Oh, my, god. I've been more offended in my life, but this is up there too. I don't know where to begin... I'm very appalled at almost every single one of these responses and sentiment regarding suicide.

First: suicide is NOT a coward's way out. It's a last ditch resort of someone who wants to live, desperately even, but decides that death is the ONLY ACTION that lift the burden on his or her shoulders. Do any of you people honestly believe that a coward could:
*Put a gun to his head, thinking of the kids he'll leave behind, and pull the trigger?
* Imagine everyone who cares for him while standing on a ledge, and jump anyway?
* Cry at the thought of a significant other saying the words "I love you," while slitting the throat?
* Bitterly laugh at the fact some jerks will think the act is cowardly, and jump off the chair with a noose?

Suicide is the result of one person's pain exceeding his or her available coping resources. Or how about I put it in blunt terms? Suicide is the ONLY way out to a person if his or her only friends shared these statements: "you're a coward if you do it" "you're weak if that's all you can do" "life's like this, deal with it or get out of our way". If a persons friends think that of suicide, you can bet that person is NOT going to seek help.

Do you all think that suicide just pops out of nowhere? Because people live with the feeling of wanting to die, REALLY WANTING TO DIE. Imagine feeling that way. EVERY DAY. For YEARS. Imagine knowing that everyone around you doesn't want to talk to you about your stupid "emo" suicidal feelings, and coming home one day. Imagine feeling that particular day that it's not that you can't, but you DON'T WANT TO live like that anymore. You calmly decide that you're going to kill yourself, because no one cares, no one helped, and you see WITH THE VERY BOTTOM OF YOUR HEART that there's no point in living!

And before anyone tries: I am not trying to be insulting, and I am not trying to personally attack any of you for your so called "views." I respect your right to say them, even though they're blatantly wrong and ignorant. But I sure as hell won't stand quietly by and say that ANY individual who has to END HIS OR HER LIFE so that their PAIN would simply GO AWAY is a coward! That is not the case at all... Honestly, what kind of person thinks such things?!

Someone close to you could kill themselves because they saw no other way out, and perhaps wanted to talk to someone, but remembered a painful comment about your view of suicide. This person can be:
*Your mother
*Your father
*Your grand father
*Your grand mother
*Your aunt
*Your uncle
*Your brother
*Your sister
*Your cousin
*Your friend
*Your best friend
*Your girl friend
*Your boy friend
*Hell it could be you!

I'm genuinely mad here. And I've seen people argue the suicide point, defending the victims, futilely with people of such sentiment found here. So don't ANY of you think I'm on some moral high horse thinking I've gone and changed your minds or the world about this! Because I know I probably didn't!

But I don't care! You wanna know why? Because someone feeling suicidal feelings may have chanced upon this topic. While reading all your LOVELY comments, and feeling like crap while reading them, might come to mine and know that everything said here about them is FLAT OUT WRONG!
They're not cowards, they're not losers, and there is nothing wrong for them to look for help! The people who think such things of people in these predicaments are the real cowards and losers. Cowards for fearing to speak to his or her peers about troubling feelings and issues. Losers for not having the guts to do something scary and uncomfortable like that, especially since it could save someones' life.

How dare such people say without an obvious ounce of sympathy, empathy, understanding, or basic respect for LIFE try and JUDGE anyone without knowing them or the circumstances that could render such an outcome like sucide.

But I'll give a little parting gift for you people ROLLING YOUR EYES (I know you're there):

Imagine the ONE PERSON you truly care for more than the WORLD, more than your own LIFE even, say how much they appreciate and love you. You go out, do whatever you do, and while wallking you look at this person and FEEL IN YOUR HEART that there is, or just might be, a God because such a person exists in your life. Nothing could be better, life couldn't be better, and this person makes you feel you can handle anything. You love this person, you may or may not make it obvious, but if a kidney was needed or you had to jump in front of a bullet for them, you'd do it without even THINKING. You look up to this person, for having strength, love, or beauty despite or because of the circumstances they've been through. You remark how much you appreciate them for being awesome or badass.

They give you a smile and tell you you're one hell of a girl or guy yourself. Then they drop their smile, and ask out of nowhere "Could you take me to the hospital, please. Because if you don't right now, I'm going to kill myself."
