This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I am a genius etc. / Then, one summer night, when the air was hot and she could not sleep, she looked out her window and found a man staring into her room, his eyes was those that belonged to a hungry beast, devoid of all emotion... only lust.

The little girl had no friends of course, she was lonely all the time, I mean, how could you have friends when all of them upon shaking hands ended up dying? And so, she was isolated, by the summer... she was in a hospital, sealed away...

Serial Experiments Lain

1 year 6 days ago

"Lain is the first anime I ever bought on DVD, actually I think it's the first DVDs I ever bought. Got them at the same time as I bought my DVD player (still have and use the same player, has worked great so far) back in 1999 or 2000 I think. I have to admit though, that I was somewhat confused by it back then. But I sill really liked it, remember it had nice music... especially the opening theme.

Should totally rewatch it someday soon, seeing as I've matured and hopefulle gotten smarter. Maybe this time I won't be as confused by it :)"

Cowboy Bebop

1 year 6 days ago

"In the last month I watched through Bebop for the first time and I must say that it was totally amazing, totally in my top ten that's for sure. And I was kind of sad in the end when spike died (or did he, maybe he just fainted from blood loss?). I haven't seen the movie yet though, is it any good?"

Post a pic of your figs here!

"Yeah I know, it's pretty awesome. Just wish I had somewhere to put it.

Just now I briefly entertained the idea to glue it to one of our dogs, to my credit I decided to do a mockup beforehand in order to decide if this would be a good idea or not, here's the pic

In the end I decided not to do it as I realized how unpractical it would be, I mean it would be practically impossible to get the dog to stand still and pose for extended periods of time whenever I felt like casting my eyes on the statue and so on."

Blood+

"At this point I've watched the first 25 episodes, when I first started watching I though the show would be filled with non-stop action. But yeah, that's not it at all, some people would find it too "slow" I guess I'm blessed with an above average attention span and taste because I like it so far, so I'll se the remaining episodes when I get the chance.

That said I hope there's some serious action comming, I want to see Saya cut some things up!"

What are your turn-ons?

"As long as they are alive really...

Seriously though, I guess if I have to pick something without going into specifics I really like short women, I'm not talking about midgets here, but yeah."

Should manga only be japanese???

1 year 1 week ago

"I guess it depends on how you define the word. Technically speaking "manga" simply means graphic novel, right? That may be what the word means in Japan but we in the west really don't mean the same thing, when we say manga most pople mean comics from Japan while others may refer to the visual style (for me a manga is more than a visual style, so just because some western artist decides to "draw people with big eyes and pointy hair" doesn't make it into a manga.)

Manga, for me, comes from Japan and is influenced by Japanese ideas and society and so on. I mean, I really can't see that something like, just an example because I've read most of it, Bleach could ever have been created in America. The same goes for my current favorite manga, Fullmetal Alchemist. Every society have different ways of presenting a story in the end."

"I actually only own a single statue, that is the Motoko Kusanagi PVC statue from VICE, saw a pic of it once and just had to get it.

As you can see I haven't removed it from it's box yet, mainly because I seriously don't have anywhere to display it, totally out of shelves and other flat surfaces.

Here's a studio pic of how it looks out of the box, not my picture though

If you have a lot of money

1 year 1 week ago

"Depends on how much I had really, let's say I won the modest sum of $10 million (I'm not greedy, $10 mil would do just fine). First of I'd share my new wealth with my family, I think I'd let them split $1 mil between themselves. Then I'd take another $2 mil for my own general use, first of I'd buy a house and whatever furnish and stuff I'd need. Some nice new TV and a sweet surround system and stuff like that.

I'd still have a lot left of the $2 mil I'd put aside for use, but no rush I'm sure I can spend it given enough time. I'd travel some as well, lot's of interesting places to see.

Anyway, that leaves the other $7 million, I'm not sure what I'd do with that, Investing it would probably be wise but you wouldn't want to risk losing it all on the stock market and stuff, so I'm thinking I'd let a portion of it just sit in a bank and collect interest and invest the rest to start with.

Obviously I'd never have to work again, unless maybe I'd start up my own business of some kind (which would be interesting but maybe also coslty as I run it into the ground...)"
