Well Okami-San, i use to act like you, most of the time, i read the first and the last page of a topic.. just to see what is it about and how people are answering to it. Real discussion?

"I'm sorry to ask that, it's not in a negativ purpose or anything.. But just i noticed (and did it also a few times) people often never read what was posted before them.
Is all in here just a way to earn papers? (i have to say that i'm not going in others sections than the "general discussion" thread, because i have nothing to say in the others actually.. So i don't know if it's different over there)
That's quite a pity, because no discussion is created, it's just a list of "i think that" "i think that" "i don't think that" etc etc.. And nobody answer to nobody, or very rarely.
It means on a subject like "do you think TV should be censored?" which could be an interesting discussion and exchange of point of view, it's just some people posting their thoughts without reading what others said. And there is no discussion, nothing to discuss with.
Sometimes i do the same, posting on a subject without reading what was before, but it's really rare, i try, most of the time, to find someone i could answer to, just to see if we can start something.
I have the feeling that it's just "ok, we have to participate to earn some papers.. let's particpate and tell what we think."
That's interesting to read other people's mind, but it could be better if we talk to each other.

No? Am i saying something stupid? LOL

Don't get me wrong, it's not to criticize any of you.. It's just to try to make things better and more interesting around here ;)

Should the News In America be censored ?

"Actually, i thought that news in America were allready censored.. Like in most of the countries today in the world. (In France, that's a shame to watch the news, they are all so unreal and manipulated!)
To Tell the truth to american people, will end on telling that the event of 9/11 was not as surprising as it seems, it seemed actually pretty well prepared if we give faith in some proves and theories that are growing right now. Tell them that the media were manipulated (like in every country) to bring fear to everyone and make us accept anything the government will propose (which was, of course, in their interest!)..

So i don't think the american tv should be more censored and manipulated than it is allready now. Except, if censoring means: show the REAL truth.
Which, i guess, won't be believed by most of people in America and in the rest of the world. Unfortunately.

TV shows us what we want to see. Nothing more.

This is so called "opposite attracts". Call me crazy if you like, but according to the theory argued by Northrop Frye, male tend to have a more intimate relationship with his mother, and female with her father. It is merely human nature, try to accept it.

Well.. I'm not human.. LOL I'm a woman, but i've a closer relationship with my mom. Don't misunderstand, i love my father and couldn't live without. I mean, if something happens to him, i would probably go crazy. As if something happens to my mother, or one of my brothers.
We have all a really close relationship to each other. Maybe we are something like an exception.. :P

"My favourite, in front of everyone on earth and i think that no body could ever replace him or do better than him, it's Edward S. Curtis.
He is THE man who gave 30 years of his life to travel all around north america, to take pictures and to write all the Natives Indian stories. Their habits, their legends, their songs, their rituals.. Everything about every tribe in North America. He wrote it down and put every thing in an encyclopedy made in 20 volumes.
Huge ethnological, artistic, and historical work that nobody knows... And that's a shame.

His pictures are just amazing and so beautiful.

I admire him like noone else in my life. he was a great man.

"I just think Football Cup will once again be on EVERY TV channel at EVERY moment of the day, and that will be a pain in the a**!
And it's also a good way for the government to make everyone forget about what happens in the world... Suddenly, there is no wars any more, no natural problems, no society problems... Amazing! LOL

Well, i've nothing against football really, i even watch sometimes. It's just the way the medias and the goverment use it, i don't like this..

And for my point of view about who will win, i can just say one thing: it won't be France LOOL, we are dead since the players decide that appearing in adds on TV, or be a ( sometimes nude) model in calendars or whatever, was better than train themself for the next championship! LOL
That's REALLY a shame...

"Well, if it's a wallet, i wouldn't even notice that there is money inside, cause i won't look at it.. I would just pick the wallet and try to see whose is it, with the ID card or so. Bring it back to the owner if i can know who he is. If not, i'll bring the wallet to the police or somewhere else. :p

If the 50bucks (euro for me :P ) are on the floor without wallet, i'll keep them for myself! And said "god, the loser must be really sad right now... But he has made someone else happy!"

"I like you! Or at least, i loved Interstella 5555 !

I'm not a huge fan of DaftPunk, maybe just cause i didn't take the time to listen all their albums.. But Interstella 5555 is just great! I was totally amazed when i saw it. First, because i'm a fan of our beloved Captain Harlock, or Galaxy Express 999, so i enjoyed the character design and the animation! And second, because i loved the way the story was told : via the music and the images only. No dialogues, no speechs, no sounds, except the music.
How great it was!

