolutely HATES anime so none of us anime-watchers in the group talk about it around her. We somehow found common ground with Cloud (oh thank you Cloud for being such a bishounen XD). So in the end, I just find it easier to not talk about anime at all when in school or out with friends."View
BEST STORY
1 year 10 months ago
"The most captivating story line for me would have to be Hikaru no Go. It had so many deep quotes about life in general and the progress of the main character as he grew up was amazing. One moment you're reading a chapter where he's young, still has baby fat on his cheeks, and immature. Next your reading about a mature teen (who's still somehow reminds you of the kid from way back) who overcomes many obstacles and strives for a dream which may not be possible in the first place. The change was quite sudden and I didn't realize that he had grown up till I saw an emotional breakdown XD. It's been 3 years since I've last read it and I still think about it (perhaps because it left at such a cliffhanger XD). FMA plot actually comes quite close but I just like the fact that Hikaru no Go is almost a slice of life genre in a way (disregarding that supernatural thing and how it helped in the plot)."View
Fav. Anime series 2006
1 year 10 months ago
"The best anime from the 2006 lineup has to be Ouran Highschool Host Club for me. The art was strange and colourful, the opening music was eyebrow-raising, and the ending music so well done I play it atleast once a day. Most of all, which I usually hate but somehow found refreshing in an anime series, it had absolutely no plot! XD Pure character drive and comedy made it a hit which is quite impressive.I admit I have yet to see Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, but only because the first episode put me off XD. I probably should see it but for now Ouran shall be my best anime of 2006. I would tie Code Geass with Ouran but it's still airing so it doesn't count. Perhaps 2007? Well with the wonderful character designs by CLAMP added with tradegy, angst, bishounen out there for revenge, its definately interesting. I suppose the no. 2 anime of 2006 would be Welcome to NHK. It was an amusing slice of life. Perhaps this was the anime that manage to get that article about hikikomori in a western newspaper. Anyways, it had a captivating storyline and I loved the opening."

CLAMP's new manga
1 year 10 months ago
""Kobato." is such a cute manga ^ ^ (and I seriously find it amusing that the period is actually part of the title). I've read a couple of chapters of both the "." version and "temporary" version. Definately cute and it makes me sad to know it is only released monthly. The art style reminds me a lot of Card Captor Sakura which is my all time favourite series forever XD. I, for one, like the doggie ^ ^. Adds tons of humour to the story and keeps clumsy little Kobato in line."View
New anime 2007
1 year 10 months ago
"Currently I'm watching D.Gray-man, Death Note, Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto, and, my favourite, Code Geass. Quite a lot and definately keeps me busy. Code Geass and Death Note art quality are top notch and music is amazing so I can't complain. I'm okay with D.Gray-man, but I just somehow find the art lacking Hoshino's new style and the music is typical shounen. Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto (what a mouthful) is pretty good and somehow reminds me of Ergo Proxy in terms of most of the guys' eyes. The background music they use for action scenes is kinda getting overdone though and subs are slow (not that i'm complaining).Oh and yes Bokura ga Ita. A romantic anime full of drama, laughter, tears and is so sappy (in a good way), cute, heart-wrenching it just makes me giggle as I think about it.
I have high expectations for the 2007 line up for spring and around autumn. Looking forward to 5 Centimeters Per Second. I just fell in love with Makoto Shinkai's art and the music they used for the trailer was moving (almost thought it was Ghilbi's work for a second). Naruto: Shippuuden is a given. Best birthday present ever XD. I cannot wait to see Sai and his strange humour. Still waiting for news of Kakashi Gaiden (must. see. Yondy. animated.) There was something about a new Ghilbi movie by Hayao Miyazaki's son and whatever happened to that rumour of Gundam Seed movie to tie up GSD? I heard somewhere of a new Gundam in the works but can't be too sure (perhaps something other than Seed universe XD). Remake of Evangelion is a must see too. Code Geass season 2 after the season 1 finishes and breaks for 2 seasons. With all of these new anime/movies (plus 3rd book of Avatar hopefully o_O) I shall need a new hardrive."

The best Naruto opening...

