"I like this version now, but only after an hour of research ;) . I still have some questions left, like: how does a member get notified when one of his wallpaper is +faved, since that was normaly done via the message section. Also when I type a comment on a wallpaper and it refreshes, the comment's not there, but the comment counter does go up +1... Maybe this has been answered before, if so: sorry.

Update, now it does show my wallpaper comment, only I've double commented @ http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/wallpapers/latest/item49825/

"Let's see, the second PoTC was more exaggerated than the first one (for example: the battle in the wheel scene). I feared the whole 'Flying Dutchman' concept would suck when I saw the trailer, but it didn't, in fact I liked the new squidheaded bad guys. Also I really apreciate Barbosa's comeback because he's much more of a pirate than Jack Sparrow to my opinion (Jack's more like... A clown).

Does anybody know how much more PoTC movies they'll make? "

"Hmm, the soft bevel and emboss effect on the flower brush doesn't look good compared to the clear edges on the other elements. Also the 2 thick black lines aren't fitting in with the rest. The scan generaly looks good but personally I think a vector or a less complicated character would fit the sunbeam background better, but that is ofcourse an opinion. Like Inuspal said, the text ´2006´ looks a bit out in the open a little, maybe you could support it with the little text in the beam above? Overall the wall has great potential, I'm looking forward to the final work."

Nice work :)
I just think that the patterns on the wallpaper are too big, it makes the eyes wander and not focus on the pictures.
It needs darker shadows too.
The angle of the picture on the floor, is not synonimous with its frame.
There's something wrong on the ripped part of the wallpaper...it's not realistic enough? (not the wood)
can't describe it, but you'll know what to do. ;)

The shadows and the pattern's are just fine to me, but your right about the ripped part and the picture.

Just a suggestion try different kinds of frames, on each picture different.
Gold-gilded frames, silver ones, thick wood frames..etc

Do you guys think graphics will become perfected?

"I do believe that eventually some videocards will be able to produce photorealistic graphics, but not in the near future because of:

Tools for creating this kind of stuff have advanced over the years, however the methodology hasn't changed all that much. In the meantime, I guess increasing texture sizes and shader effects incrementally will have to do.

But the thing that difers a game from real life is not just graphics. For example (to stick with Half-Life 2) I think that interaction with the enviroment (picking up objects, physics etc) are much more important for realism. And even if you'd play a game with photorealistic graphics you still wouldn't be ably to for example build a sand castle, since the sand on the ground is just a flat texture. Bottom line I think that in the future there will be graphics close to reality but then other stuff as physics will be more important. Unless where going to do matrix-like stuff gaming will feel absolutely real.


Does Half-Life Episode One have better graphics than HL2 by the way?"

"You might try the Fuji Finepix F10/F11 since they seem to rock at taking pictures in low-light conditions, which you will be facing a lot if you plan on using it on a regular basis. Other options might be the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX9 (or if you want to spend a little more, the DMC-FX01 which is a little better), Canon PowerShot A540, Sony W50, Casio Exilim z750, Olympus 710 etc. There probably are more camera's that'll fit your budget than I can come up with so you might as well check some review sites like DC Recourse, Steve's Digicam's and Imaging Recourse... Good luck making your choice :)

!Germany!

"I always get my computer hardware in Germany, it has lower tax than here in the Netherlands and it's only 3km/s away. German car's rock, and german food rocks too, and german people are friendly (in general, you've got idiots in every country) and last but not least, the German language is the bomb. And to make it even funnier they voiceover every movie... Ever watched for example a western dubbed in German? "Heeey Johnie! Wo sind die Pferden?!"... Really, really hilarious.

I understand most German words and can easily read an average German text, but I suck at writing it or speaking it. So it's kind of one-way-communication for me -_- ."

Do you collect your anime series or you get rid of it when you watch it

"I'm not burning anything on DVD right now, I'd just end up not finding any series and never watching them again. Great advantage of keeping your series on Harddrive is that you can just watch one episode of something or just a little part of an episode (which I do extremely often) without you having to go look for a DVD and putting that into the DVD-Drive etc. Thats just way to much effort to do each time. I only watch anime on a computer so if I ever burned something on DVD I'd probably NEVER watch it again. I have 414 Gigabyte of anime stored on my computer at the moment."

"The uncoloured part arround the ear and ribbon etc. are not 'not coloured', they're just coloured black. And the fact that it looks rather sloppy is because it was ment to look that way ;) The shadow's are just a copy of what I saw in the screenshot, this screenshot to be more precise.



That also explains the reason why it is filling up the whole paper, since if I'd make it smaller I needed to make a part of Yukino up (in which I am not all that confident). But I see what you mean with that it looks like I just was trying to fill the wall up. I already thought about making some fire effect to make the evil/good aspect stand out more, but I haven't yet thought up a way to make it fit the overall 'style'. On my to do list then are: #Making some fire FX #(try to) Make the screenshot smaller, #Fixing the colours and some other small things.

what do you think of love hina?

"Love Hina well... I hate the main boy character (don't know the name anymore), I hate the cliché characters-falling-over-each-other scene's. I hate the story, or more the lack of one. I hate the OP and ED. And what I hate most about the series is that everyone else likes it. I really could go on bashing this series for hours and it still won't be enough...

I think of Love Hina as about 'THE' most overrated ecchi piece of cr*p I ever saw and I never want to see it again."

"South Park and Topgear are my favorite TV shows, I also tend to download a lot of old cartoons (like Ducktales) which I used to watch just for the fun of it but I don't count those since I'm not actually watching them and they're not made anymore.