I don't know if it could work well to release a lot of "musical anime" like this one. That's really special, and i know that it has not got the success it should have (in my sense). Maybe in the future or only for the musics fans.. But for all the other people (the comon mortals LOL), it can be boring.
And as a matter of fact, you have to make an anime with musics that can fit to everyone, just to be sure that a lot of people could like it. Which is, i think, really hard to do because of all the different music taste of everyone.

does alien exist?

"The thing which is really scary, it's not to imagine Alien Invasion, but imagine the fact that we are completly ALONE in the whole Universe... That, is really scary in my point of view.

Human being have to believe that there is something out there, a God or an Alien, that's no difference. It's just to protect us from thinking that we are alone. Because if we were, that would be terrible for the responsability we would have : life. If Life is just a huuuge coincidence, something that happened only once in universe, and it was on earth.. Then we have the duty to protect it, and that's not really what we're doing, are we?

Don't you think it's even more scarying to think that we are alone. That nobody is watching us in the infinite universe? I confess, this idea freaks me out! Really... That would mean we are lost, like a few people on a boat in the middle of the ocean, and nobody to rescue them. Maybe that's why we will all end by eating each other.. Maybe that's why people are so aware of keeping us in the belief that there is life somewhere!

Dan Brown...and his books...

"Wow.. I have to say that i really don't like this author for several reasons... I read "The Da Vinci Code" a few weeks ago, and i found it interesting, in the way that the adventure is nice to read. I mean, i wanted to know the end, but come on, he is a bad writer. He's writing just as a beginner. I'm not telling i'm a great writer, but i recognize in his style, the same technics and mistakes that i use and do.
For exemple, this way he has to give part of information and the more you read, the more you get and understand, just to keep the suspens. It's something that you usually don't "feel" in a book, except if it's badly writen, and for Dan Brown, that's the case. I was like "ok, he's gonna give 5 lines of new information and stop when it's gonna be interesting, just to make us read the rest." And all along his book it was the same trick... That's not what i call a good writer.

Next, there is all the informations that he gives, to finally say nothing. I mean, he is not taking part in his own theories, at the end, nothing happens, and we finally know nothing more than in the begining. I mean, yes we know more, but it's so light.. He is not giving any afirmation actually. He is just supposing everything, and not taking part in his stuff. It's just like "ok, i give you that, do what you want with it, i've no opinion."

And come on, the end of the book......... That's a shame... HAPPY ENDING!! YEAAAH!! Everyone has to be happy and everything has to be allright. Come on... I'm not telling anything on the end, cause some of you may not have read it yet, i don't want to spoil..
I guess the only thing that makes me finish this book, was the hope that "no, i'm wrong, he is not gonna dare finishing with the BIG happy ending i expected already on page 34..." And yes, he did it...
A big good marshmallow disney happy ending.
Just good enough for a movie... Strange isn't it? ....

No really, i really think that author is not interesting at all.. But ok, that's MY opinion.. just expressing it ;)

If there is true feelings between them, i won't do anything to separate them. There is no use of fighting and hurting everyone just for a selfish feeling of being betrayed. Of course there is this feeling, but ok, what can we do?
Hit him or her with a table and sream as hell and insult them? Don't seem so clever LOL
Everything will be better for eveyone if we just accept it and wish them to be happy.

... Well, this is all so great and beautiful, but come on, i'm not naive about all of us, i know that's damn' difficult to do in real situation! LOL
But i really think that if there is true feeling between them, that's the best way to act. And the best way to act is never the easiest..

It doesn't even make sense. Why would satan punish you for not obeying god? Wouldn't he rather reward you for doing what he likes you to do instead. If he's punishing bad people he's basically on god's side. It seems like a terrible business model to me.

True.. Don't understand why, for example, people who comit suicide go to hell because it's against the Faith for God.. So what? As you said Plunkies, that would mean that Satan punish people who do bad things in regards of God.. So yes, means he is on His side... Strange...
I think there is, here, some problem of logic in their papers LOL
The Bible says: Ok, bad people go to Hell.
This is ok.
And then they say: Satan is pushing you on the wrong way, do not follow him.
Well, here is the problem. If we follow their ideas, why should Satan punish souls that didn't follow the path of God? If he is the one who push us in that way..
Crazy...!
Or maybe Satan is just a paradoxal guy LOL Who like to do the contrary of what he says. LOOL

A french writer said once that Satan was an angel like the others, the difference lied in the fact that he used to push Humans in their own stupidity until they understand that what they were doing was stupid, and do it a better way (or should i say : a God's way:P ). I think this idea is quite interesting, and that would explain many things ;)
I'm sure Satan is working for God LOL After all, he was his first creation ;)

Well, and to answer the question, i really do think that we are going on the direct way to Hell at the moment. And if now we have no idea how Hell could be, if the world continue that way, we will see it quite soon...

Seems that Human is too idiot to understand he is acting with so great stupidity.