"I love the Yura Yura OP video. The Naruto fighting thing was tripy XD and the guys were in suits and casual wear which is rare. Re:Member comes quite close. I remember the time it played. Since the song and video fit in so perfectly, almost everyone thought fillers were gonna end soon XP."View
Where do you store your anime?
2 years 1 week ago
"Boxes... currently since I just moved. I used to have small bookshelves that held my books, manga, dvds, and cds. But for now, my anime and manga stuff are in small boxes in my closet or garage. I don't really have posters or figurines and that stuff, just a couple of fanarts I bought from AE which are with my sketchbooks on a ladder... shelf... well its a shelf that looks like a ladder >_> "View
Is their an American show that is on the same level as anime
2 years 1 week ago
"Same effect... similar? If so then Avatar: The Last Airbender. It has the deep plot, developing characters, well made animation, and pulls out a variety of emotions. It's the only American show that I actually tune in like I do with anime. Simpsons, Family Guy, and South Park are definately up there (well one big reason is because they're popular). I find it interesting how they make parodies of current events going on, make it funny, and still make the audience know that such things "are" happening without smacking them in the face and yelling "go out there and do something!"."View
Is watching anme addictive?
2 years 3 weeks ago
"Yeah its addictive... but I suppose it also depends on the person and anime. I mean I know lots and lots of people who hate it or just don't like it (and they've tried watching it). I like anime but there are some story lines that just don't draw me in enough to make want to finish it. I've watched Loveless, X, Welcome to NHK, and Saiunkoku Monogatari and I didn't finish those animes. I watch them when I have absolutely nothing to do. They're popular, but for me I don't like them enough to continue watching till the end. In some cases I read the manga continuously or finish it and not watch the anime (ex.: Naruto, Bleach, and Black Cat... I know weird for me to not watch them eh?). So yea, addiction depends on the person and anime. Lolz but I find it funny since the anime Welcome to NHK is about an anime otaku who thinks the whole anime thing is a conspiracy or something."View
American Manga is it the real deal?
2 years 4 weeks ago
"I read some manga done by Americans like Red String. It's not in manga format but its black and white, uses Japanese names, and is done in "manga/anime style." I don't read as much manga done by Americans though. Most are too forced. Some are okay though. By the way, it is true that "manga" is a Japanese word but it means comic so Japanese people would say that Death Note and X-men are manga... I think. It's just like the word "anime". It's Japanese for cartoon. I saw in my cousin's Japanese book that above the word anime they had a mickey mouse picture. Though, manga is usually used to refer to Japanese comic and anime to Japanese cartoons by us Westerners (just like how we use "manhwa" for Korean comic and "manhua" for Chinese comic)."View
What's your favourite CLAMP work
2 years 1 month ago
"My all time favourite series is Cardcaptor Sakura, no question about it. I suppose its because it's my first anime (well there was Sailor Moon ... but I mean come on...). The art was lovely, the plot made you stick to it like glue, and the overall series is the whole package (it even made my anime-hating friend get obsessed with it). There's Tsubasa, but CCS will always be the original for me. I read almost all of CLAMP's other series and they're also superb works but CCS just stands out for me. Their new work, Kobato, is actually pretty awesome too. They use CCS's art style (so Kobato reminds me of Sakura in some panels) which is my fave. I gotta say though, I love xxxHOLIC and all but I'm not into the art style... I find it too straight and black."View
CLAMP MANGA

"You're missing CLAMP no Kiseki, The Legend of Chun Hyang, Man of Many Faces, and RG Veda and they're all published by Tokyopop. But wow, that's some impressive collection you have there. I'm also a CLAMP fan but unfortunately not enough money XDI suggest trying Naruto, Bleach (the usual XD), Death Note, Hikaru no Go, D.Gray-man, and Angel Sactuary. Kino no Tabi is a good, deep story too and I think the manga is going to be out here in the West sometime October."

Did You Noticed? That Most Of The New Anime Are Short?
2 years 1 month ago
"Nah I don't think animes are getting shorter... or something. They just go by season and content (I don't think popularity has anything to do with it since if it did, FMA would still be running XD). Look at Bleach and Naruto for example you can't get 200+ and 300+ chapters and compress them into 12 episodes. Same thing a short series like Jyu Oh Sei which had 4 volumes of content and was made into 11 episodes (you just can't make up episodes just for the sake of making it longer). Unlike a bunch of Western cartoons, anime has seasons (which makes sense because there's an actual "plot", you know a beginning and ending). I kinda like short animes actually. That way less hassle on my harddrive and you can move onto another one a lot faster. Long animes are okay too, but with long animes you get filler episodes, which I dislike... a lot. I've always seen anime as seasons so I don't think its getting shorter, but I guess some people are thinking differently XD. Just try to think, if the anime is short, that means a new anime will come out next (actually now that we get quite short animes like FC, the number of animes coming out seem to have shot up by a lot ... or is it just me XD)."View
Ever happened this to you?
2 years 1 month ago
"It never happened to me while downloading manga (mostly because I download straight from the scanlator's site) and when I get RAWs usually I downloaded them on purpose (like Spiral, the scanlation is slow and I couldn't wait so I just download the whole manga series even though I can't read Japanese XD). It happened when I was downloading an anime movie though >_<. I think it was Soukyuu no Fafner: Right or Left. It was a torrent and took forever to download but in the end it turned out to be French subbed. Total disappointment XD. I understand only 40% French and I'm a slow translator so I had to delete and download the english torrent in the end."View
Do you have difficulties to read mangas for the first time?
2 years 1 month ago
"At first I was confused since I was new and didn't know if online scanlators flip the image just like production companies do. But I got it after awhile though switching from manga to manhwa occasionally makes me confused when reading manhwa (even though I know its left to right for manhwa, my eyes automatically read right to left)."View
HOW MANY EPISODES DOES AN ANIME HAS TO HAVE?
2 years 1 month ago
"Anime with 25 episodes is good. That way I could watch them real quick and go and start another anime. However I like anime with 50 episodes because that way the ending won't be rushed and the plot has time to explain itself without having a 2 boring episodes explaining everything. Anime like Naruto and Bleach are gonna have episodes that reach the hundreds which is understandable but this means fillers (which I despise). Ouran was a good anime that I wish had 50 episodes since it was so awesome (I wish they'll make a second season). Also I've watched short animes that have 13 or so episodes like Jyu Oh Sei, FC, and Princess Princess. They're pretty good. Just like the quote says "Quality over quantity". Though there are always a few exceptions. Its always sad to see the end of an anime though."View
